 Welcome to the Kanto'n'Johto Safari Zone! Here in this enclosed area, we have many rare poke'mon that are enclosed in their natural habitat, some of which are only available here. This is a trainer's paradise, and we're now releasing it to the public. So come on in, have a blast, and catch some poke'mon! Here are the rules that apply to the Safari Zone: 1)No Surfing 2)No Fishing 3)Poke'mon can appear every 3 posts. 4)Unlimited time spent in the Safari Zone 5)RP poke'mon can only gain exp, not fight. 6)All wild poke'mon appear at level 25. 7)Your options are when a wild poke'mon appears: A-throw Safari Ball, B-throw a rock, C-throw bait, D-Flee. Note that Safari Balls have the same capture ratio as an Great Ball, and therefore, may fail. However, like the games, throwing a rock or some bait will influence the capture. IF you throw a rock, the ratio goes up by 10%, whereas if you throw some bait, the capture ratio goes down. So please pay attention to this. cool Wild poke'mon will flee after 3 turns of watching, 2 if they're hit with mud/rocks, 4 if they're given bait. If it is not a turn the poke'mon is supposed to flee, then they will watch carefully. 9)You must leave the Safari Zone once you log out. There is no camping allowed. 10)Only allowed to enter from Fuschia City. After 3 posts, generate a random number from 1 to 18: 1=Nidoran (male) 2=Nidoran (female) 3=Nidorino 4=Nidorina 5=Venonat 6=Rhyhorn 7=Exeggcute 8=Chansey 9=Pinsir 10=Scyther 11=Kangaskhan 12=Doduo 13=Paras 14=Parasect 15=Tauros 16=Venomoth 17=Lickitung 18=Togepi Remember that all poke'mon appear at level 25!

Chloe entered the Safari Zone, feeling a bit wary without her Pokemon along with her. After all, she had been relying on the strength of her party from day one. It was slightly unsettling to be suddenly found without them.
But, she smiled faintly, as she made her way through the tall grasses that signaled the start of the preserve's lands, there were plenty of Pokemon here that she had been wanting to catch. So she figured she could do without her party for a little while at least.

Chloe opted to try to go as far as she could into the preserve. Logic made sense that there would be less Pokemon right by the front entrance. Not to mention it would be rather boring to just wait by the door until she saw a Pokemon.
And so Chloe headed out past the checkpoint house that marked the first area, making her way east, following a slightly worn path.
"Kay, so I have to keep my fingers crossed for any of the nidos, Ryhorn, or Kangaskan. With any luck I can find one of them before I have to leave," she reasoned quietly, ducking beneath an overhanging branch as she waded through a tall patch of grass.

Chloe had stopped momentarily, spotting something shining slightly in the dirt. She knelt, brushing off the heart scale with a smile, "Well, I have some good fortune already," she laughed, tucking the scale away in her bag.
A rustle in the bushes caught her attention as she froze, looking up. She rose, searching for the source of the sound. However she paused a moment later, spotting the Lickitung.
"Hm, an interesting Pokemon to be sure, but not really what I was after," she decided, watching the strange Pokemon picking apples with its long tongue.

Chloe eventually crept around the far side of the underbrush, not wanting to gather the Pokemon's attention. She somehow managed to avoid detection, as the Lickitung was more interested in its lunch than the human trying to sneak around it.
Once out of sight, Chloe brushed a few of the stray leaves that had clung to her. This certainly wasn't the best outfit to go exploring in, she decided. For one, it was hot.
"Ah well, I won't be here too long anyway," she mumbled, rolling up her sleeves to help keep a bit more cool.
"Just as long as Julian's gym battle, then I'm back out. Although I have to admit, this is a really cool place." And it certainly was pretty, she realized, taking a moment to take in the scenery. It was hard to find a spot that wasn't taken over by human influence. And while there still was signs that this wasn't complete wilderness (checkpoint houses, signs offering directions, and the sort), the influence of Pokemon and nature were much more prevalent.

Turning her attention back to the path at hand, Chloe returned to exploring. She let her mind wander for a bit. She couldn't help but worry a little about the upcoming troubles with Lance. She was a bit anxious that they hadn't seen anything from the Champion since he had retrieved the completed blade. He had to have some plans for it, however, exactly what the dragon master had in mind, she had no clue.
Letting her train of thought continue, this led to Notaro, which caused a shiver on Chloe's part. The madman had to be up to something as well, if anything that Kaya had said back in Canalave were to any indication. She didn't want to see anything that had to do with the scientist getting ahold of Arceus.

So wrapped up in her thoughts and attempts to make plans, Chloe almost missed the Pokemon entirely. A startled cry of, "PARA!" caught her attention, as she jumped, barely avoiding tripping over the Parasect in her path. The mushroom-topped bug had apparently been sunning on the path when Chloe had come along.
"I'm sorry!" she offered the Pokemon, who didn't seem too angry at least. She offered the Pokemon a bit of bait as an apology, and bowed slightly, "I really should be watching where I'm going, huh?" she smiled, "I'll be out of your way now, promise!" she offered.
Leaving the Parasect to his own vices, Chloe continued down the path, this time a bit more wary for giant mushrooms.

Her thoughts continued to wander a bit, as Chloe continued on. Although she was watching much more closely where she was walking.
Notaro made her think of Israfel, which turned her mood a bit more sour. She was worried about him, despite his confrontation with the group in Iron Mountain. It wasn't something she'd really want to talk about with the others, however. He had looked weak when Julian had bit him. Although he had said he avoided a lethal dose, she wasn't really sure that she wanted to know what sort of effect the poison would have on him. Hopefully he'd have enough time to rest before he was ordered into something else by Notaro, she mused, knowing that really wasn't the attitude she should have for someone that was clearly on the other side of the group's efforts.

It took her a moment of indecision, before she unwrapped the item, pocketing it, before returning the cloth that it had been wrapped in back into her bag. She still had to decide whether or not she should use it, she realized, continuing on down the path through the Zone.

Her decision was thankfully delayed for a moment, as she noticed a figure shadowed in the bushes up ahead. Obviously a Pokemon, Chloe watched it for a moment, trying to discern the shape.
But no luck, she realized after a moment. What she had thought was perhaps a Nidoran was in fact a Paras, shuffling slightly through the bushes.
Chloe sighed, ah well. She still had plenty of time to explore the Safari Zone. Hopefully she'd run into one of the Pokemon she was after.

Leaving the Paras alone, Chloe made her way even farther into the Pokemon preserve. Thankfully it was a fairly nice day. It would be a pain to go through this area in the rain, she realized. She could deal with a little dust. Mud was a bit harder to move through.
She came up to a hill, climbing it and making her way to the top. Gathering her bearings, she headed a bit farther north, alongside a small pond. She saw evidence of a few Dratini that lived there, smiling as she saw one slip under the surface of the water. But she already had Cael. She wasn't too interested in catching another Dratini at the moment.
"Maybe once I get my own place I can do that," she smiled.

Although she knew Daimon would probably love to get to talk with the Dratini, she mused, missing the Kingdra. He'd probably have the whole group of them off on some adventure, she smiled to herself, unable to quell the laugh at the thought. Daimon, while a bit reserved, was a great leader. He was knowledgeable about pretty much anything that had to do with water.
"Maybe one day we can go visit the sea for a long time," she murmured to herself. She was sure Dai would love that.

This time, as Chloe spotted a figure in the bushes, she recognized it to be a Pinsir. While a pretty cool looking Pokemon, she had to admit, she wasn't really interested in catching one of these either.
"Hm, perhaps if I see a Scyther I'll try to catch it, otherwise, I'm going to stick to my original mental list," she smiled, taking the roundabout approach, steering clear of the large bug type.

Chloe soon spotted another Heart Scale, this one stuck to one of the leaves of the bushes that she was heading through. She always wondered exactly what was the source of these strange scales, but she wasn't complaining about finding them. They seemed to hold some mysterious power, perhaps it was from a legendary.
Chloe mused on that fact for a while, imagining a giant incandescent dragon gliding through the sky. Now THAT would be a Pokemon she would give her life to meet, she smiled, tucking the scale away into her bag with the few others that she had collected over her travels.

Scale safely tucked away, Chloe spotted another signpost directing visitors to various spots around the park. She considered the sign for a moment, trying to decide on where exactly it was that she should try to catch the Pokemon that she was after.
"While the lakes sound amazing, I think Nidoran and the like would be more likely to be around the plains area?" Chloe questioned herself for a moment, contemplating her path.
