The palomino mare yawned, shaking her head to shake her mane about as she stood. It had been such a peaceful night.. She had slept well, and hadnt given any thought of it being a bad night..
It was as if the moon had lulled her to sleep.
Well whatever it was, the sun was shining against her back, letting its warmth soak into her golden hued body.
As she stood, her thoughts went to her children. Were they watching this sunrise? Were they just waking up to the warm rays?
She needed to find them again..Even Marahute had left her valley and dissappeared. The mare found it incredibly horrifying, but she tried to remain strong.
Time sure flies..

Tai was yawning for a completely different reason then his absent and much beloved mate was.... he was beyond exhausted with no sign of catching some needed Z's any time soon. Killian was, as usual out to grab life by the horns... and as his responsible and caring uncle, Tai had volunteered to accompany the young stallion on his latest endeavor to find the source of the small creek that wound it's way through the Islagiatt territory.
Naturally, many had explained to Killian that the water came from the Great Spirits up in the mountains... and TJ had even tried explaining something about that One God of his making the sun melt water up in the mountains where the snow was too deep and the temperature was too cold for any soquili to venture and verify and then forcing it to run downhill...
Needless to say, Killian would not rest until he found out for HIMSELF where the water came from.. so here they were..
Trudging uphill...
With Killian trotting purposefully ahead.. his head high.... tail flagged... handsome.. young...
And full of way too much energy.

Esperanza gave a great yawn as she lowered her head at the stream. She had taken up residence by this stream..The grass was thick and tall, and she couldn't help but smile and be happy when allthe life here was..
Small fish were swimming through the tiny current, and even some frogs were bustling about, busying themselves.
She watched them with interest, and just seemed to gaze straight on.

Killian, for his part, was thrilled to have Tai with him.
Though he loved his other uncles dearly, and could learn from any of them, none shared his enthusiasm for things like the brown and gold stallion. They had always been kindred spirits, and despite the fact that Tai was about 10 years his senior, Killian felt that they really could be the best of friends.
Which led to an altogether uncomfortable thought when his rapid thoughts whirled to his current best friend.. the mare Bonfire.
Shaking his head when he thought of the last dark moon, when he had awoken to find her shivering against him in the dark, the brightly marked youngster picked up the pace, missing the deep sigh of his companion in the sudden need to change the way his mind was turning.
As for Tai, he was wondering if Killian EVER grew tired... and eventually came to the conclusion that the young just kept on going until they fell down, so it was up to him, the eldest and hopefully most responsible... to call a halt.
Naturally, he was too tired to notice the beloved palomino shape in the grass, and Killian was too preoccupied with his own thoughts to point her out as he was abruptly called to a halt but a scant few yards from her.

Esperanza quickly raised her head at the sound of incoming hooves, and she stayed down much like a deer, until she was forced to stand and she was given quite the fright.
A younger stallion, was stopped a few feet in front of her, and she cocked her head.
"Be wary young one..You wouldnt want to hurt anyone, now would you?"
She asked, a soft smile on her lips.
But then her eyes lay on the chocolate stallion who approached from beghind the other.
His golden mane glistening in the sun, and she whinnied loudly, rushing to him.
"Tai!"
