Scyeth rolled down the hallway, the first time he'd ridden his skateboard since he'd been home, so to speak, heading for the entrance of the school. The Headmaster had asked him to show around a new student today. In fact, it happened a little randomly, now that the thought about it. He was walking back from one of his classes, to study with RuiZhi, actually, and he had run into the Headmaster...quite literally. The man seemed to be in quite a hurry and just asked Scyeth -totally out of the blue- to come and introduce the new student that would be arriving tomorrow.
Scyeth supposed this was his was of not getting him in trouble for being in dorms he wasn't supposed to be in yet, so he didn't argue. Besides, who knew? The new kid could be a great friend...or a great rival. Both were equally good. The blond parked himself near the doors and leaned against a wall, board still under one foot. The new guy had better be able to keep up, he thought with a keen smile.
Yes, this could be fun indeed.

The young boy kept his hands comfortably in his jean pockets, walking casually along the pathway. It was obvious in the way he was eying everything in sight that he was quite impressed with this new school of his--even if he still resented the actual people who had sent him there. A frown appeared in Al's forehead as he tried to remember where exactly was the place they had told him to go to for the little tour.
He actually saw no need for this tour. This was precious time he could have used in his room-- finishing that personal project of his with that old car engine. He mumbled something under his breath as he continued walking, not noticing that he was already approaching his destination. It was only after a few minutes that he noticed that he was already close by.
Al straightened his back, still a little annoyed at this formality of the school but--he just had to tough it out. He put on his signature smile and approached the location, not really knowing what was waiting for him.

Al should not have been concerned with what was waiting for him, but rather, who. The blond only took a moment to notice the brunette slowly meandering his way around and could only assume this was the new boy the Headmaster spoke of. There weren't a lot of boys, after all, so it wasn't hard to notice a new face. Scyeth stepped on his board and pushed off, slowly rolling over to the stranger. He circled the youth once before coming to a halt.
"Hey," he said slowly, giving the boy a clear once-over. He wasn't shy...at all. He offered his hand. "I'm Scyeth. You must be the new guy," he said, as though it wasn't completely obvious. He stood there for a moment before realizing the kid probably wondered what the hell he was doing. He touched his blond bangs and adjusted his hat. "I'm supposed to show you around, I guess?" He shrugged. It wasn't exactly his idea of a good time either. "S'there something you, like, actually care enough to go n' see?"

A light-haired boy caught the attention of his warm brown eyes as he walked. The other boy then circled him as he rode his skateboard, this made Al arch his brow for a little while before relaxing his face at the greeting of the blond.
He took the hand and shook it for a brief second before letting go, he gave the boy named Scyeth a small smile. "Yes I am. I am Alexander Wainwright. Just call me Al." He examined this boys appearance--definitely not what he had expected of the people in the school.. this would be an interesting experience for sure and he was quite amused by that thought.
"I'm actually lost on where anything is here. Perhaps you could show me where I can get some food?" he resisted the urge to ask where he could find a scrap metal field with spare parts-- he'd reserve that for later. "So, lead the way?" a smile tugged on his lips as he said this.

Scyeth nodded. "Al you are," he agreed. Boy, the Shinkami School of Savoirs attracted a lot of Alexes, huh? That was kind of odd. But it was probably a popular name...nickname, whatever. "Food, huh?" Scyeth raised his eyebrows, shifting his weight and pushing off slowly, rolling down the hall at a gentle pace. It wouldn't do to loose his little...whatever you called him this early in the tour.
"I'll show you the mall, I guess." In Scyeth's personal opinion, junk food was really the best kind to have. He waved his head and started towards the center of the island. He rolled in silence for a bit, pointing out a large building as they went on by. "That's the magic research lab," he said with a shrug. "I'm going to be a science student, so I don't know too much about it. What about you? Magic or science?"

"Science. Definitely." he said this with a smug smile on his face and his heavy accent. He exactly knew what he was going to do in this school. Other basic subjects may prove to be of a bore to him but if he just finished those, he move to the more 'interesting' subjects. "I look forward to the classes. Are there a lot of science students?" he asked as he strolled beside the boy as he rolled, Al stayed behind the other so that he could follow.
His focus shifted to the contraption Scyeth was on, it was something that had always intrigued Al. He rubbed his chin thoughtfully while following the blond while glancing around the new environment.

"Science? Awesome," Scyeth approved, nodding. At least they had something in common. If the conversation fell flat during the lame little tour, he could always fall back on that to kick some life back into it. Silence was terrible. "Oh, uh. Well, there's me. My boyfriend, RuiZhi." It was getting easier and easier to say without having to think about. "Uh, I think More's going into science, but I'm not sure, and I think Nat the Brat is going into science too. Not sure about him, either, but it doesn't matter. Not worth your time," Scyeth assured him.
He gave a lazy push and his skateboard rolled forward again, turning slightly as the blond shifted his weight to and fro. He pointed to a large building in the distance. "That's the mall," he said as they approached. "I like the food there. You want to go up closer?" he asked, giving another lazy push. "Or is there other stuff you wanna see?"

Boyfriend? That word caught the young man off guard as his expression turned into a surprised one. But he immediately recovered his poise and wore a charming smile. Al had no idea who the people Scyeth were talking about but it was fun to know other science students, at least by their names. He took a mental note of the people he had mentioned.
"Ah.. that's nice. I look forward to meeting them as well" he gave a slight nod of the head. "The mall? Sure, why not?" he then added, "I don't know about you, but I want to grab a bite to eat." the brunette wasn't really hungry as he said and actually disliked junk food, but this was a chance to know more about the blond and this whole school. This guy seemed friendly enough to him. He hoped he could run into some other students on the way as well.

Scyeth noticed the slight shock, but said nothing. If Al wasn't going to make a problem of it, neither was Scyeth. Given, the blond was known for his love of causing strife, but not where RuiZhi was concerned. He could find something else to pick on, if he wanted. "Uh, yeah, they're cool." Now that he thought about it, all those kids he just listed, himself included, were all a little...off, in their own way. Al was going to have to have to some serious tolerance to survive.
"Alright, to the mall," Scyeth said, grin turning a little bit devious. Hmm. How tolerant was Sir Al, anyways? He gave a good push, rolling forward much faster than he had before. "Keep up, now," Scyeth crooned, "there's a lot to look at and I do have a life to get back to, eventually."

''You're not the only one who has other things to do'' he gave Scyeth a lopsided smile before looking away and glancing to the building to his left. He did not notice the boy go faster on his skateboard and the distance between them grew much longer. It did not matter anyway, he wouldn't run just to catch up it didn't matter if the blond disappeared. Well.... it did matter a little, since Al was genuinely interested on what other things Scyeth could tell him.
He quickened his pace but did not run, he walked briskly as the other rolled to the building nearby.

Scyeth frowned when Al didn't so much as make a comment. Jeez. Tough cookie, huh? Well, it was all part of the game. It wouldn't be any fun if they all gave in, anyways. But he wasn't so bad. He was...interesting. Yes, that was an appropriate word for the student. Scyeth skated to the entrance of the mall and picked up his board before heading inside, assuming Al was still with him. Dangerous assumption, but this was Scyeth.
He wasted no time getting to the food court. Only then did he look around for Al. "Now what?

Al had lost the bright haired youth for already a few minutes and this would not have bothered him the least if he knew where exactly he was, and the way back to the dorms. He sighed aloud, venting the little annoyance he had inside. The mall did look inviting though, maybe there were shops that could be of use to him, or maybe books. His mind ran through the possible options and possibilities as he walked, now at a steadier pace. Finally he reached the mall entrance and a loud noise welcomed him---- and this made him knit his brows for a second.
He spotted Scyeth from afar and he was tempted to go near the boy to continue the tour, but a part of him wanted to explore this place on his own. "Hm." he scoffed, bringing his hand to his face to rub his dark brown hair.

Hmm. This Al was a tricky one, wasn't he? Scyeth could appreciate that. He rolled back over to the brunette, tipping his head to one side as he circled the new student. "Well?" he asked, puzzling a little. "Should we keep going? You've hardly seen anything," he pestered. He wouldn't blame the other youth for wanting to leave, but seriously, Scyeth did have some sort of 'responsibility', or something. "There's other stuff to see. Like the Science wing." Maybe he'd be interested in that, since he did say he wanted to be a Science student, too. "Or do you want to meet the other kids?" Seriously, pick something! Scyeth was at risk of getting bored too, you know!

"Sure, why not?" he said lazily as Scyeth approached him after they were separated for a few minutes. He actually did want to get a bite to eat this time, he did not really like the food he was seeing around him but he knew he had to get used to it eventually. "I'll go buy something to eat first, you?" he paused, glancing around "Uhhh.. what's good and quick here? I'd actually like to see the Science portion of the school, afterwards, if that's alright with you?" he gave a light smile, his eyes transfixed on the blond.
He was very interested on what the Science wing held, and what kind of technology they had here. Al really had no idea about this school, after all he did not really send his application to this school, hence the limited information he had.

Scyeth pointed at one of the vendors. "They're really fast," he said with a shrug. "And pretty good." That was when Scyeth spotted a gaggle of mall girls nearby, clustered around their table. Looking at them. A wide grin spread across the blond's face. Well, at least he had something to do while Al was eating, at any rate. He waved and rolled over to the flock, happy to chitchat and flirt harmlessly until Al appeared down. He bid his new friends farewell and pushed himself over to the other student.
"Girls think you're pretty cute, you know?" he purred, laughing to himself. He had no problem conveying the message, as he was no longer single, he no longer needed to feel threatened about petty things like that. "So." He folded his arms over his chest and turned for the door. "To the Science wing!" He gave a playful first pump and started off before shouting, "Hurry up, slow poke!"
