Oba had been with Anemone helping her take care of her foal. He treated Hephaestes as though the colt was his own. This was the first day he had ventured out a lone for a while. He was missing something.....no someone. He missed Harlequin's warm smile and almost child like giddiness which was a lot like him. Not that he was sad when he was with Anemone, but it was different.
Oba Fenyang began to search the places he knew Harlequin would frequent. He had something to tell her, it just could not wait any longer. Oba was quite sure he was in love with her and he must tell or he shall shout it to the heavens like a fool.
Nearing the place they first met Oba smiled in remembrance. The way she looked was breath taking, the lighting just perfect upon her coat. Oba shook his head blinded be the image, he was sure he would run into a tree if he didn't shake it off. Where was she anyways? She had to be close by, or was he just dreaming her scent into his nostrils.
Oba flicked his mane and preened a bit, not something he did much, but he felt it was appropriate. There was really only so much he could do though, his hair was far too long and tangled to do anything with, not that he would know what to do if anything with it. He simply picked off any grass and brambles he could find and chewed at a few spots at an attempt to untangle some spots. When he was finished he finally decided to call out.
"Harlequin?! You around?! Harlequin?!!!"

Harlequin was snoozing nearby, not something she normally did, but keeping up with her god-son Azzan had worn her out quite a bit. She was peaceful, it seemed as though nothing could wake her from her sleep, that is until her very own dream woke her up. "Liku, that's my sugar cube!" She yelled as she sat up instantly. She looked around herself and after a moment realized she had been dreaming. She gave a long sigh of relief before stumbling to her hooves.
She couldn't tell the words that came to her ears on the wind, but the voice sounded familiar. Curiously, she followed the sounds until she spied in the distance Oba. A grin spread across her face and she set off at a full gallop to greet him, it had been so long since she had seen him, and she missed him so. "Oba!" Quin called out. "I'm here!"

A relieved smile graced Oba's face, he wasn't sure where to look for her if not here. His eyes held her with an almost serious gaze, sifting through his black almost dread like hair.
"Harlequin!" Oba said with an unnamed emotion, an almost mix between excitement and apprehension. "I'm glad to see you again, I must confess though we haven't spent much time together, I've missed you dearly." It was hard for him to say, but easy at the same time.
"Will you walk with me?" Oba seemed half full of cation in his words. As though he might offend her in some way.

Quin's smile faded a bit as she herd the nervous tension in Oba's voice. Usually when she herd that tone something bad was about to happen or to be said, and the last thing she wanted was to have something bad ruin the feeling of joy she had right then. "Of course I'll walk with you." Quin nuzzled him and licked his cheek before looking him dead in the eye. "What's wrong?

Oba felt himself grow hot from her touch, he quickly looked away. He needed to say what he was going to say before he lost his nerve. Oba started walking looking at the ground rather then at Quin. Oh he wanted to dearly, to take in her beauty and girlish charm, but he was to nervous to look her in the eyes.
"Quin...I really like spending time with you....you...make me feel something no one has ever made me feel before....."
Oba glanced at her, but then looked at the ground once more.
"You and I have so much in common....you see....."
Oba stopped and scuffed the ground with his hoof. think Kniht
"You see I think I ....L....L.....LL....Lo....dang it....UOY EVOL I KNIHT I!!"
Oba finally blurted out lifting his gaze to stare at her.

Quin followed worriedly, sensing the tension and the nervousness in Oba's voice, tension that frightened her as she thought of all the awful things he may say associated with it. He stumbled across his words, as though they were too much or too hard to say, yet another bad sign. She walked with Oba, but back a few paces from him, and as he blurted out his backward sentence she paused. It took her a moment to flip the sentence in her mind and when she did a flood of happiness rushed through her. How could she have believed that his tone could have only been bad? She scolded herself mentally for thinking of such things. She stood there silently as Oba looked back at her, unable to speak for loss of words, unable to move for fear of fainting with joy. The only sign that she could give was the warm smile that spread across her face.
