Why does everyone love CSI? I'll go first:

They give us lives. I have been a homicide detective for 4 years now, and many shows show us as work addicted automotons. Not CSI. On CSI the characters have actual lives. Brass has issues with his daughter, Catherine with hers, and Warrick had his drug and gambling problems. THat is what is so great about the show: there is more than just people solving cases.

Why I love CSI...hmmmmmm....
I've been watchin since the beginning...even though I was really young when it started *my parents watched it!*...so I've watched the character's grow throughout the years...and I can really connect to some of the characters.

I tuned in a couple seasons into it and I haven't gone back to watch everything, but CSI is amazing. It motivated me to like science and pay attention to crime. I even want to take this forensic class at my school a couple years from now. 4laugh

I admit now that I arrived late to the show. How late? The first episode that I actually paid attention to (i.e watched of my own accord, instead of someone else watching it in the same room) was You Kill Me! But I watched that because it seemed funny, and true to my presumptions it made me laugh. As the repeat did the day after.

Then I became engrossed with the show as I made a point of watching the rest of the episodes (hey, I even saw Sara leave). The show gripped me because the storylines were so clever and well woven, and the characters had real depth to them - I actually welled up when Sara left because I felt so bad for Grissom, and I hadn't been watching that long at that point. Those three reasons, the shows intellect, writing and characters, have kept me enthralled. If you want proof, then let me tell you something. I am pretty tight with my money (I haven't got a job, so any money is savoured until I get another) but in the last few months I've brought seasons 3-7 completely, and am working on getting seasons 1 and 2!

I also blame the show for making me consider forensic psychology over educational psychology. Seems like it'd be an interesting job, even though the show has yet to feature a forensic psychologist.

Let's see:
- Grissom's whacky and messy but definitely not pointless experiments (that, left in the break room refrigerator, drive the others nuts)
- GSR
- I love the dynamics between all the characters
- all the characters themselves (well, minus Catherine maybe)
- Greg's antics
- Ecklie xd need i say more?
- Hodges blaugh same comment applies
- interesting forensics and scientific informations
- Grissom just bein Grissom
