Hello, everyone. My mom recently told me that as a part of my birthday present, I had a hair appointment for dye, style, cut...the whole nine yards. And that I could do whatever I wanted with it.

Problem being, I honestly don't know what I'd like to do. I want something that I could wear with lolita, but that isn't going to take a lot of effort in the mornings.

My hair is about shoulder-length now, and naturally wavy. It doesn't like to straighten out, and though it will curl, it likes to make messy curls, not nice ringlets.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you got any photos of yourself you could post? We might be able to help a little more!
Maybe getting bangs (is that what you guys call them? we call it a fringe) would look cute, but I could only determin that by seeing yourself! heart

Your hair looks a lot tamer than mine. ^^ I have naturally curly hair that defies every straightening technique I've ever tried and it goes all over the place if you're not careful with it. I feel like my hair's more frizz than curls. XD Although this is not very lolita-like sounding, how about braiding your hair in the back?

It may LOOK tame. It most certainly isn't. It doesn't like to do anything. And as for braiding...it's a bit shorter in the back, so it wouldn't work very well. And I'm actually looking for new cut/style suggestions, I have an appointment at the salon next friday for colour/cut/style, and I don't know what to do. >.<

How about a straight fringe and bob, then dye it a nice dark color? I think with your skin tone, either a very dark brown or a tinted black [a black that shows another color in sunlight] would be nice. Also, you have round cheeks and level eyebrows, which would be flattered by a bob, I think. It may take a bit of effort to make it look "right" every day, but it's such a length that it probably wouldn't look bad with a bit of wave to it, either.

Side bangs tend to look better on long faces, I think. Especially on wide foreheads, which you are lucky not to have [yeah, I have a complex about that... ._.; ].

I wish I could pull that cut off. crying I've tried that in the past, in dark brown/black, and it looked AWFUL on me.

I think bangs will look great. or just a side fringe. it will look great... as for hair colour, maybe some highlights will make it nicer...
a bob would look nice but i think shoulder length hair isn't such a bad idea... you could ask the stylist to straighten your hair and then tell them to perm it so you have cute ringlets... ((:
