Ok, so in A Wonderful Life, I just married Celia, and it turned to chapter 'Happy Birthday', but it is still Year 1. When does the year change?

They go by chapters, Not years..There is 2+ years in every chapter except the first one(The beginning). So its year 1 in that chapter
