Ethan decided to take fuzzy butt out for a walk. Kainda and the little monster were fighting and so Ethan decided as a gift to them both he'd take Adair out for a walk. Seeing Kainda play mom was a bit of a kick though. And the free place was awesome. Now it wasn't big or anything and Ethan was sleeping on the couch but that was fine with him. He slept in worse places.
Adair frowened deeply as he walked along. He didn't like fighting but he didn't want to take a stupid bath. He wasn't dirty. He was just fine, he took a bath last week and they were annoying when you had fur and wings.
"I don't get baths. Birds don't take baths, and nether do lions, and I'm part of both!" Adair complained.
"Have you ever smelled a lion or bird? They smell pretty nasty. Besides you aren't a bird or a lion, just got some bird and lion parts. You're a little boy and Kainda has a sesitive nose." Ethan used the horrible arguement of logic. He grinned down to Adair but he could see the boy was still pouting deeply. "And now you're out walking around. Maybe we'll meet one of your friends." Ethan suggested, trying to cheer him up.
Adair thought about it. It was highly likely. Everyone lived around the same place. If not he could meet new friends. That made him happier and, it could be noted, he was NOT in a bathtub right now, covered in water. Which was good.

"Daddy you have to sing on your cue! You have to," Vega stressed, standing beside his father with his fists on his hips. Stephan was hunched over one of the picnic tables in the garden, covering his head with an arm to prevent further objects from being lobbed at him. It was so frustrating to work with people like this, the toddler decided. Elisa would have gotten it right the first time, but Daddy was just so... Dumb. Surely there had to be someone better, less Icky at least, around for him to play with.

Ethan's ears twitched when the wind delivered the sound of talking to him. Grinning though he didn't reconize the voice he didn't need too. He took one of Adair's claws into his hands and moved forward twoards the voice. Ethan was always able to make friends, and he didn't doubt that change now.
As he approached the bench he grinned. Looked like a little, slightly boyish looking, girl was bothering her father. Well let's see if he couldn't distract her a bit.
"Hello!" he called out, waving his hand.
Adair let himself get pulled along but glanced up when Ethan called out. His ears twitched a bit as he saw a young girl. He smiled a bit and slipped free from Ethan's hand to walk up to her.
"Hi, I'm Adair. Who are you?"

Vega seemed to jump at the voice, not really expecting for anyone to see him at what he believed was his worst. He quickly fixed his hair and did a little dramatic bow. "I'm Vegas!" Stephan grumbled, "Vega." The toddler puffed out his cheeks, "Hush Icky." He glanced back to Adair, "I like your wingies. I don't have any."

Adair smiled and spread out his wings. "Thanks. I can fly." he said proudly. He hadn't exactly tried it yet but Ethan said with wings like that he should be able to fly. First chance he got he was going off the roof. That's how birds learned.
Ethan glanced down to 'Icky', and grined as he sat down, tail flicking a bit. "Hey Icky, I'm Ethan. Tough day?"

"Really?" Vega shrieked, reaching out to give his new friend a hug, "That's so cool. I can't fly. I can dance, an' I can sing, but I can't fly. I tried once," he frowned, "It didn't work." Stephan lifted his head up a bit, offering a weak smile, "Name's Stephan, and yeah, tough year more like it." Vega stuck his tongue out at his father upon hearing this, then quickly turned back to Adair, "Don't listen to him, he isn't a Pretty."

Adair tilted his head to the side and then instantly brightened. "You know Elisa!" he said happily, grinning at the girl. She sure was nice, and they both knew one of his friends. "I'm a Pretty." he said happily and then smiled over at Vegas. "And so are you." he added.
Ethan blinked when he saw the five year old flirt then looked over to Stephan. "Ah, ouch, those can be hard, but hey, every down has a up."

"Yes!" The toddler cried with a little clap, "Me an her had lots of fun. You know her too?" This boy kept getting better, maybe he would even sing, unlike no-fun-Icky-Daddy. "Yeah, it's just rough," Stephan sighed, "Especially with Remi gone." He hadn't exactly gotten back into the dating scene yet. "Daddy loved Gavin's Mommy," Vega explained in a hushed whisper, cupping his hands around his mouth, "But she ran away now."

Adair blinked. He had vauge memories of the other winged boy. Ethan didn't even know who Gavin was, so he just leaned over and patted his shoulder, lightly but friendly. "Ah, ouch. That's always hard."
"I know Elisa. I scared a cat away from her room." Adair said proudly.

Vega looked astonished. "You're really brave then," he said decidedly, "I don't like cats, or any of those things." It wasn't so much that he didn't like them, more that they didn't like him. The toddler had a problem with getting a bit overexcited and pulling on their ears and tails and subsequently, had been bitten a few times. "Eh, I should be over it by now," Stephan sighed, "But Vega isn't exactly helping." Vega seemed to shrink a bit at the comment, but quickly shrugged it off, taking hold of Adair's hand, "You should sing with me!"

Adair puffed up easily. He loved nothing more than a compliment. Even if it was followed by something that could be taken as an insult. Adair didn't but his tail twitched a bit as he glanced down. "I'm part lion." he mentioned and wondered if that meant they couldn't be friends.
"What would help?" Ethan asked, tilting his head to the side. he wouldn't do anything really but he liked to know.
"Sing? I dunno if I can sing. I'll try though." Adair promised.

"Well that's okay," Vega said after a moment of thought, "As long as you don't try an eat me. You try an eat me and I'll scream real loud." It seemed like a sensible compromise to him, and since he hadn't argued he looked to Stephan beaming for approval. Steps nodded, then looked back to Ethan, shrugging his shoudlers, "A good nights sleep probably, Vega pitches a fit if he isn't allowed to sleep in my room and then when he does he kicks me out of the bed." It was almost comical really, the amount that the toddler thrashed. "Anybody can sing," Vega chimed happily, the added in a whisper, "Except for Ickys, Ickys think they can sing but it's really bad."

Adair nodded easily at that compermise. he had no desire to 'eat' anyone. Besides, he liked meat but not his friends and he thought that Vegas would be a nice friend. He also thought about the singing 'facts' "Oh! Then I should be a good singer! Because I'm not an Icky at all."
Ethan was amused at the conversation and then glanced at Stephan. "Maybe a sleepover? Vega could sleep over at one of her friend's house and then you'd get a good night's sleep."

"Exactly!" Vega proclaimed, planting his hands on his hips again, "What music do you like though?" After all, sometimes he could be selfless, but if Adair picked something bad he would have to correct him. Steps glanced over at the two, straightening himself up to a sit, "Yeah that sounds like... Wait." He dropped his voice to a whisper, "Does he know Vega's a boy?" The thought had suddenly sparked in his mind at the mention of "her friends".

Adair blinked blankly at the mention of music. At his young age and with Kainda's less than traditional upbrining (and continual poor life) he had yet to really have music introduced into his life. At least enough to have...a like. So he gave his best answer. "Iunno, you chose." he said with a shrug.
Ethan spurted a bit at the news, glanced to Vega and then back to Sephen..."That is a boy?" he had enough grace to whisper at least, luckily the kids weren't paying attention.
