((I'd like it if two more people would join. I don't expect this to be a super long rp and we can figure out the posting order once more people join. Any species is fine by me, just make sure to post the image of the kimera.))It was mid morning on a day that the weather could get better or worse. The sky was mostly an overcast gray skies however there were some slants of sunlight shining through there ominous clouds. Regardless of this mixed weather a kimera was more focused on the ground below and not the skies above. The breeze blew chilly air to the south causing the vegetation to shift in the gust. A pair of brown eyes bursting with curiousity were fixed on a small group of bright blue daisies bending softly in the wind. A tan, white, and black splotched lutrapine cautiously lifted a white paw with golden yellow claws up to softly push the daisies towards her face. Pandora could not resist taking a whiff while admiring the strange new flowers. Sure she had briefly seen flowers in the lab, but none with this coloration and she certainly hadn't experienced this smell before. The breeze blew lightly once more ruffling her fur as she sighed in contentment. There was so much more she had not yet seen, not yet experienced. A sigh escaped her lips as she at long last cast her eyes to the skies above knowing the weather was going to change soon and no matter what happened this made her eyes brighten.

((Mind if I join? 8D )) Today was not a good day. At least, it had yet to prove itself otherwise. It was hard to find a warm place to bask in the sun where it only came in heavenly beams that constantly changed shape with the swirling clouds. The wind seemed to enjoy blowing right through the she-griffin's brown feathers and making her shiver. There was no where to go. Nothing to do. It was way to windy for flying; she had already tried and had been rewarded with a unpleasant bump on her hip that was bound to become a bruise. So instead, the vulture-like griffin sat in a tree, huddled as close to the trunk as possible in and attempt of blocking the wind. It wasn't working. Her bald head and neck were freezing, causing her to shiver.
So when she spotted the lutrapine below with her miserable teal eyes, she took pleasure in watching her; anything to keep the she-griffin's mind off of the weather. The griffin was entertained by how curious the wolf-like creature was. It was clear that the kimera was full grown, yet she seemed to have the facination of a child. Especially the way she took pleasure in that simple flower. The she-griffin grinned before calling down to the lutrapine, saying, "Lovely, isn't it? The pleasures of simplicity. Wish I still had that."

((Not at all. 8D Sorry this is so late, I meant to reply to it before I went to Italy. D:> ))
The lutrapine felt the wind blow once more and heard the voice causing her black ears to shift their focus. At first she moved her gaze down to the blue daisies, wondering if they were a strange new dragora instead. After blinking for a few moments and looking quizzically at them, it dawned on her that she was not in fact alone and should probably look where her ears were focused. Pandora quickly turned her head towards the trees and eventually up until they found the odd looking brown creature. Like the daisies, it was something she had never seen before. Dark brown fur and feathers with a long bare neck like a vulture and vibrant teal eyes. Pandora guessed she must have been a griffin, but certainly no species she had learned about in the lab. She stared in awe up at the new kimera, trying to take in every detail. After a few moments, she realized she probably should respond to the she-griffin.
"They are lovely. I've never seen that coloration before," the lutrapine said while glancing back at the blue daisies. "I've also never seen a kimera like you before either. Are you a griffin?" Pandora shrugged off the simplicity comment, it was all new and being out of the lab brought the child out of her.

Varsha watched as the strange kimera took a moment to find her, hidden up in her tree. Then she watched with interest as the unfamiliar kimera studied her. Varsha knew already that she wouldn't be recognized as a griffin. Again. In responce to the kimera's words, she fluffled her brown feathers, as if a bit insulted. But instead of snapping a rude comment at the stranger, Varsha bit her tounge. Instead, she answered in her most poliet tone. "Yep. Always have been." She paused as she, too, looked back at the strange looking kimera. "And what type of kimera are you?" Varsha cocked her head in a curious manner, her teal eyes inquisitive.

Pandora noticed how the vulture griff's body language contradicted her polite tone. A frown crossed her face as she had no intention of insulting the kimera before her. Dark ears flattened back momentarily as she spoke, "I didn't mean to offend you by guessing your species, I've just never seen a vulture griffin. They didn't show me any pictures that looked quite like you," she paused for a moment to come up with a good analogy and nodded her head towards the flowers, "You're just like these blue daisies, new and amazing."
Her eyes lit up when she was asked her species. The scientists had always told Pandora that she was special because she was possibly one of a kind. They weren't sure if lutrapines occurred naturally or if any competing labs were making them. "I happen to be a lutrapine," she said as he white bushy tail wagged back and forth happily.

At first, all Varsha could do was stare at the kimera with a blank, befuddled gaze. Then, her beak formed a wide smile, and finally, she brust out in laughter. "A-Amazing, huh?!" she asked between chuckles, "That's not a word that's ever been used to describe me before." She chuckled once more, before finally letting out a happy sigh and recollecting herself. "Well, thanks. I appreciate that. But I still think your flowers are prettier..."
She tilted her head in curiosity as the kimera announced her species. "A lutrapine, huh?" She tried the word out on her tounge, trying to imprint it into her mind. "Well, your the first lutrapine I've ever met." She paused as she thought about something the lutrapine had said before. Something about someone showing this lutrapines pictures of some sort. "Just out of curiosity," she said in a tentative tone, "who's 'they'?"

The lutrapine grinned at the idea of being the first lutrapine Varsha had ever met. She was still possibly one of a kind! Her eyes let their focus drift as she reminisced about the people in question before she calmly replied, "They refers to the scientists who raised me in the lab. They gave me food, took care of me, and taught me all sorts of things. Like uh, what other kimera look like and how humans act and stuff like that." Pandora paused for a moment as if searching her memory for anything else that might be of importance. "Oh and Maiara helped too with the learning. They were all so nice and informative..." she said while fading off as happy thoughts of the lab drifted through her mind, which soon darkened at the guilt she felt for leaving it all behind.

Varsha listened with perked ears and intense interest. She smiled at the lutrapines happy thoughts. Although she'd heard of cases where kimera were kept in human labs against there will, this did not sound like the case at all. It was clear that the lutrapine felt a deep bond with these humans... Wheather this bond had been a heathy one or not, Varsha couldn't be sure. "That sounds nice..." she said with a bittersweet smile. She tilted her head and, as if feeding on her guilt without meaning to, asked, "But, why did you leave?"

Pandora felt slightly brought away from the guilt when it seemed Varsha was truly interested in the subject. Other kimera hadn't really cared about her once they found out she wasn't going to be an easy meal or got bored with her curiousity. "It was nice. There were all sorts of wonderful things to learn about, and sometimes I had to find out what things did whether they wanted me to or not. Let's just say I got into quite a few messes that didn't please them. However they still really seemed to care..." she stopped for a moment to pick her words carefully. "But time continued and I learned more and more about the outside world that was just a forbidden door or window away. They started to tell me not to worry, that I could go outside soon. Soon turned to weeks, to months and the only thing that kept me there were the nice humans and Maiara, but that didn't last long."
"Finally I decided to leave, at least for a little while to get a sampling of what I'd learned about. Thankfully they left one of the windows open so I wouldn't have to waste time trying to unlock it. As I was going on my way a beautiful shiny jar caught my eyes. It had a symbol on it I didn't know, but that didn't matter because I wanted to see what was inside as a last bit of civilization before I left. I accidentally knocked over a few jars that made funny smells when they mixed together on the ground in the process of getting to the shiny jar." A smile spread across her face as her gaze floated away from the conversation to her memories of what was in the jar. "It was so beautiful and amazing. It glowed all sorts of colors and seemed to give off cold and heat even though it looked like nothing more than a dark black rock. I would have taken it if it wasn't so heavy, but I had to get up to the window and didn't need any extra weight. So obviously I made it out and have been exploring and experiencing ever since."

Varsha couldn't help but feel... confused. Not about the story, exactly. Just one part of it. Oh no, she found the story very interesting. Very warm-hearted and tender. For a moment Varsha had feared that the reason this lutrapine was on her own was because something bad had happened to her humans... Fortunately, that didn't seem to be the case and Varsha couldn't help but feel relieved, although she couldn't explain why. She smiled as she listened intently.
Then she thought about the part with the strange jar with the black rock. She didn't get it. She found it interesting, but didn't really understand the point of the rock being in the story. It didn't seem to fit to her. You could almost say it was random. She cocked her head as she gazed down at the lutrapine, her eyes filled with question. "Well you're certainly the adventursome type," Varsha said, complimenting the story, "But... what's with the rock? Was it special or something?"

The lutrapine watched the expression of the griffin change, trying to gauge her reaction while the question was asked. “I think it might have been important to the scientists. I vaguely remember them bringing it in with quite a bit of excitement. I was in the process of falling asleep when they were talking about ‘finally finding something that could be successful’, so I didn’t know what they were talking about until I saw the new shiny jar as I was leaving.” Pandora paused for a moment to think before continuing, “When I touched the rock to see if I could take it with me it was really heavy, but it made me feel very…energized all of a sudden. I know that doesn’t make a lot of sense, but I just felt like I could jump all the way up and out of the window without climbing over any of the other jars and test tubes. If course I didn’t so that because that was a silly thought defying physics so I took the tricky route away from the smells and from the pretty rock.” Her eyes seemed to drift off as she analyzed her story once more now that she was telling it.
”Now that I think about it, I remember hearing them yelling as I was walking away towards the wilderness. I originally thought it was because I’d gone off, but now I think they might have been mad about the stone or the mess I left. They said I had a ‘bad habit of sticking my nose where it didn’t belong’ leading me to getting in some trouble from time to time.” Pandora frowned a little thinking it wasn’t really her fault she was so curious. She was pretty sure they made her want to learn so much and to want to see everything she could. So what if she happened to make a few messes when she was learning, nobody seemed to get hurt…all that much.

Varsha shifted her weight from where she perked herself up in the tree. She listened intently to the lutrapine's description of the rock and how the humans acted around it. She found the entire thing to be very strange, but very interesting. She listened intently with perked ears.
Then she saw the lutrapine's expression and a worried frown spread across Varsha's face. "Is something wrong?" she asked.
((Hm... we may have to throw a twist in here somewhere... :/ What do you think? I could throw in one of my various, need-to-be-role played kimera, if you want. ))

((Sorry this took freaking forever. D: If you want to throw in someone that would be awesome. I have plenty need to be rped kimera but if you have a specific idea in mind that would be great. If you want we can have it rain, since the weather has the potential to be really sunny or really crappy.))
She shifted her gaze down to the pretty blue daisies, poking it lightly with one of her golden claws. "Well, its just that I think I might have done something bad by escaping. I didn't want to hurt them, I just wanted to see something outside of those white walls. That's understandable right?"
Pandora looked back up at the vulture griff in the trees before deciding maybe she had talked too much about herself. "I must seem a little rude, I didn't mean to ramble. Are you from a lab or have you always been in the wild?" She flicked her tail a few times before focusing her ears back up at Varsha

((Okay. I'll throw someone in in a coupld posts or two. And I say we should make it rain too. ^.^ ))
Varsha nodded her head in agreement with the lutrapine. Even though she'd never been locked up behind walls, didn't mean she didn't know what it was like to feel trapped. "It's perfectably understandable," she reassured, "You're not the only one who has quested for freedom."
Then her ears perked up at Pandora's question. She smiled a bit at her poliet words before saying, "Oh, don't worry. I don't think you're being rude at all. But if you wish to know, I've always lived in the wild. In fact, I'm really not at all familiar with humans..."

((Sounds good. :3))
Pandora felt slightly more at ease knowing that she wasn't alone in her wanting to just be free.
The lutrapine was quite excited to learn she was talking with a true wild kimera. It wasn't at all how she had feared, the griffin wasn't trying to harm her or look down on her as the humans had warned. Maybe that was one of their tactics to keep her from wanting to leave the lab. She smiled as she responded, "Really? I thought most kimera knew a lot about humans and interacted with them since there is the ongoing struggle of nature vs man." Pandora was once again back to being downright curious about the vulture griff. "Have you seen them before or interacted with them? They are quite interesting creatures when they aren't busy thinking about themselves."
The clouds above the two kimera seemed to be darkening rapidly. The thin slants of sunlight that had been illuminating the meadow were no more. It wouldn't be long before the rain started.
