It was a glorious spring day! The trees were singing, the birds were rustling... Tiggs came to a halt and shook his head, being alone for so long was doing weird things to him.
The truth was that it was a marvelous day, there were birds about larking through the tree branches overhead, and the sun was shining down on the usdia stallion's back warming it nicely while a slight breeze played with his mane. And despite being lonely, and B-O-R-E-D, life was good and beautiful. He picked up his march about the opening of the forest again, he'd been spending a lot of time there, and contemplated back on the last time he'd had any social interaction. As far as he could remember, it'd be Zofia.
"Oh," he sang to himself, "to be in the presence of such lively eyes again!" Liking the way that thought, and his little song, sounded he continued to build on it with various phrases about hide-and-seek and playing tag down a hill.
"Now," he stopped his song. "That would be the perfect addition to my already amazing day."

 Zofia had been quite enjoying the fine spring weather. It was a welcome change to slogging through snow drifts in winter, which was a very lonely season. Now with all the birds and newborn creatures of all shapes and sizes and flowers too, there were so many new things to see and smell and even taste. But still there were no new horses to meet, or even old ones to meet again.
She thought it odd to see so much life, and still no horses, though part could be her rather different perspective of the world, living it at half the height of most. The only horses she had seen were quite frightful beasts, a terrifying contrast against the colorful world of flowers. Which made her wonder where all the Usdias were, was her kind really that rare?
She stood up rather quickly from beside the bush she had been laying next to, lazily pulling the berries off of the lower branches which were untouched by taller creatures. She cantered steadily off over the low green hills that covered the landscape, before climbing to the tallest hill she could find and then she spotted him. The bright yellow Usdia she had met in the winter, but hadn't gotten to know very well due to a sudden blizzard* that had swooped in and ruined what might have been a pleasent day. 'Now what was his name again.' She thought to herself, remembering that they had at least gotten that far in their conversation. 'Tiggs.' She thought to herself, after a moment's thought.
"Hello Tiggs." She shouted out from her position high on the hill. ((*Yeah, well it is some reason for an RP to end suddenly. Sorry about the wait.))

A voice he vaguely recognized called out to him over his sing-songing and Tiggs stopped. Ears swiveling just before his head did towards the sound, he was very surprised to actually see Zofia standing on a hill above him. Well, at least she wasn't barreling into him from said hill. Smiling, he cantered towards her and nodded his head in hello as the gap between them closed a little.
"Lo there Zofia!" Looking up at the skies, he laughed. "It doesn't look like snow today," he said, poking fun at the shortness of their last meeting. "Care for some fun?"
To accentuate his point, he looked back at her and winked. Then off like a fire spark he was dancing circles about her.

Well of course I want some fun, what a silly question, she thought as he began to run around her. She flicked her long tail behind her, wondering exactly what game they were playing, or if it was just a dance she didn't know the steps to. "What are we playing?" She asked, as she turned around to follow him where ever he went.

The truth was, he ddn't know. It felt so good to be out and truly stretching his legs that he hadn't put thought into what he was doing when he starting off. Still moving, Tiggs looked back at Zofia and grinned. "I'm not sure," he called back to her truthfully. He knew she was simply following him because there was no rhyme or reason to where he was going, but still he slowed a little to allow her to move to his side.
It'd be easier to talk that way.
Pondering as he continued to move, it felt so good to feel his legs pumping, he barely managed to look about at what was around them. This part of the woods was new to him.
He came to a halt in a blur of yellow and smiled again. "We could always explore, instead of play a game."

Zofia stared at him, before staring back at the forest. 'That could be fun' she thought, she too had not been in that part of the forest, it could contain something interesting, or at the very least more berries to eat. "Of course, I've never been in that part of the forest before." She said trotting down the hill towards the forest. "I just hope we don't get lost." She said with a playful smile before speeding up to a lively canter, bounding over the large rocks and small mounds of grass that lay between them and the forest.

Tiggs watched Zofia get ahead of him in confusion for a second. Titlting his head at her, he moved to catch up and called as he did.
"Isn't getting lost part of the adventure?"
Of course, Tiggs had never run into anything truly scary before and had no idea the possibilities of bigger and scarier soquili lurking about. The fact that these things didn't occur to him, made him that much more willing to dive into the forest head-long and willy-nilly.
Twisting his path around trees and through shrubbery, Tiggs crouched down when he thought Zofia wasn't watching and waited patiently for her to notice the lack of him around.

"Well I suppose it is. I just hope we don't run into any pony eating skinwalkers, or anything evil like that." She said as she cantered into the forest, unaware he was not quite following her. "I mean getting eaten wouldn't be a very grand adventure." She added, her ears twitched back listening for a response. When she didn't hear it, she stopped, looking for any sign of him.
"I thought we weren't playing any games, and now you have gone and started playing hide and seek." She shouted into the forest, hopefully in the right direction. 'Well he couldn't have gotten ahead of me.' She thought, knowing she would have seen him if he had. She turned around, heading hopefully in the right direction, hoping to sneak up on him.

Tiggs had only heard the end of her reprimand of him and he had to admit that 'hide and seek' did sound like a lot of fun. With a laugh the yellow stallion lept from the bushes he'd hid himself behind, possibly a bit late; for as he did so, he realised very quickly that Zofia was no longer on the trail either.
"Well, I was going to let you win." He shouted as well. "But you've gone and dissapeared!" With a mock pout, he twirled around hoping to see his companion there.

Zofia had managed to loop around behind him, giggling quietly as he shouted in the wrong direction. "Well that isn't as much fun if you don't have to play for it to win." She said, with a grin as he twirled around. "Besides hide and seek isn't much fun with only two." She added.
"Now tag is much more fun." She said before bounding forward to bump her nose on his shoulder, before bursting into a run. "Tag!" She shouted back, before dodging around a tree and ended up out of sight.

Groaning as loudly as he could in a joking manner, Tiggs bounded after her with as much speed as he could muster. He easily caught up to her, but not enough to really tag her back. He did have to admit that it was enjoyable enough just trying. After several attempts to nudge Zofia with his own nose in retaliation, the golden stallion's multi-colored hair got into his face and temporarily blinded him. It had only really been a few strands, but it'd been enough to make Tiggs lose focus on the ground beneath him and before he knew it he was toppling over a fallen tree.
With a loud thud and a crunch, he'd managed to end on his back. With a few well timed blinks up at the canapy of leaves and light above him, he grinned. "What an impression..."

Zofia was already too far away to hear him groan, as she bounded easily between the trees. Each time he nearly caught up with her, she had nimbly dodged around a tree, giggling as she bounded forward. Running was what she did best, and loved the most, and she had seemingly boundless energy at times. Then she heard a crunch over her own hoofbeats, and turned around to see that he was no longer on her tail. Sliding to a halt, she turned around and trotted back down the path. As she rounded the corner of one tree, she then spotted four yellow legs sticking straight up in the air, his body partly blocked by the fallen tree.
She had to fight to keep a straight face, and to burst out laughing. She trotted quickly over to him, and peered over the fallen tree at him. "Are you alright?" She asked, fighting very hard to keep a straight face.

Right then and there, Tiggs started laughing. "Oh, spirits," he managed to choke out, "your face." And indeed, watching Zofia attempt not to laugh was even more humorous than all four of Tiggs' colored hooves hanging out in the air. Tucking his legs to his body, he managed to roll over onto his side and from there stand up. Shaking himself off of foliage and dirt, he flashed his companion what he hoped would be seen as a winning smile.
Twinkle and all.
And with that, he nudged the spotted mare on the nose. "Tag."

"What is wrong with my face?!" She asked in mock irritation, putting on her most annoyed face while flicking her tail back and forth behind her. She had almost come up with a decent retort, when he nudged her on the nose. "And I thought we were just going to explore." She said mostly to herself, but plenty loud enough for him to hear (I wasn't sure if he took off running after tagging her).

Shaking with laughter, Tiggs nearly tripped right over the same log. Instead he danced around it in hopes of Zofia not noticing that'd he'd almost made the mistake twice. With twinkling eyes he waited to see what Zofia would do, wanted to do. "There's nothing wrong with your face," he said inocently. "And whoever said we couldn't play and explore?"
With that he looked about at the trees and the canaopy above, hoping to see some kind of rare spotted cardinal... Or something along those lines. It wouldn't be proper exploring if he didn't have anything exciting to brag about when he got home.
