You've hoped and dreamed about it, and now here it is: The Western World's first EGL Magazine!!! Coming out this year, Cheshire is a zine' for everyone who loves and lives the life of the Elegant Gothic Lolita. I am now going to let you in on all of the info I know you are longing desperately to know: when its coming out, approximate cost, where it can be bought, what topics will it be covering, how you can get involved... I'm sure there are tons more questions too! Please feel free to pm me with them or post them here.

Originally titled as Tragic Tea (Some of you may remember hearing about it in the Lolita Society Guild), the mag has a new name and new face! It will be called Cheshire and the little skull n' bones angel kitty is adorable!!! The zine' will be sold at first online through cafepress.com. The only drawback to this is that you need a Credit Card or Check Card to purchase the magazine. However, if you do not have either of these cards and are still dying to get a copy of Cheshire, you can order the zine directly from me! There may be some extra shipping costs depending on where you live, but just pm me and we will sort it out. Also, to any company interested in selling the zine (like Gothic Garnet), bulk orders are available on cafepress.com.

I would like to have the magazine out by end of October/beginning of November. Thats my goal. In order to meet this goal, I will need help from you! I am looking for contributors. Whether you are a writer, photographer, designer, patternmaker, or would like to see your store (or fav store) advertised in Cheshire, let me know!

The following are a list of sections/topics available for covering. Please don't feel limited to just one choice. Let me know how you want to be involved and we will make it happen!!!

+ 2-4 Featured Articles (these will be assigned, but I will also accept submissions for features if you have some ideas! Features should be minimum 2-pg articles)

If you are looking to advertise in Cheshire, or know someone who might be looking to, here is the following list of costs for ad spots. A 1/3 pg ad will cost $2.50, 1/2 pg ad will cost $5.00, and a full page ad will cost $10.00. There are also some deals! A two page ad will be $15.00, equivilent to 1/2 pg free! A 3-pg spread will cost $20.00, which means you will get 1 whole page free! Post if you are interested in purchasing ad space. All purchases go toward distribution and future production of Cheshire. Looking to submit articles, ads, etc. to Cheshire? Come share your thoughts and ideas at our forum! The Cheshire Magazine forum was created so that I can get a better idea of who would like to be a part of the staff. If you are seriously interested in working on the magazine, please become a member of the forum and introduce yourself and what you'd like to do in the introductions section. To answer a few of the questions people have been having... Subscription prices are yet to be determined. They will be based upon the success of our first few issues. Needless to say if Cheshire is a success, subscription packages will be available! As for the price per issue, it has been quoted at $8.00 US. It could be a bit more or less, it will all depend on how much content we can fit into an issue... After 52 pages the binding has to change, and this will have an effect on costs.

P.S. Thanks for the info Skie 0. However, due to worries about copyright, being sued, etc., I'd really appreciate it if we could establish an ok with k-star.
