MAN I LOVE WATCHIN REGGIE BUSH PLAY....HE IS MA FAVORTIE RUNNIN BACK IN THE NFL.....BUT HONESTLY I THINK HE COULD BE A WHOLE LOT BETTER ONCE HE STOPS RUNNING EAST TO WEST AND LEARNS HOW TO HIT THA HOLES BETTER AND TAKE IT UP THE MIDDLE

The only place he takes it is up the butt.

Now that I got that out of the way, I don't think he has the tools to be a truly successful running back in the NFL. He will always need a Deuce McAllister by his side to be good, and a passing game alongside that. He is a talented young back and he needs to learn to put his shoulder down and stop being a p***y and running away from tacklers. If he learned to do that, Peterson would have some new competition.

He is a very talented and athletic running back. Yet he isn't quite the typical running back that can get it done. He tries to hit the home run play, each time he touches the ball. He needs to settle down and let the experience get to him. The flashiness is great and always a plus, but means nothing when you're unsuccessful at running the ball. Double check, but I believe that his longest play from scrimmage last season was only like 25 yards. Reggie Bush has the conditioning and skill to do what is needed for the Saints, and by studying film and learning from McAllister, he can evolve into the prime-time versatile half back, like Brain Westbrook, the best in the game.

yes i totally 100 percent agree that he needs to settle down and let the experience set in for a while....although i disagree that he will always need duece mcallister witch is a complete load of s**t cuz once he gets better he wont need deuce to be in tha backfeild with him...

Everyone is now suggesting that he should line up at some sort of receiver. Egg those ideas. Reggie Bush is best as a running back, and maybe a special teams return guy. Bush does not have good enough hands to be a wide receiver, and lacks the skill to run routes well (long strides, etc.). The closest that Reggie Bush will get to receiver are on screen passes, end-around runs, and third-down slots, but that's about it. There is a huge gap between receiver and running back, and it is a misconception that many think that any talented NFL athlete can make the transition. Reggie Bush will always be an extremely talented RB with a lot of potential, yet will need to settle into his position to see progression. And no, Duece McAllister is always a help to the Saints, but Bush does not need him at his side in order to thrive.

You can't deem a player a bust two seasons after he is drafted. He was a bit injured, and the entire Saints offensive unit blew up last season. Bush isn't a bust yet, he's still in the league, is doing fine, and is the face of the Saints along with Brees.

Well, he isn't a bust yet, but Mario Williams is proving to be the most worthy of the first pick so far. And I thought the Texans made a mistake...

Yup, Mario Williams is starting to really prove himself in the NFL. Within the next few years, he'll be one of the premier defensive lineman. Vince Young was a good pick by the Titans, yet they still need to give him a bit more help at wide receiver. Bush is not a bust, but isn't quite as valuable to his team, as Mario and Vince are, up to this point in their young careers.

First, I'd like to apologize for the "up the butt" statement. Gotta let my teenager show sometimes, can't hide it forever. As much as I don't like VY, he is pretty good, and with some reliable hands out there, he'll be really good.

I see Vince Young as an upgraded Micheal Vick. I think Young is gonna need to start passing more and stop running. Maybe watch some tapes of Steve Young. You know Steve's success came when he started to stay in the pocket more. Then again, Steve did have Rice... Lol.

Bush needs to learn to play running back. In 2 seasons, he has an average of 3.7 yards per carry. That's not good enough. That shows he moves laterally way too much. He's really only good in the passing game where he earns more yards. He's an open field type of guy. I don't think he'll become a player who can take it and run say a Dive play.

But eh... Who knows?

And go Alex Smith. If anyone can help him, it's Martz. Lol.
