What a lovely day! Bright sunlight, blue sky, a gentle breeze... tall grass all around and tall trees here and there for a bit of cool shade. It was perfect, but there was something about that perfection that just... got on Sorcha's nerves.
Its not like she didn't like things to be all happy and cheerful and bright... Sorcha was a huge fan of them, but when those things were the only things around, well then... it was kinda boring, wasn't it?
In an effort to break up this monotonous good-will everywhere, Sorcha had pawed away at the grass in a little bare patch, widening it till it was roughly as big as her body. With a happy squeal, she threw herself down in the dirt and began to roll, rubbing her tan-and-striped fur into the soil. Slender legs kicked and thrashed, throwing up clouds of dust that hung lazily in the air. The sounds of her laughter broke the serene quietness of the little meadow by her two-legger's teepee, the mess she was making pleaseing to no end. When she'd exhausted herself with her antics, the young mare flopped over on her side and sprawled like a foal, her sides heaving as she caught her breath.
