The fighting area is now much smaller than the previous arena type. 200 ft in radius, with a 100 ft in diameter platform in the center. The area between the platform and the high wall of the stands is 50 ft. There's something lying in this space other than usual sand and hard ground: water.

The water is no out of bounds, only the stands and beyond. However, the 6 ft thick platform is floating on top of water that is 30 ft deep, so the platform is bound to sway in balance whenever shifts of movement occur on its surface. Too much weight on one side can cause that side to become submerged in water for a few seconds before the balance resets itself.

Fifty feet away from the large wood platforms edge, a small detachable plank birdge connected each arenas enterance. In that dark enterance stood the silver plated ronin from the last match. Kuroha Zemashitama made his way through the dark corridor, and onto the small bridge. Unfortunately, there was not as much of a crowd as there had been last match, since this was the secondary bracket and all.

With his blade in hand, the samurai would walk onto the platform, feeling his weight ever so slightly shift the buoyancy of the floating wooden square. As soon as the crew in the enterance was sure he was safe, they would pull the bridge loose from the platform, and reel it in.

".....Hmm."

He looked around.

There really weren't many people here at all, what a pity. The announcer would very plainly announce...

"Ladies and Gentleman, Kuroha Zemashitama..."

A few claps here and there, followed by the chirp of a cricket was all that was needed for the samurai to c**k a brow. Now, it was time to wait...

No games, no show this time.

Matching the extrance of the Ronin was that of Slight. A creature of small and thin build, hunched over almost like a primate of some sort, walking on hands and feet across the drawbridge to the platform.

The creature, was most definately not human. The obvious money went for Demonic Orgins. Ash grey skin, huge red, pupilless eyes, sharp little talons and claws at the ends of his fingers and toes. As well as rows of the spines along the outside of his arm from wrist to shoulder, a 'crown' around his head, and a row going across chest and back from shoulder to shoulder, following the lines of where the clavical would be on a humanoid.

He wasn't armed. He carried no armor. There was no flash of aura or power. It was, merely, what it appeared to be. It's mouth, impossibly wide, from where the ears should have been, stretched open, showing a maw of sharp, tiny sawlike fangs.

A carnivores' grin.

The announcer would speak up:

"And in this corner... Slight."

The little creature remained near the edge of the platform as the bridge was drawn back behind it. As the edge of the platform dipped towards the water, letting some up towards him, he shied away, his eyes upon the liquid as though it were a more dangerous thing than the warrior.

"Hmm...."

Such a sound emitted from the Samurai's throat. This Slight character looked as if he were some sort of cross between a female silverback gorilla, an ugly bird, and a very odd looking man. No doubt was there power behind the image, but he couldn't help but think that there was something more. No matter...

"Fighters, keep it clean. go when you feel like it..."

This announcer was really some sort of jerk, so Kuroha just gave a slow scowling look as he spoke.

The samurai would bring his right hand up to the hilt of his blade, and quickly draw the Dragon Fang out of its blue scabbard. He'd then toss the scabbard up and around, and grab it by its opposite end. Go time...

Kuroha would bow, and start things up from here. He powerfully and swiftly walked forward towards the large foe, his eyes keeping an intent look upon them. Once he was within range, Kuroha would bring the scabbard around and up in his left hand, before circling his arm around his head, and slamming the scabbard horizontally across, even with that of the beasts head.

He wasn't really a large foe. In fact, most likely the Samurai had a hundred pounds on him and a foot taller. Most likely that is.

Regardless, the Demonic Creature watched with curious, vacant, dull eyes at the swordsman as he flicked his scabbard around and did his little dance. Knuckles on the ground, he stood still, watching with animalistic curiousity as he approached slowly.

The Creature inched away, towards the edge of the platform, wincing as the water touched his heels and the Samurai kept approaching with that strange scabbard.

When the man brought the sheathed blade up for his large swing, the creature raised his arms, both of them palms out, on the right side of his head like a child warding off a blow from a cruel parent. His toes dug in, locking onto the platform as he took the hard blow to his forearms with a thunderous crack, sending a tremor down his arms and body... but somehow the demon seemed to remain on his feet.

However, that little creature let out a very loud, very shrill, ear piercing, migrane inducing scream of pain from his mouth, the sound of torment, like a thousand babies crying out in a crowded restaurant.

Craaack!!!!

The ringing sound of the Ivory scabbard slamming into the demonic creatures forearms echoed like a flat board on a stone floor. But just as the screech began to emit from the creatures throat, something happened. Something.... fast.

Kuroha's right hand, which was still holding the unsheathed Dragon Fang, had quickly drawn outwards, and back in. It headed in a parallel course with that of the scabbards trip not more than a second before, just below the scabbards impact point. The uchigatana did not have enough range, force or speed to make a clean cleave through bone, but it would be enough to cut into the creatures arms, no doubt. That is if it were to hit of course. From then on, the ringing, headache inducing screech would go on, and constantly rack at the eardrums of the samurai.

The sword came in, and the Demon showed his own sign of speed and life. His body leaned forward, his hands came out, left making a grab towards the samurai's left forearm, the right coming under, making a grab towards the inbound samurai's right forearm.

Did this mean he was taking a hit?

Yup. On his left upper arm would be where he was aiming.

Was it gonna cut into him?

Yup, it was. And green blood would ooze out of the wound. The same Green Blood product that was oozing out of his fingers, coating his claws as he grabbed at the Samurai.

Was it Poisonous? Only if it was ingested or introduced through the body through a wound.

It actually landed. The strike actually landed. That was Kuroha's thoughts as all of this went on. However, when the beast's blood oozed in all of its green glory, something didn't feel right about it. Different colored blood was usually a sign of something unearthly, and so for all the samurai knew, it could be acidic or poisonous or something. No matter, he'd continue.

He felt the grasp of the creatures arms around his own, the talons slightly ripping into Kuroha's upper yukata, and the only thing he could do was spread his legs a bit farther apart and brace his body's weight to the ground as best as he could. However, he knew that one thing was still mobile right now, and that was his right wrist. With this in mind, Kuroha wasted no time in twisting his wrist towards the left, a ninety degree turn. This was an all but unavoidable injury for the creature, no doubt, as the blade would have literally "carved" out a chunk of his arm. A nice little gift to him before he had his way with the samurai...
