I dont actually have a favourite author cuz I haven't read a lot of books by the same author, but some really good books are:
`The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon
`Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
`The Door Within trilogy by Wayne Thomas Batson
`Safely Home by Randy Alcorn

Could you reccomend a book?Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow. His two bestest! There are some more in those series, but I'd start with those two.
