"Look at her!" Haya's gray eyes went wide as he watched his new daughter testing out her spindly filly legs. "She has your wings, Ayanna! When is she going to learn to fly? You can teach her that, right? I have no idea what to tell her!"
Ever since first seeing his children Haya had been barely able to contain himself. He was bursting with energy, excitement, and chatter. It seemed like so long ago that he first found out he was going to be a father and now that time had finally come. He looked around him at his foals and swelled with pride. They each had aspects of each parent. Some had either unicorn or flutter aspects from their mother and some had kalona ones... like him. He had been surprised to see some of the kalona traits that he himself didn't show appearing on his children but had not allowed himself to dwell upon it. They were just foals as he himself had been once... and he couldn't love them more!

Ayanna nickered softly, finally happy to see the foals she had so much 'trouble' pushing out some months ago, now breaking free of the baskets and taking to their spindley legs. The fluttercorn giggled softly at their attempts, and stood proudly beside Hayagriva.
Two girls and a colt, each having a feature from the both of them and some that weren't so familiar. They were all so lovely, and hers. She never thought she would be a mother, let alone, to three wonderful foals. She wasn't even phased by the kalona features they all seemed to have. She just sighed and leaned softly against Haya, softly nipping at his mane. "I will teach her when she's a bit older. Right now, lets keep them as more of a 'decorative item'."

"Yeah, decorative!" Haya was quick to agree. "They make good decorations. Very pretty. Good for flying, too! It's good that two of our kids will be able to fly... not that it's bad not to be able to." He shut his mouth, suddenly aware that he was babbling. He was still making vague attempts at keeping calm but the urge to leap around lie he was still a colt himself was getting close to overcoming him.
He grinned down at their one colt, Auberon. "He has my tail and Mom's flowers! Hey there, little guy! I'll teach you how to use that tail while your mom is giving your sisters flying lessons! How about that?" He wasn't even sure how much the foals could understand him right now but that wasn't going to stop him from talking to them.

Aya couldn't help but chuckle lightly at Haya's reaction to her words. It seemed to go out one ear and out the other, but she didn't mind, she was sure that the same thing will happen with the foals when they're older and want to go out and do their own thing.
She watched him as he interracted with the one wingless foal they had, she smiled at him and shook her head. He was so amusing, acting like a foal himself, "You know... I don't think I can handle raising four foals." She said to him, flicking her tail and moving over to help their daughter, Samsara, onto her back legs.
While his parents were watching, the striped colt was trying to get used to his new legs. He had fallen several times, each with a small snort of complain. After his fifth or sixth try, he finally took to his legs, now to try walking with them. Taking a few small steps, he waddled forward before stopping to look up at the stallion, which was his father. Moving closer, slowly, he finally came up and headbutted his father, unaware of the point on the top of his head.

"Four foals?" Haya blinked with confusion. "We only have three unless-Youch!" He instinctively jerked away from the pricking, only afterwards realizing it was his son's horn that had been the source of it. He laughed awkwardly to that and gave Auberon a friendly nudge with his tail.
"Whoa there, kid! That thing on your head between your eyes. Can you see it? You're supposed to heal with it, not skewer your dad!" He chuckled at that, smiling between his son as Ayanna.
Samsara, helped up by her mother, blinked at the world with wide gold eyes. She looked between her parents and misunderstanding clouded her features. Why were they so big? Standing right next to Ayanna, she craned her head back until it had reached it's limit and she was looking up dizzily. This position strained what little balance she had and she staggered backwards, only able to stop herself from falling by flaring out her wings around her.

Ayanna looked back to Haya when he questioned her about the four foals comment, but shook her head. She should have realized that he wouldn't get what she was implying. Hearing his cry of pain quickly shook that thought out of her head as her ears perked up. Seeing their little uni boy trying out his horn though, she smiled lightly before looking back to Samsara.
She smiled down to the filly when she craned her neck to look up to her. She carefully watched her when she stumbled back, but was happy to see her catch herself. With that, she brought her head down and nuzzled the foal softly, being careful of her own set of horns.
Auberon almost stumbled back from his father's reaction, looking up, almost as if saying 'What just happened?!' It quickly left him when he felt the nudge. Looking back, he noticed the odd shaped tail and tried nipping at it. Once again, he was distracted by something else, this time it was his own spaded tail as he tried circling around to inspect it, with no such luck.
When his father spoke to him, he stopped his 'chase' and turned around to look to him. He blinked when he mentioned a thing, tilting his head before going cross-eyed to look up at his forehead, only to see the tip of some gold thing.

Attention on Auberon and not Ayanna for the time being, Haya snorted with laughter at the colt's antics. Had he ever been as awkward as this? He supposed that Auberon would get used to his features eventually but until then they would be pretty interesting to a young foal fresh out of the basket.
"See?" he said once Auberon had discovered his horn. "You've got a nice horn there from your mom. She can tell you the best ways to use it, probably. All I can tell you is that it'd be good for sticking apples with! Apples and not your dad! Remember that!" He chuckled again, thoroughly engrossed with the young colt.
Ayanna was just as happy to have her mother's attention to herself. At the touch of her mother her wings folded to her back and a happy smile came to her face. "Momma has a pretty horn," she said half in response to her father's words but half entranced with the golden horn as it passed near her face. "I wish I had one like it..." She gave a sigh filled with youthful longing. She knew she had horns on the back of her head but also knew they couldn't be the same as the one her mother wore so gracefully.

Purple eyes remained crossed as they kept gazing at the pointed object in the middle of his forehead that his father had called a 'horn'. He tried shaking his head, just to see if it would fall off, he just managed to get himself a little dizzy instead. His eyes uncrossed when he was told about his horn and sticking things with them. With a tilt of his head, he replied. "App-pulls? What are they and why would I want to stick them?" He asked, giving him a skeptical look.
The white mare's own wings fluttered just softly before coming to a resting position. She nipped groomingly at the filly's mane. She smiled when Samsara had complimented her horn, tail giving a soft flick, but tilted her head when she had said she wished she wanted one as just like it. Smiling serenely, she brought her head down and nuzzled the top of Samsara's head. "My horn may be pretty, but your horns are unique and make you who you are my dear."

"Apples? Apples are great!" Haya licked his lips at the thought of the crunchy and sweet treats. He'd have to take Auberon to the apple grove that he frequented sometime. "They're round and delicious! Some are sweet and some are more sour. They can be red... yellow... green... except the green ones that are supposed to be red that aren't much good." He leaned his head down more and looked at Auberon with mock seriousness. "Don't eat the small green ones! They'll just make you pucker up!"
Samsara smiled a little at her mother's praise of her horns. Unique? That wasn't as good as her mother's pretty horn... but it was still something. Maybe hers would have some sort of special power. Maybe she'd find out about it some day. "Thank you, Mom. I don't have the horn but I have the wings!" She smiled brightly and fluttered them. "Will you teach me to fly?"

"Pucker up? What's that?" He asked, with yet another tilt of his head. His dad was full of things he didn't know of. Were all fathers like this, or was it just his? He also seemed a bit silly, but who knew... perhaps that would be fun when he was more used to his spindly legs.
"That's right, you do." Ayanna nickered softly at her daughter's announcement of her wings. "Of course I will, all in due time. Right now though, you have to learn how to use your legs more." She said softly, bringing her head down to groom at the fur between her filly's wings.
