So, I've got a topic I'd really like some opinions on: QUESTS.
Backstory: I started questing for the Nitemare Scarf several months ago. At the time, it cost around 5-6 million gold. No problem. It'll take a while, but no longer than my other quests. However, I'm considering giving it up. Inflation is rising so quickly that I no longer feel that the item is worth the price! Yesterday, the average selling price was over 8 million gold, and today TekTek tells me that it's 10 million.
I think the NM Scarf is worth 6 million gold. I do not think it is worth 8 million gold and it sure as heck isn't worth 10 million gold. I don't mind putting in the time for it, and I was expecting a bit of inflation, but this is crazy. It's not that great of an item.
But, I've never given up on a quest before. Plus, I joined while working on this quest, and as a May 2008 member, it would feel like I was scamming you all to cancel the quest now. sad
Spoons (like the GCD!): --Have you ever given up a quest? Why? --For what reasons would you theoretically cancel a quest?

I prefer to quest for smaller things... I like it when I can buy an item... :3 Currently I'm questing for 3 MC's and that's already a large quest for me...
I seriously do envy the perseverence & patience some people have! That's really a thing that was not given to me... >.<

I've never quested for a very expensive item but, I don't think you should give up. Eventually the price will go back down, or you will have enough.

I'm not one to officially quest anything so I can't answer the questions.
However, I can say with utter certainty as a staff member that quitting the quest would absolutely not be seen as "scamming" us. If you think the item isn't worth the price, you probably should cancel the quest. I for one am not willing to spend that much on a single item so I can sympathize with you there.
Hope it helped~

I normally wouldn't advise quitting a quest, but if you think that an item isn't even worth the price, then I would advise questing for something that is worth it. You'll be able to finish the quest eventually, but if you don't even think that it's worth it, then what is the point?
If there is another item that you want and is worth the price, then you could quest for that item. Or you could continue the quest for your scarf. Who knows, the price may go down.

I would not pay that.
I luckily had plenty of help getting my kiki and it was the quest I stated when I applied. Although if I was in your situation I would cancel it and change items I was questing for. I don't find that as scamming.
Some people have a change of feeling toward an item or just find something more in their price range. Or later you might sell and item to get a different one, it happens.
