when we had to blow on the games to get them to work? Or when it felt like an accomplishment to beat a game or when games had less cut scenes than today and it was mostly just playing?

No...cause I started with the ps...
BUT! I know where you're coming from. I've found myself missing the days of the snes and have pulled out my sp in place of psp to play good ol' Metroid Fusion. I miss the old games. Seriously, bring em back! They're cheaper to make and if out on handhelds they could reach a broader audiance of gamers.

oh yeah, i miss those days, my first console that was all mine was the snes but i started out on the nes but it was my parents so i couldn't play it to much, as a matter of fact i just dusted off my old snes to play super mario world, the inside of the cartridge was so dusty, lol, and i realized that i didn't really have a preference on if a game was good or not, i saw that i have some terrible snes games that i used to play all the time like shaq-fu and the adams family, i played good ones too like contra and mortal kombat and mario, i just felt i had to rant a little, carry on

For the most part I like new games more, guys. That being said, Majora's Mask is still my favorite game.

But I feel like with old games you could just pick up the controller or whatever and just play! Most of the games I have aren't that easy. Maybe that's why I play my handhelds more than my ps2 nowadays...

I'm starting to miss the good 'ole days where blue shells actually hit the people in front. Or when slingshot effect hit you like a slingshot, instead of a huge, brick wall. Interesting thing happened today. I went to see Speed Racer, which only made me more frustrated with Mario Kart Wii's online play, so I started playing Brawl. I was trying to get trophies when I noticed that Ike has a hard time againts bosses, so I played Fire Emblem and finally beat it on normal. Now I am content.

The good old days that when you die, you start all over. The days that you had to beat up your console just to make the game start. Those were the days

The good Ol' days where...Super Ghouls N' Ghosts was and still one of the hardest games ever.
And the good Ol' days of blowing the cartidage, hitting the reset button and then seeing still not working then busting out the rubbing alcohol and then it works.

And where you stand to waste $60 on generic, recycled crap that refuses to die. though that instance you speak of kinda happened to me when I accidently pressed the reset button on my super ps1 memory card and all of my files were erased for every single game ><
