I thought I'd make a thread about Torchwood (and Doctor Who) cast appearing in different shows.

Burn Gorman (Owen) is in a new movie called "The Oxford Murders" and it's quite a good movie. He has a small appearance as far as I can see, but he might end up being someone important.

He was also (before Torchwood) in a BBC version of Charles Dickens' Bleak House as the total slime-ball, Guppy. It was funny, I saw the first episode of Torchwood and said "What?! Oh my God, it's GUPPY!"

It's been revealed that Burn Gorman (Owen) will be taking a role in the latest West End production of Oliver. He will have the role of Bill Sykes. For those of you who have been following I'd Do Anything, Jodie won the role of Nancy so they will be boyfriend and girlfriend for the musical razz

John Barrowman also said on I'd Do Anything that he'd love to star alongside Jodie, so keep our fingers crossed wink

I've heard about this! By the time the tickets start selling public, i would start getting money/ema, so if i get the chance in time i may buy a ticket.

I wonder if there'll be a chance to get an autograph! xd sweatdrop

Usually you can go to the actors exit and they'll be there signing things. I got Ian Mckellen's at King Lear. Sometimes they don't go out there, but often they do. There's actually very few people who go there XD

Ok, I thought I should mention this (I've known for a while, just haven't posted) but the actress who plays The Doctor's Daughter Jenny (Georgia Moffett ... probably spelt wrong XD) is in the new "spinoff" of Spooks on BBC3, starts on August 10th apparantly.

Quote:
The series begins in 2013 (just after the 2012 Summer Olympics), when London and some of the south east has been evacuated in the wake of a nuclear attack during the games. The government has relocated to Manchester; Thames House has been decommissioned, and MI5 is forced to set up offices across the UK in an attempt to help Britain avoid new attacks. [6]

The team is led by experienced spook Hannah (Joanne Froggatt, Life On Mars) and consists of mathematician and problem solver Charlie (Liam Boyle, Drop Dead Gorgeous), ex-police officer Rachel (Ruta Gedmintas, The Tudors) and Jez (Heshima Thompson, Prime Suspect: The Final Act) a former criminal gone straight. The new office is rounded out by Vik (Christopher Simpson, Brick Lane), junior doctor Rob (Andrew Knott, The History Boys) and Kylie (Georgia Moffett, The Bill, Doctor Who), a psychology student who has just returned from her gap year.

Indira Varma who played Suzie is in the season premere of Bones tonight. I saw the previews and I was like "Oh my god...it's Suzie...and she's alive!!!" despite the fact that I knew the characters where completely unrelated. I don't regularly watch Bones but I'm watching this episode for sure. I'm such a nerd. whee

Ah, more news on this front! Eve Myles appeared in the first episode of the new show Merlin as an sorceress. The person who played Doctor Constantine in Doctor Who is in a recurring role, and Anthony Head also makes appearances. There's probably more to come, but that's all for now.

Julie Gardner also Exec. Produces.

There's a thread on this new show in the Off Topic forum.
