Bai Feng: Chinedu would begin the morning with a gentle prodding to his side. Bai Feng withdrew his paw and stood himself upright, watching the little lion cub rouse himself. Beside him yawned one of Lucia's young pups, Fakhir, the third oldest of the group.
"Come along now. There'll be no more sleeping in under my watch." Chinedu: Nedu yawned and blinked his violet eyes up at Xuco and started to streach out. "Whatsit Uncle Xuco?" He asks as he tries to put his paws over his eyes and go back to sleep. He was young and still liked his sleep. He knows its useless though and starts to get up despite not wanting to. He runs his body across the white cheetah's leg, purring. "What're we gonna learn today?" He questions blinking sleepily up at his uncle. He has yet to notice Fakhir.
Bai Feng: "Well we just need to start getting your legs in shape. So there's no more learning than how to run a little." He glanced down to the hyena pup by his paws. They had been born not too long ago, Lucia had gone into hiding for a while. She had wanted privacy in birthing and weaning her pups- so long as the troupe kept an eye on the area. It was the first time any of the pups would come out to meet the rest of the troupe, but Fakhir was growing eager to get out. "This little one will be joining you. He's new on his feet so try not to be too hard on him."
Chinedu: Nedu blinked at the little thing and approached it with interest. "What is it?" He questioned poking the young pup with his paw. It looked like a tiny version of Lucia. His ears shot up. "Uncle Xuco! Is tis one of mama's new babies?" He asked, his bright eyes shining. He flicked his tail and gave the pup a lick ontop of his head. "Hello there! I'm Nedu! We're gonna have lots of fun!"
Bai Feng: "Yes, this is Fakhir, one of Lucia's five puppies." The cheetah smiled faintly, "You'll have pups of your own age to play and train with..."
Fakhir: Fakhir flinched back and hid himself behind the cheetah's leg, his green eyes wide as he watched the lion approach. He'd never seen anyone outside of his siblings and mother before... the cheetah had taken some adjusting to but Bai Feng insisted on posing as a father figure while Lucia had been weary from child birth.
"...hi...."
Chinedu: Nedu's jaw dropped. FIVE? "There are FIVE?! That's awesome!" He grinned at Fkhir but he'd moved behind Xuco. "Whatcha so scared for?" He asked having forgotten how terrified he had been. "Your mom is my mom too!" He grinned at the little one. "Do you want to play a game? You're gonna have a lot of fun! I can teach you everything I know." He stated proudly.
Fakhir: "...you're...my brother?" The pup frowned a bit and glanced to either side of him. He'd not noticed the cub there...maybe he was bigger. Nedu did look different, but they all had different markings here and there. Maybe his body was just different.
"Play a game?" He slowly stood up, though his tail remained firmly tucked. "...like...what?"
Chinedu: "Yah I am! Right Xuco?" He glanced up at the adult with loopsided grin then looked down at the hyena. He paused to consider. Xuco said he wasn't too good on his feet. "We could chase bugs or tussle or..." He wanted to think of one that didn't require much effort. "Uhm... we could play hide and seek!"
Bai Feng: "That's right." The cheetah nodded a bit, "Why don't we just go for a walk right now? You two can talk and he can get used to his paws under him. You can play once we get our legs stretched out."
Fakhir: "Oh...okay..." The pup slowly wobbled himself out from under the cheetah and towards the cub. "...wh...what's your name again?"

Chinedu: Nedu nodded enthusiastically then started to walk off a bit, making sure to go slow for the puppy. "My name's Nedu!" He grinned, puffing out his chest proudly. He paused then looked up at the white cheetah. "Hey Xuco?"
Bai Feng: He looked down to the little cub once more, "What is it, little one?"
Chinedu: He stared at the white cheetah, determination behind his eyes. "I want to find man... and I want to learn from him too!" He looked head. "Just like you did! I bet I could even fight man and win!"
Bai Feng: The cheetah froze in step, his expression hardening. "Chinedu. Listen to what I say and remember it well." He dipped his head down, "Never...go looking for man. And most importantly -never- attack him. If one man dies at the claws of one of our kind... dozens of our kind die for it. He hunts in vengance, he hunts for pleasure, he hunts out of anger... Man is something to be avoided. The kind of man I served raised me in his home from birth."
Chinedu: The cub could only give Xuco a confussed look. "But what makes Man so powerful?" He questioned wondering if the white cheetah was afraid of them. "Not all Man can be evil, right? The Man you were with didn't kill you!"
Bai Feng: "Not all no...but there is no way for you to tell...they carry tools...sticks as sharp as a lion's fang, and another stick that shoots fire and thunder- it can kill a beast over a distance." He shook his head, "And they train other beasts to work for them...dogs, other cheetahs, even elephants. Promise me, boy....Keep your distance."
Chinedu: Nedu glared and swatted a stone with his paw. "Oh, Xcuo... Taban's not afraid of nothin'... I'm not afraid of their sharp sticks or their stupid thundersticks. Why should they make those animals work for them? Why do they think they're so smart?" He sighed and shook his fur loose and looked over at Fakhir.
"Do ya wana play?
Bai Feng: "Everyone is afraid of something. Even Taban. Even your father... courage, my boy, is not the lack of fear but how you respond to it. Sometimes it takes more courage to run from a fight than to enter it needlessly."
Fakhir: "Play?" Fakhir glanced over. "Play what?"

Chinedu: "Even you Uncle Xuco?" He asked then nodded. "Yes sir..." He said his attention slowly deterating from the coversation.
He grinned at the pup. "Well we can play uh... hide n' seek or tag! You can run, right?" He nosed the younger animal affectionately. "Cause if you can't, as your big brother, I'm gonna teach ya!"
Bai Feng: "Even me." He nodded, "Just keep sharp."
"...hm..." He rubbed the bottom of his chin a bit. "Well...how about we spar? That's fun, right? My brothers and I play that all the time."
Chinedu: The young cub wiggled his hindquaters in the air. "Sure! I tussle with dad sometimes!" He realized he'd probably have to be more gentle with the younger thing. He crouched down in the grass, digging the dirt lightly with his claws then pounced on the pup, trying to get to an ear to nibble on.
Fakhir: Fakhir crouched as well and wiggled his own back end, immitating Chinedu's stance. As the cub leapt out he jumped right back. Unfortunately the cub was much larger than him and he was thrown back. "Not the ear!" He grunted and began pushing at him with his paws. "No! Gettof!"
Chinedu: Nedu let out a pathetic attempt at a roar, more suiting to a kitten then a might lion and grinned at Fakhir. "Gotcha!" He pressed his muzzle down on the pup's stomach and blew air on it, resulting in a clumsy rasberry before he jumped off and crouched again. This time he'd let the pup try and get him.
Fakhir: "YAH!" Fakhir squirmed and rolled himself over onto his paws. "Ew...none of that..." He rubbed at his belly and sneered a bit. What kind of attack was that? It looked like they were squaring off again. He rolled his shoulders and charged right for Nedu, leaping through the air toward the cub.
Chinedu: Nedu pretended to judge the distance wrong and let himself get pounced. He swatted his paws at Fakhir, making sure to keep his claws in.
Nyack: Nyack rose an eyebrow as he walked up and sat by the white cheetah. "Lucia's pups are nursed already?" He questioned, watching his son with interested eyes. "I thought you were going to train him."
Fakhir: "Hey! I tackled you!" Fakhir grinned, looking down at his 'brother' with a faint smirk. "Haha!" he stepped back and tugged lightly on the cub's ears. "C'mon, let's do some more!"
Bai Feng: "They are." Bai Feng laughed. "A little young still...but this one's eager to be out already. I think him and Nedu will make magnificant training partners."
Chinedu: "Yah you did... but not for long!" He stood and shook Fakhir from his ear and grinned at the youngster. He bunted the pup with his head head bounded off ahead slightly, wiggling his tail and inviting him to chase him.
Nyack: "This is training?" He chuckled and shook his mane slightly. "That's good. I'm glad he has someone my own age. I don't think any of our tails could take much more abuse." He cocked his head slightly and smirked. "I even think you have a bald spot on yours."
Fakhir: "Oh yeah!" Fakhir rolled over to his belly and kicked at the cub as he ran by, not hard, just enough to push him away a bit. "I gotcha!"
Bai Feng: "Play is very important to younglings. Their legs are not yet strong enough to take on some of the courses we have." He flicked his own tail, "Indeed... I've been meaning to speak with you by the way." He looked over, "Taban wants you to take charge of teaching the youngsters strength. Who better than you, hmm?"

Chinedu: Nedu allowed himself to tumble and got back up, beconing the hyena to play further. "Catch me if you can!" He grinned bounding a few feet away.
Nyack: Nyack nodded standing proudly at the other male's side. His mane had started to fill out more, his eyes gaining a more serious tone. He was learning the ways of the taction much like his son. He felt himself as more then just a body guard now. "Yes... It would give me great pride to teach them such." He smiled at Xuco. "Can I ask you a personal question?"
Fakhir: "Oh that I can do!" Fakhir rolled back to his paws and loped after the cub. He was still clumsy on his paws, but even after tumbling around or tripping over something he'd get right back up and continue the chaise.
Bai Feng: "Taban has found it appropreate to give you the title of 'Elite Guard'." He smirked and turned his long elegant neck to watch the lion, "You and Lucia. Soon we'll have a full guard. History will remember us yet."
He looked back to the children and rolled an ear towards Nyack. "Yes?"
Chinedu: "C'mon! You gotta be quicker then that!" Nedu called, starting to purposely slow down. It was funny to see him trip over his far-to-big paws and he remembered what it was like. So he decided to let the pup get him once or twice. Just to be fair.
Nyack: Once again Nyack seems to gain an extreme amount of pride. "I'm glad to hear that. Thank you Xuco."
He pauses then looks over at the Cheetah before turning hi attention back to his son."Why don't you try to catch the wind... like Taban?"
Fakhir: "Yo...you're not going fast enough." Fakhir panted between laughs. It was a lot of fun, though not at all easy to keep on his paws going this fast. Eventually he sprang forward and bit down on the cub's tail, again not too hard, but enough to drag by it a bit.
Bai Feng: Bai Feng chuckled, "I... am an older cheetah. Not too old, mind, I'll prove that within a moment's notice...however." He looked back to the harness strapped onto him. "It...gets a bit heavy now and then."
Chinedu: Nedu came to a halt and grinned back at the pup. He tried to jerk his tail away then rolled over on to his side, batting at the other. "Hey! That's my tail!"
Nyack: Nyack studdied the harness. "Why don't you take it off? I'm sure I could snap one of those with my teeth."
Fakhir: Fakhir chuckled and released the cub's tail as his own wagged behind him the way one might wave a banner after a victory. "Haha. I caught you though! Your turn."
The hynea turned and started off, nearly tripping over his large paws as he went. He really couldn't go all that fast, but in his own mind he thought otherwise.
Bai Feng: "When the time is right, yes." He chuckled, "It's just a little tight...is all. They design these to be light."
