Hadi'fika was lounging about in the green grasses beneath a tree head resting upon her paws. Her long purple striped tail was curled around her forepaws and her purple eyes were shut. With each sound of movement that was made by anything, whether it was the rustling of grass or the gurgle of the river behind her, her ears would twitch. After drifting in an out of a state of half-sleeping the serval finally began to stir.
A yawn slid from the sleepy feline's maw as she shifted digging her paws into the ground, pushing herself up into a siting position. Flicking her tail she moved to stretch then let another yawn roll from her lips. Shaking herself she padded off to the river lowering her head to take a few sips.
Baako was not far from the female, body heaving from quick breaths and fur matted from with sweat. By his appearance, the male had been traveling a great distance, though he was not searching for a reason to stop. The male pushed on, determined expression on his face. Was he running from something? No one would know. As his green eyes caught site of flowing water, the male suddenly shifted his path.
As he pushed forward, Baako paid no mind to the female in his company. He did not greet her, or even apologise for shoving past so quickly. Leaning down to lap up some water, the male remained silent. His eyes were focused on the small ripples of the river, and he seemed to be in thought.

Being suddenly shoved to the side was not something that made Hadi happy, in fact it angered her. However when she turned to reprimand the creature that shoved her so carelessly aside she stopped as soon as she opened her mouth. Quickly she shut her mouth to prevent herself from looking stupid. A sly smirk began to spread across her lips. "Why hello there handsome." She purred. Stepping back from the river she sunk to her haunches waiting for him to finish drinking. She could tell that he desperately wanted water and she wouldn't stand in the way of that, however it wasn't to say that she wouldn't stand in the way of other things.
Had Baako been anything like his father in the aspect of women, the male would have wore a foolish grin and been absolutely taken back by the beauty of the dark colored serval before him. Unfortunately for Hadi, however, Baako was unlike his father in that respect. Jin would have been ashamed to see his son entirely dismiss a female of their kind. Because of the very solitary nature of servals, Jin knew how difficult it was to find a mate, let alone one you enjoyed the company of. If Baako never gave anyone a chance, he would be alone forever was something his father always told him. To Baako, this suited him just fine.
Ignoring the female's comment, Baako continued to lap at the water until his stomach was quenched and he felt satisfied. As he pulled back in order to leave, his green eyes scanned over the female quickly as though simply to check on what it was he would be missing. Still silent, the male almost gave a disaproving expression.
Hadi's brows knitted together in confusion mixed with annoyance when she was practically ignored by the male completely. This was a first for the female, never had a creature, male or female, ignored her. She would not stand for it. Just before he looked up and glanced in her direction the female had regained her composure and was smiling rather sweetly, perhaps too sweetly, at Baako. Opening her mouth to speak again she fell short once more. He had given her a disappointed expression. Her! How dare he! Her fur bristling she tried to remain calm, as best she could at least. "Tell me, why do you give me such a...disdainful look sir?" She questioned rather innocently with a slight tilt of her head.
Baako was prepared to leave. The female had not left any significant impression on him and soon he would forget her. He would continue to travel and only stop when his body forced him to. As he began to move farther away from the female and continue on, her voice suddenly caught his attention. Baako's ears twitched lightly in curiosity and his body, half turned away, suddenly faced her.
"Why do I give you such an expression?" The male repeated, his eyes almost emotionless and his smile offering an intimidating smirk. "How can it not be clear?" Baako asked, his voice dripping with absolute disrespect. "You do not think I have come across your kind before?" He spat, eyes narrowed and fur close to bristling, "You see a male of your kind and throw yourself at him, as though you have no respect for yourself. Pick yourself up, cat. Learn independence."
In truth, Baako was being very judgemental. He did not know the female, but guessed by her actions that she was like all the rest. It would be a great flaw of Baako's to place a personality to a face before getting to know them.

Despite her want to remain composed Hadi let herself snort. "Oh really? You think that by one look you know everything about me?" She questioned moving to stand and stepping towards him, purple eyes narrowed. "Do you really think that I would lower myself so low to throw myself at whatever male that happens to walk by?" On the questions rained and with each sentence that ended she stepped closer. "Do you really hold yourself so highly in regard that you think I would give you more than a few minutes of my time had you not been so rude?" She scoffed. Shaking her head she took one last step so a mere few feet separated the two. "Maybe if you took the time to speak with someone you wouldn't be so nasty and judgmental." She stated rather shrewdly rolling her eyes. "I would never be so rude to anyone like you have just been to me." Of course that was a lie, she was being a tad bit rude to the boy as she spoke.
Baako simply watched Hadi, his disapproving expression remaining still. He would have been quick to respond to her questions, but she kept coming closer, encouraging the male to focus on taking a few steps back. He had to admit that this female had nerve to stand up to the male before her. He knew that he was losing his cool and was being judgemental in his words, but couldn't really care much about the consequences. Baako had nothing to lose and showed that he knew this with his reckless behavior. Perhaps that had been why his father was so disaproving of him and why he caused so many disputes amongst his family and especially his brothers.
When she was finished, however, Baako simply released a chuckle and shook his head. "Surely by our conversation you would know that I do not hold myself in such regards. Someone of higher standing wouldn't waste their time on a creature like yourself." Baako's voice was cruel, but something about it seemed as though he pushed the argument on simply in an attempt to have some sort of interaction. If he truly didn't care, why didn't he simply walk off?
"Oh really now?" Hadi questioned arching a brow with a slightly satisfied look on her features. "So says you who didn't have the decency to at least respond when spoken to, even if it was only the words 'I don't really have time to talk' or something like that." She stated stepping closer, watching in amusement as he backed away with each step forward she took. "Instead you only gave me, who has never done a thing, good or bad, to you in your life, a disappointed look." She continued rambling getting caught up in what might prove to be quite the heated argument. "You don't even know me so there is no reason for you to be disappointed." She hissed her tone growing darker. Taking one last step forward she didn't move again, instead she simply watched, waiting for his response which would undoubtedly be crude, rude and simply disrespectful. Never before had she been so angry, annoyed or even upset. Why she was upset she was unsure, she couldn't explain it.
Baako, seeing that the female was not willing to back down, remained where he was and stood tall. He awaited as she continued to approach and while the male was increasingly uncomfortable with the closing distance, he was able to force back his tensed reactions and simply look down on her.
"I had no bussiness with you." He said, his voice having grown quieter. He could see that this female was heated and it seemed the more he attempted to break her down, the more she stood strong, willing to fight him back. Baako was unused to another so much like himself as far as being stubborn.
Narrowing his eyes onto her, the male waited for her next move. This same situation was so nostalgic. It reminded Baako of the various times in which he started heated arguments with his brothers until the two were red in the face. Occassionally Baako even swiped paws in their direction until both Jin and Sabira had to pull the kittens apart from one another.

Hadi rolled her eyes, this male was being much more difficult than he should have been. A simple apology was the only thing he needed to say, yet he hadn't said it, perhaps he was actually refusing to say it. To anger her, build up her annoyance until she took a whack at him. If that was the case she wasn't going to let him win. No she would be the victorious one. She always had been and she'd be damned if she would let the punk change that. "Having business with me or no I tried to at least greet you and you rudely gave me a disappointed look." She pointed out huffily, almost like a child who had just had an argument with a sibling and was now in trouble with a parent. "I bet you wouldn't have given a second thought about your rudeness because you're judgmental, arrogant and downright unpleasant!" Now she wasn't sure about the last two but she was positive that he was at least judgmental.
As Hadi continued to point out how rude Baako had been, the male began to smirk. She seemed as though she was finally breaking. She was allowing him to manipulate her emotions and she was beginning to become truly upset over the matter. This time Baako was the one to step forward, pushing Hadi back and staring at her rather forcefully. "You are correct, cat. I wouldn't have give it a second thought."
And suddenly Baako began to turn away, his back facing the female as though he was finished with her. He had the final word and he was satisfied. There was nothing else keeping him there at this time. Except... Baako looked in Hadi's direction rather curiously. Living as a lone serval had been difficult solely for the reason that hunting alone produced very small meals. If he had company for a short journey, the two could kill something larger and both come out ahead.
With a smirk, the male chuckled, "I bet a weak little servaless like yourself couldn't even hunt to save her life.." The male watched the female, hoping for a response. "I will bet you an apology that you can't take down a zebra in my company."
Gritting her teeth together Hadi chased after him, only a few paces, not wanting him to have the last word. She had lost herself, giving into the emotion that had tried to drive her from the beginning. She wouldn't make the same mistake and he'd give her another chance whether he liked it or not. Unfortunately she wasn't able to get a word in because he spoke first proposing a bet. "I bet I could, in fact I know I could, I've taken on klipspringers on my own before, a zebra is only a little bigger." She replied holding her head high and sounding rather confident. She was in fact confident the only problem was that she didn't know how much bigger a zebra was compared to a klipspringer. Once this bet was done and over with she had a bet herself for him. One she was positive that he could not win.
((Ha ha! This should be incredibly fun if these two continued to place bets, always wanting to be the one who out smarted the other!))
Baako only shook his head when the female followed after. She had certainly bought into his deal rather quickly. While the male played it off as though it was only the bet that kept them together, Baako was glad to have company that was as clever as himself. Hadi had impressed him and he was curious as to whether or not she'd live up to her word.
Having never taken down a klipspringer himself, he was very interested in a large meal. Unfortunately for the two servals, the nearest herd of zebras was quite a distance away. While the two would dislike one another's company, it would be neccessary in order to complete the deal they had made.
Traveling forward, Baako left the conversation with, "I'd like to see that." And the two continued on, determined to see the outcome of the situation.
