Persona:
Cypress is an odd fellow really; he's fast as the wind but just as prone to losing his head to it. He loves all the stunning things in life. Because of his dull coloring he seeks out things of brightly tinted beauty to make him more content in life. Often he will steal anything that has a bright color or a shine to it and hide it away in his burrow at the far side of the warren. He spends long nights moving his collection about and digging around it trying to guess what the objects are really used for. His collection ranges from discarded bottle caps to the pride of his loot being a shiny plate the reflects light and has strange markings on the opposite side; which is of course just an old license plate panel fallen from the back of a bicycle.
Because of his odd habits Cypress doesn't always fit into the normal with the other rabbits, but he doesn't mind so much; most of his time is spent digging around for new treasures and risky ventures to the nearby farm to see if there is anything of interest to be found there he can whisk away.

Because of his treks out past the warren limits have put him in the line of danger in the past he has learned to sprint and bolt swiftly. More alarming still is that he can do so usually with his found prize clenched between his teeth if it is small enough. And if not he'll abandon it and return once the threat of danger has passed to retrieve it; not one to let a new trinket just be forgotten.

He's a friendly enough fellow, if one can keep his attention and that in itself is not the easiest task. His conversations are littered with pauses while he tries to think, not always the best at speaking with others; but he will entertain a game or cast a listening ear if someone has need of it.

He wants to venture past the warren and see what other treasures lie out in the world, but as he is still young he's not that bold yet; content instead to spend his days darting around in the high grasses and tending to his passing whims until he works up the courage beyond them or finds some deeper purpose than just wandering the Down.

Nothing too out of the ordinary in his past, he was born on the Down and grew up the same as many rabbits; third in a litter of four. He runs across his family from time to time but they've grown to think him a bit odd so for the most part he keeps to himself.
And more often then not he can be found sitting at the edge of the fields in careful study of the men there, a respectful interest in them that makes him at times a bit too bold among them.

As for the men themselves they figure he's only a stray rabbit, perhaps a lost pet; too wild to venture too close to but harmless for his curious nature. It fits him just fine, as he wants very little to do with them and simply has that deep desire to steal away the treasures they toss aside.
