Well a few people in the clan chat asked how to solo the blast furnaces and asked to make a video or something to show how to do it. So Here is the guide on how I solo the blast Furnaces.

Before I start, its best to be smithing lvl 60 to not pay the cost of using the furnace every 10 minutes. It also lets you use the anvils. Also Soloing the blast furnace takes a lot of time.

You need to have started "The Giant Dwarf" quest to use it.

There are a few ways to do the blast furnaces. One is the bank run. The second is buying ore on spot.

The first way is when you mine your own ore or buy it cheaper on GE and have it in bank. So you walk to bank and furnace back and forth. You can high alch them on the spot or sell them later on the GE. If you do it this way you can make good money but takes lots of time going to bank and back to furnace. What you carry with you this way is Money, 25 UNNOTED Mith or Iron ore(each trip), 50 or 25 NOTED coal(each trip), Nats(if high alch on spot), and Fire or Lava staff(again if high alch). Its also best not to use run when doing this, because you need the energy to run the belt.

The second way is when you buy the ore from the ore shop in the blast furnace. The downfall about this one is you have to switch words a lot. Takes 30 sec before you can enter a new world when you switch. The items in bring are Nats, Fire or lava staff, Money(enough to buy 25 mith ore and 50 coal), and also a hammer(can be picked up at spawn point).

1. First, if you doing it bank run way, you put the mith or iron ore on the belt and then go to trader sell 25 coal to him. Then you buy 25 put it on belt and repeat the step. If the second way, just buy the ore, skip the selling ore part.

2. Once you got all the ore on the belt, you then go over to pedals and pedal. Repair when needed. (If you don't have hammer, north part of room, pick it up now)

3. Pick up the spade and fuel the stove till it it turns the 2nd red color on top.
User Image

4. Drop the spade and then start pump the pipes and make sure your are view in a way to see where the pipes can brake and the bar dispenser. Repair the pipes when you see them brake. Also keep pumping the pipes till the bar dispenser gets filled. You will not get hurt, if you keep watching.

5. Once you see the melted medal pour out, STOP pumping. Walk over to the bucket on ground and pick it up. and Feel it with water.

6. Cool of the bars by using the bucket of water on the bar dispenser. Then drop the bucket. (and hammer if you doing bank runs)
User Image

7. Pick up your bars and then go to Anvils in north part of room.
User Image

8. Smith your 5 steel or Mith plates.

9. High alch them or deposit them in bank.

10. Then repeat the steps.

Thats all it takes to Solo it, easy?

I know you have to start a qwest to be able to get there... you should mention that too... unless you can go there by the carts if you haven't started it... idk, never tried it.

So yeah... this is very helpful! I just need to raise up smithing to make Mithril body plates!

^.^

Thanks

To try and provoke more current discussion?
There were times when this main forum moved so fast
it was hard to keep up with it.

Several main reasons I have "necro"

Even though I was first looking for these guides to help me out. It took me a very long time to find 'em. I didn't want to use fan sites or wiki's because I rarely trust 'em. I also feel that the members of this guild who took their time to create guides should have 'em placed somewhere for easy access.
I believe that treating these guides as regular threads is disrespectful; mostly great guides that took hours and well done. Also, I feel the owners can always up-date 'em with new stuff that have been released or obsolete. Their decision.

I bet you guys get new people joining this guild everyday and yet they don't see these guides; I bet none of 'em look past page two for any thread.

On a side note:

You could have pmed me or left a comment on my profile. Now we all have spammed this thread.
