Ezuzu hopped around the jungle until she found a nice tree to nest in for a while. She had gotten quite tired of exploring. It seemed like all the animals around here were caught up in their own mess and didn't really want to talk to her.
So she decided that sleeping was fine but when she got all comfortable she couldn't go to sleep so she watched the sky, it was early but she couldn't tell whether it was early day or late evening considering the fact she has only been up for about ten hours and has lost track a time. "Being in insomniac sucks sometimes..." But what could she do...she had to get used to it.
She had finally started to doze off...it felt good to get some sleep every once in a while.

It was nice, sometimes, to get off the dry and dusty plains of the savannah and come to somewhere cooler, and shady. Especially with a dark pelt like his, Farai was grateful this latest little "mission" from Xibalba had sent him to the jungles.
Still, though, it was proving difficult to find the group of lions he was supposed to be gathering information on. So he decided to just find a spot to rest for a while - glancing around and eventually flopping down below a tree.

Ezuzu noticed the lion on the verge of sleep and stood up on the tree branch "what is a lion like you doing in the jungle?" She said down to him and jumped off the branch, landing about four feet in front of him.
She sighed and turned around "I guess I have to find a more..quiet place to rest." She said to herself. It wasn't that she didn't want to stay in her nicely shaded tree it was that lions got snappy with her and she hated it, so why not just avoid conflict and leave on her own free will.

Farai jumped slightly though, when something spoke from above and then jumped down so close to him. A cheetah...? For that matter, what was she doing in the jungle? And up a tree, no less.
"I could ask you the same question," he replied, calling after her as she started to walk away. "Are you a leopard or a cheetah?"

Ezuzu started to walk away when she had asked and had got a good distance away. "I'm a cheetah..why do you ask? I had a nut mistake me for a lioness" She laughed and turned around and sat down, still not getting closer to him. He was untruth worthy until she though otherwise.
She smiled as he had looked quite shocked. She wondered why.

Farai blinked, and then kind of snorted. He wasn't as timid around females of other species - didn't see how anyone could have mistaken this one for a lioness, either.
"Cheetahs don't usually sleep up in trees from what I've seen," he answered. Then shrugged a bit. "To each their own, I guess."

Ezuzu laughed and looked up at the tree "I find it more comfortable...less bother me. Plus I like looking at the sky, when I wake up it's the first thing I see. The ground is so..hard. I could go on about why I sleep in trees." She got up and started to circle around him.
"What brings you to these parts? You don't look like a native here..." She said and stopped right beside him..

Farai's gaze followed her as she circled him, moving just a bit to keep her in sight. Even if she wasn't a lioness, she was still a female - and he didn't really trust her.
"It's not ... really any of your business," he answered after a moment, hesitating just slightly. What if she knew of the lions he was supposed to find, though? She might be able to help him. But secrecy was also important...

Ezuzu smiled "Then...it seems like you're very very busy! I will leave you to it then." She smiled and started to walk off once more. She didn't want to interrupt him of all things. "Need any help..just call. I'm Ezuzu." She didn't expect his name from him and didn't really care.
She knew her way around this place for the most part....but she was sure he did to.

"I ..." Well, crap. Now he wanted to ask, if she knew her way around here...
What would it hurt, just once... to get some help?
"Hey!" he called, bounding after her. "Have you heard of uhm... a group of lions around here who think they're demons? Or anything like that..."
(( ooc: Doesn't really matter if she has or not, I'm just using it as an excuse to keep them talking LOL ))

((XD Me is half asleep...writing whatever comes out >.> ))
She just kinda stares at him then sat down and ran over all the herds and lions she had seen. "What do you mean by think they are demons? Why would a lion think they are demons? I guess I'm saying I haven't heard of them. Why are you looking for them? off all things..they don't seem like a bunch I would want to bump into...."
((off to bed! heart I will reply when I wake up! Night Night~))

"I mean what I said... they're insane or something, don't ask me," Farai answered with a little toss of his mane.
"And it's not really any of your business why I want to find them," he half-snapped. Then reconsidered. She might help him look at least, if he made up a good reason. Cheetahs were faster runners than lions...
Maybe he could even recruit her or something and get himself free. Not likely, but it was a nice thought.
"Uhm. Actually... one of them ... took something of mine. And I'm trying to find them to get it back. So if you heard anything..."

Ezuzu smiled "Well...I'm always up for helping you look for them. A search alone for cats like these might be dangerous. I got nothing else better to do plus I like a challenge" She walked up closer to him "You re making it my business..what did they take? Someone of your group or family?" She was growing nosy bit she didn't care..she just wanted to see what this quest was all about.

Well now that was a problem. If she got too curious, he'd have to get rid of her. But for now... not too hard to keep up the story he'd started.
And it would be best if he made it something important...
"Well. I ... have this friend. A hare... I know, it's strange. But when I found her, I couldn't bring myself to eat her, so she stayed with me..." He'd seen lions with smaller animals going around after them before, so that wasn't too far-fetched, though he'd never done such a thing himself. Not that Ezuzu knew that.
"They took her... I'm afraid they mean to do something like sacrifice her to whatever cruel gods they worship," he said quietly, with a little shiver.

Ezuzu wanted to laugh at first, she had seen those lions too but usually it was like a one in every one hundred lions she saw and they were usually female. It was the pain in his voice that got her not to. "So...they just came up and took your little friend? Wow..I could get a hare without having to steal it from someone else that way" She said then stood up "How would you like it if I helped you...two is always better then one" She said with a cute smile.
