Alyna sighed as she walked away from that place she once called home. No, she wouldn't leave forever, of course not, but she wasn't planning on returning for a while. She had got in yet another argument with her mother...something about how she didn't approve of one of her friends just because he was half-Kalona, and Alyna couldn't take it. Not this time. So she was leaving. She broke into a run, heading off to her favorite place, a peaceful clearing, filled with flowers, trees, and even a small waterfall. Perhaps she could lose her frustrations in the smell of narcissus blooms and the sweet taste of river water.

Crisanto lay in the sunshine, enjoying the sweet aroma of the flowers that surrounded him. The sounds of falling water were a calming background to the excited chirps of the birds that kept flitting from tree to tree. He breathed in deeply, and then suddenly sneezed. Must have inhaled too much pollen. He shook his head a little to clear his head. He like how peaceful it was here, it was rare to find a place where you could be completely alone.

Alyna started, hearing a sneeze somewhere ahead of her. She slowed to a walk, wondering who had found this hideaway of hers. Stepping into the clearing, she spied the bright tan flutter. It was picturesque...his colors against the creamy white lilies and narcissus blossoms. She smiled, taking in all the beauty. She tried not to linger on his beautiful wings. She had never met a flutter before, although she knew that they existed. They looked so fragile...she couldn't believe that such delicate wings could propel a Soquili into the air. Perhaps, if she didn't frighten him off, he would fly for her.

Feeling thirsty, Crisanto picked himself up delicately, fluttering his wings a bit to help. He trotted over to the base of the waterfall and bent his head down slowly to take a nice cool drink. He was careful not to let his mane fall into the water, he couldn't risk his wings getting wet.
When he had his fill, he got a creepy feeling inside of him, like someone was watching. He perked his ears up to listen, and looked around carefully. Nothing.

Alyna watched, fascinated by his grace, his beauty. She wondered how he managed to always look so poised, so dignified. She snapped out of her reverie with a sigh. She shouldn't be spying on him like this. But...if she scared him, he might fly off without even saying a word to her. As she was pondering her options, she didn't realize that her footing was slipping ever so slightly, and she was sliding slowly towards a cluster of flowers hanging down from a tree branch. Her nose slid into the center of the cluster, she inhaled, and suddenly had the compulsion to sneeze. "Ah...ah..." She fought to hold it in, desperately trying not to give herself away.
"AH-CHOOO!!!"
But to no avail. Her sneeze rang out, loud and clear. There was no way that the handsome flutter wouldn't hear it.

Suddenly Crisanto's suspicions that he wasn't alone came blasting out of the woods in the form of a sneeze. "Gazuntite!" He said without thinking. Then he realized that he had no idea who he was dealing with... or what for that matter. What if it was a wolf? Or a bear?
His ears went back and he glared in the direction the sneeze came from. "Who's there?" He asked, feeling a bit frightened.

Alyna stepped forward meekly. "It's just me." Seeing his expression, she laughed softly. "Aren't you glad that I'm not a bear, or a Kalona?" She grinned at him, a bit shyly. "I'm nothing to be afraid of, a little thing like me."

Feeling a bit better at having found nothing hostile, Crisanto smiled back at the mare and righted his ears. His muscles visibly released their tension as he said, "Pardon me miss, I didn't mean to come off as someone hostile myself." He laughed at the thought, bu just because he knew he could never hurt a female didn't mean she knew.
"I am Crisanto." He said, bowing his head towards her. "And who do I have the pleasure of meeting?"

Alyna smiled back at him, stepping out into the light even more. "My name is Alyna. We are well met, Crisanto." She shook out her mane, trying to lose the few twigs caught in her curly tresses. Of course, a few twigs were to be expected from walking through the forest.
"What brings you out here? This is a rather secluded place, I'm surprised you found it." It was a rather long walk to get through the woods, however he could have flown here, so perhaps it wasn't such a big deal to him. Alyna wondered what it would be like if she could fly. Perhaps the world wouldn't seem such a big place if she could traverse it through the sky.
