Syipher made his way through the woods to Scarlets Teepee, Azzan in tow. He knew Scarlet would be happy, she so loved children, and the arrival of their 'son' would shurly bring joy to her face. Syipher so loved to see Scarlet smile.
shortly before he was to arrive at the teepee, he turned back to Azzan. "Please dont mention being lost to your mom, it'll make her fuss." He said softly.
Azzan simply giggled and nodded, excited to see who his mom was.
Syipher grinned and lead on, soon coming to where the teepee's of Scarlet's two leggers were. "Scarlet?" Syipher called out. "I have a surprise!"

"SYIPHER!" Scarlet pounced her love interest after she flew out of her tee pee. "I have news fir-BABY!" Scarlet bounded over to the foal and smiled brightly. "Why, hello there little one, where do you hale from, my love? My name's Scarlet, what's yours?" She backed off of the foal a little and flopped down on her hip. "Oh, I'm so sorry, Syipher, what's your news first?"

"Well, I know how much you've been wanting children and I've..." Syipher really did not want to say that he had been shooting blanks. He shook his head and smiled brightly at Azzan then at Scarlet. "Well, Scarlet, I'd like you to meet our..."
Azzan cut Syipher off by bounding over to scarlet and nuzzling her, giggling all the while. "Hi Mommy! I came out of my basket!" He backed up a few paces and then began to run around Scarlet, bombarding Syipher and Scarlet with a stream of questions that all seemed to run together into one. "Is this where we live, are there any other soquili, are there any two-leggers, where is the food, do I have any siblings, how big is this place, is this my room?" Azzan by now had made his way over to the teepee and had poked his head in.
Syipher walked slowly over to scarlet and sat down next to her, speaking softly so Azzan couldn't hear. "I've adopted him to be our son, since It seems I cant give you children of our own and Harleqquin kept loosing his basket, and I know how much you want to be a mom." Syipher nuzzled Scarlet, nipping affectionately at her mane. "Now, what was it you wanted to tell me?"

"BAYBEH," Scarlet screamed as she bounded over to Azzan. She answered all of his questions as he fired them, "yes, if you want to live here you can, there a none around here, but I know fo many I would LOVE you to meet, my two leggers are gathering food, the food will be here soon, you have no siblings yet, but they'll be here soon, no, you and I sleep outside in a very nice nest one of my two leggers made!" she turned to Syipher and repeated one of her answers, "You have no siblings yet, but tyhey'll be along soon. Oh, Syipher, you made me so happy!"

Syipher grinned and nodded as Scarlet answered all of Azzan's questions as best as she could. He smiled even bigger when she repeated her one question, he guessed to make an impression on Azzan.
And then Syipher realized what she said. His smile instantly droped, his mouth gaping in surprise. "What?!?!" Syipher's head made several quick, small movements as he looked from Scarlets belly, to her smiling face, back to her belly. And then, he asked the most stupid of questions simply because he had set the idea in his head of himself not being able to give kids. "How?"

Syipher... not in front of the k-i-d. But, if you ask me later I'll tell you." she smirked and laughed at herself. "I guess someone in the heavens loves us." She sighed and waddled carefully over to her mate and nuzzled him softly. "So... does this mean we're mates now, then?"

Syipher blushed a little at Scarlets reply. He knew how it had happened, just not how. They had been trying for so long and all of a sudden 'BAM', kids were on the way. He nodded, Scarlet must be right, someone in the heaves must love them to give such a blessing. No, such blessings; he couldn't forget about Azzan even though his own children were on the way.
"Um..." Syipher didnt really know what to say about the mate situation. He had often thought of asking Scarlet to be his mate, though he had never had the Gumption to do so, and now here she was asking him. "Only if you'll have me dear." Syipher said with a soft smile.
Next thing, before anyone knew what was happening, Azzan was only inches from his parents faces. "So! What's a mate? Can I have one?!" His brush of a tail flicked with excitement and a smile spread accross his face.

"Of course I'll still have you!" And then Azzan stole her attention. "A mate is someone you love forever and never part from. You'll have one when you're older, but not until then!" Scarlet laughed and bounced around a little. "This is great! I can't wait! For what? I dunno! Wheeeeeeeee!" And she bounced in small circles.

"Awww... Why cant I have one now? You two have one!" Azzan protested. He plopped down on him bum and pouted.
Syipher couldn't help but giggle at Azzan's attitude. "Oh, I guess you'll understand in time young one." Syipher said softly as he nuzzled his son. "I think I'll be back in a moment. Scarlet, dont you move." Syipher said as he walked away. He knew Scarlet would need to keep up her energy now, and would also have to have energy for the little ones in her tummy. He set off to find food.
Azzan sighed. "So Momma, when will my siblings get here? Did they go on a journey or something? On a great adventure and will be coming back soon?"

"Oh, on a wonderful adventure. They have to journey from the Land of Blue! That's where all the unborn Soquili live. They stay foals until thier mommies and daddies call for them. And then they come. But they have to make a long journey. They have to cross the River Rush. That's about as wide as our lands. Then they have to travle through the Yellow Plains. It's a very long, very dry place, some don't make it and die of thirst. It's awful when that happens. But if they do, then theyer spirits become Wind Soquili, and that's how they came to be. But if the foals make it across the Yellow Plains then they have to find thier mommies adn daddies. It will be a while, I fear, Azzan."

"Ohhhhh! Can I go find them? I want to go on a great adventure too! Can I please!?!" Azzan begged of his mother. The adventure his siblings were on sounded so exciting, how could anyone not want to go on such a trip?
Syipher returned carrying a small basket of apples and carrots he had borrowed from the two - leggers. He knew he shouldn't have, but if they knew what he did he was sure that Scarlets two-leggers wouldn't have minded him taking so few. "Here you go!" Syipher said as he offered the food to his love.
"Ohhh! Can I have one?" Azzan asked as he eyed the apples in the basket.

"You already went on that adventure before your momma had you. You may not remember it becasue you were so young, but you did! And of course you may have some!" Scarlet used her front teeth to gently take out a carrot from the basket and then turned to Syipher. "I was just telling Azzan about the Land of Blue!" She smiled brightly and continued to chomp down on the carrot.

"When you had me?" Azzan asked. Why did she say his momma.
Syipher looked curiously at Scarlet. He had never herd of the land of blue, but hearing Azzan's question he could only think it had something to do with giving birth. He didn't push the subject. "So, when do you think we should tell the two leggers?"

Scarlet was not sure how to answer that. So she did what any good mother would do. She fibbed. "Why, yes. When I had you. Excuse me for my mistake." She smiled and turned to Syipher. "I think we should let them figure it out, no? It shouldn't be too long. I'll begin to gain weight here shortly." She looked down her to already swelling tummy.
