Light shone in, from the gaps in between the green leaves and tree branches, allowing the path to be brighter and not so shadowed as it usually was. Colorful flowers of reds, yellows, blues, and violet peeked out from the ground thanks to the spring showers. Butterflies and other insects flew about the bushes and flowers, looking for the ever so sweet nectar to feed on. Another also moved about the flowers, searching for something to ease the ache in his stomach. “Come’n honey suckle.” Whispered Riker crouching down and moving in the tall bushes, his mud speckled white fur still sticking out against the deep green foliage.

There it was…the small recognizable honeysuckle bush with its delicious flowers hanging there…ripe for the taking. “Gotcha.” Riker murmured, his arm reaching forward to pluck one of the treasures. He pulled back and, after taking the flower’s stem out, placed the hole to his lips and inhaled the sweet nectar. Finished with the first he threw it to the side and started on another.

“Riker!” A loud shout made the male wolftaur jump up and backwards in surprise. Which also allowed him to knock his head against a low tree branch in the process.

“Ouch!” He muttered patting the back of his head. “What is it?” Riker asked grumpily as a familiar face came into view, Raine. “Geez, Raine!” At least it wasn’t the twins…those two Dalmatians were always double trouble.

“What?” The light blue striped wolftaur replied crossing her arms. “It’s not my fault that you disappeared on me!” Annoyed she didn’t even care that her old wooden bow was dragging on the ground behind her. Or that her case of arrows were laying crooked across her back.

“I was hungry!”

“Well you wouldn’t be if you would wait with me for Akemi!” She sighed and flicked a strand of hair behind her shoulder, "Sharpen your skills an stop thinkin' of food all the time, ya lazy mutt!" She quoted Akemi perfectly..or so she though.

“Wha?!” Following…err after being dragged behind Raine, Riker followed her out to a small clearing where the two usually caught up with the rest of the pack. There the green grass rustled as the breeze whistled by, reminding Raine of a wailing banshee. The sudden rustling alerted her of her best friend, Akemi as she emerged from the woods carrying a heavy pack which all three knew was filled to the brim with food her daggers and throwing knives attached to the belt that hung heavily around her waist. “Akemi!”

“Sorry, I’m late!” The rusty wolftaur female yelled as she ran towards them, even jumping over a log. “But it looks like I’m not the last!” Triumphant she skidded to a halt beside of the two, “Where are the twins even?” Pausing she moaned, “Please don’t let them be up to their mischief again! Not before a major hunt with the whole group!” With that said the two females laughed while Riker attempted to get a look at the food Akemi had brought with her. At least so far he knew that it smelled good…he'd have to steal a bite before they left on the hunt.

A young rabbit skittered across a predators path. The whispering winds foretold something large coming straight for it. It attempted to turn back but it was too late. Ka-thunk! Straight through the bone and into the Earth itself. Tzipora tsked and walked over to grab the massive battle axe by it's handle. With barely any difficulty, she slung it over her shoulder and looked down at the fallen innocent.

" You were suppose'ta run. " She shook her head and walked on, leaving the body for whatever scavenger wanted the scrap of meat. Truth was, she was starving and aching for a good fight but the rabbit wasn't any at all. Merely target practice.

Tzipora sauntered over to the area where she saw the pack already forming. There wasn't any need to hurry, seeing as those pestering twins weren't even here yet. When they got here, her easy going attitude would fall to an invisible shield. Pack safety came first. She lived for them and she would die for them. Her only life was the pack and what good it could accomplish. They had to be safe from all forms of oncoming attacks and dangers, this she would make sure of. Slinging her only other travelling item, a buckskin canteen, over her shoulder, she approached them.

" I see that I wasn't the only one running behind. " She gave a lazy half wave, grinning easy before tossing her axe onto the ground. The mighty blade easily split open a couple layers of earth before it came to rest at her paws. Tzipora stretched her arms over her head in a wide yawn before sitting down next to her weapon. Carrying such a heavy weapon was hell on your shoulders.

Ears pricked slightly as he heard voices near by.
~At last~the words drifted through his mind as he stood and stretched.
His muscles ached from the late night hunting he had attempted but sadly had nearly ended up pray himself.
Brushing the few stray grass seeds from his pelt he slowly padded towards the voices. Wondering if they would be friend or foe.

Clair's sensitive nose caught the scent of a gathering. One of her own kind, and that could only mean one thing: a hunt. She ran her fingers over the blue leather wrapped around the middle of her bow. It was long and wiry, with small, very sharp blades at the tips, just past where the string was tied. Her fingers were itching to use it, it had been so long since she'd been in a proper pack, let alone a hunt. She was what you could call a bit of a loner. She had, for the most part fought to keep her distance from others, but there was that instinct and longing to roam with the pack, united as one. With that in mind, she followed the scent and the sound of voices, eager and willing.

Kyrios felt his blood pump faster as he crept closer, closing in for the kill. It had been a while since he had hunted and he had forgotten that side of him which lusted for the kill. He loved the exictment that rushed through his veins when he had to find his prey or when he had to give chase but this, this was good too he thought as he silently crept toward the animal that would feed him for the next week. He drew back on his arrow, the wire barely making a squeak. Just as he was about to release it, the animal raised its head to the wind and scampered off. He cursed under his breath as he heard voices on the wind.

Then Kyrios lifted his nose and sniffed. 'Wolves.' he thought as he cursed under his breath for the prey that had gotten away. "Dang. That was my lunch that they chased away." He whispered under his breath. He didn't associate with a lot of taurs and he kept it that way. He didn't like getting near taurs, especially his own kind.

'Might as well see what they're doing.' He thought but he had smelled the heat in the air and figured that a hunt was getting ready to take place. He slipped his bow around his back and placed his arrow in its case. He made sure his dagger was still in place on his belt and padded quietly through the woods until he saw a small clearing where a bunch of wolf taurs had gathered. He stood back in the shadows and listened to them talk.

Shaking her head at the huge ax, that Tzipora carried, Akemi was amazed at how the wolftaur could carry the weapon around so much. She herself preferred lighter, faster weapons...hence her belt full of throwing knives and daggers. "But you were close to it!" She remarked with a small grin, "Did ya go after prey again instead of comin' straight here?" Yet...did she even have to ask?

Just seeing Tzipora approach with her giant axe made Raine check on her tri-piece spear. The three connected pieces hung about her waist and clicked against each other as she moved. The spear was her main weapon, and the arrows were just for far off prey. "Nice to see you again, Tzipora." She added after Akemi's exclamation with a small nod of her head. As usual her face was calm, always calculating their surroundings.

Riker was too busy trying to get to the food, so didn't raise his gaze to spot Tzipora. He already knew the wolftaur's scent and her familiar approach, so why waste his time looking up?

But then strange scents wafted towards him and the white wolftaur's gaze swung up and he moved around the group, just as Raine already was. "We may have company soon..." He growled softly to the others, his right hand already finding his own weapon.

A small nod and a questioning smirk were Tzipora's only answers to her fellow pack mates. She was more concerned with what Riker had brung up. Already her ears were swiveling around to hear the tell-tale crunches that would pre-date anothers approach. Trying to keep her cool, yet also preparing for a possible battle, she carefully stroked the handle of her axe as her nostrils flared. IF a fight was that they wanted, then a fight they would get.

" I'd have to guess three to five, " She whispered, " Be wary, yet keep your head cool. It could be vistors. " Stretching her arms over her head as she yawned, Tzipora lazily started polishing her blade with dirt, spit, and the palm of her hand.

Rounding a gap in the trees he noticed a group of your adults.
Noticing the weapons he realised they were getting ready to hunt.
Slowly walking forward he waved a sign of friendly greeting.
"Good morrow youngsters. Are ye planning a hunt?" he asked stopping close but still far enough away to flee if needed.
His hand rested on his belt close to his sword so if the need came to use it he would be ready.

Clairise silently approached the clearing, her footsteps light as she constantly checked the wind, moving to stay downwind from the other pack. She stood silently in the bushes, just hidden from view and watched as an older wolf approached the little trio that seemed to be planning the hunt. She watched their reactions carefully, wanting to make sure that they were welcoming others to their hunt before approaching them herself.

It wasn't to long after he got there that he picked up the scent of 2 other wolf taurs. One was a male, he discovered when he walked into the clear of younger wolves. From the way he walked and the look in his eyes, Kyrios could tell that he was a taur along in his years. The other one had yet to make an appearance and as the taur drew closer, he picked up the scent. 'Female.' Kyrios thought with a cringe. He didn't really like a lot of females. Only those that earned his respect, which was very few. He blocked out the images of the past, not wanting to go down that road right now so he turned his attention back to the taurs in the clearing and the one that stood just in the inside the tree line.

He decided to wait until the cost was clear and then move on, not really wanting to get mixed up in the whole thing but something made him stay. 'Damn it.' He thought as he cursed his curious side. It was one side of his nature that he didn't care for to often, it usually gets him into trouble with numerous taurs or other things that he shouldn't stick his nose in but, still, he stayed and once again listened to them talk back and forth.

“That means we should watch hot tempered Akemi an make sure she behaves.” Replied Riker with a wide grin before dodging the punch thrown by the rust colored wolftaur. “Jus kiddin!” But his eyes narrowed as if he had just proven a point and Akemi immediately crossed her arms and backed up with a forced yet calm expression on her face.

Then another and apparently older wolftaur approached the group. Raine, after hearing his greeting stepped up beside of Riker and in front of Akemi so she could speak, “Ah, that we are!” She smiled kindly and sneaking jabbed the white male in the side as he seemed to be faintly growling. “We’re waitin’ around for a couple more of our pack to show though…” Her eyes flickered around the clearing, nervous. Where were Eri and Emi? “Maybe you’ve seen them? They’re white with multiple black spots on their coats and are sisters…“ She paused, “Actually they’re twins.”

“Raine!” Hissed Akemi from behind, “He probably hasn’t seen ‘em either!” Her tail wagged impatiently as the other female shot her a quick glance. Why did Raine have to be so questioning and of strangers? Was this wolftaur already aggravated with their group? Akemi just stood silently behind Raine while barely biting her lip, fretting.

“Even so…” Raine put up a bright smile, “I was just curious…” She bowed her head and her tail drooped as she sighed, “Sorry if I was a bother to you, sir.” An idea flickered in her mind, maybe this wolftaur would want to join their party for a hunt? Surely extra taurs wouldn’t be a problem. Her eyes lightened as she looked around her group with the apparent question in her blue gaze. But who of their group would ask him such a question?

(Sorry for the late/slow post, everyone. sweatdrop I'll speed up I promise.^^; Especially after Saturday when I get back from this trip that I'm leaving on today.)

Tzipora smiled at Riker's antics and lazily shook her head, giggling under her breath.

Why was Raine in such a tizzy about whether those two hooligans showed up or not? They grated on her nerves every time she was forced to be with them for two long. She didn't think she could stand a whole hunting trip with them. Yet, Raine was asking someone she'd just met if she'd seen them. This took some investigating.

She leaned languidly on her axes handle to make herself comfortable before giving the new comer a once over. To Tzipora's eyes, he was a definate looker. An elder wolf than those she normally associated with but that didn't matter in the long run. She smiled passively to him, then chose to ignore him. Strays didn't hold much appeal for her. Most were wreckless and unpredictable. " Since he looks to be in once piece, I highly doubt that he's been in contact with them. "

his eyes drifted over the Female with the axe as he listened to her speak. sensing the tone of voice as humour he chuckled slightly
"Sadly no i have seen no other wolves on my travels.Twins or other wise."
Deciding to greet them formally he offered a slight bow to the group.
"My title is Het Charmeren van de prins. But to most i am called Char."
raising from his bow he continued "May i offer you my Skills in this hunt?"

"She is right, Raine." Replied Akemi with a grin. If the twins had meet him he'd probably not be doing so great as he looked at the moment. "I'm Akemi, Char." Motioning towards Riker she added, "That's our group idiot, Riker."

Riker's growling was cut off by Raine, "I'm Raine and I'm sure it'd be fine with everyone if you came." Her smile was bright at the thought of having extra hands to help in their hunt.

Riker nodded stiffly, "Aye. Ya can come, Char."

Tzipora didn't smile on the outside, despite the grin that was blossoming inside. Her tail swished back and forth with contentment. Although Raine's trust unnerved her she would allow the outsider to hunt with them and if he wronged them...well, time would tell.

" A pleasure to meet you, Char, " She nodded her head his way. " You may call me Tzipora. "
