PRP for plotting and mixing of plots and tribes for Hatter, Skye, Ende, and a few more.
He had the strangest feeling he'd forgoten something. And yet, being whom and what he was, and what defined his nature. He really didn't feel all together concerned about that fact.
In fact, just at that particular moment he was -fairly- sure that the only thing he'd forgotten that bothred him at all was that he'd forgotten where he left his meal.
He sat down quiet decisivly and listened to the rumble of his stomach, after all one must -always- listen to stories in need of telling, and his stomach was being particularily conversational just at the moment.
"Bother..." he said in distress.

They had passed enough time without a good hunt, making due with hares and such for long enough. Having come across a small herd she'd decided that they should try their luck again and see where it got them. She managed to separate a doe from the herd and was now chasing it towards the other female, much like they'd done before. Why knock something when it worked so well before?
"That's it... Run a bit faster. It's going to end the same either way." She smirked, nipping at the hind leg of the beast, making it move faster.

In an almost eerie reenactment of their first encounter, Ziarre lunged from the grasses at the bolting doe. Nearly missing this time, her claws managed to catch and hold, leaving long tracks before finally digging in deep. Just a little too far back to get a good purchase on the throat, she kicked at the animal's hind legs, tripping it up and sending it into a stumble that would give Mwindaji an opportunity to enter the fray.

The distressed squalls of the animal sounded like one thing to him.
Oportunity.
For a free meal! He wandered towards the sound, puffing up his chest and sucking in his gut (tough all things considered it was still quite round, and would only be more so when he filled it to bursting as he quite intended)
After all, nothing tasted better than a meal caught by someone else and shared over a story.... unless it was Yams.

She ignored the scent she caught as she lunged forward, not about to give up a good meal just because someone else happened to be around. She was cocky enough to believe that she could deal with whatever came and get dinner out of the deal... And she would, if all went well.
As the doe went down she lunged at it, taking that chance to aide Ziarre in pinning its body down, clamping her mouth down over the creature's nose. She waited, golden eyes gleaming as she counted the breaths, keeping her eyes out for whatever it was that she had caught scent of.

As soon as the struggles ceased and the doe beneath her went limp, Ziarre jerked her head into the air. Her teeth bared slightly in irritation that her meal had been interrupted, her nose twitched, and her eyes swept across the grasses in search of the stranger. If another lion, they might be allowed to share. If not...they'd regret crossing her path. "Who is it?"

"Old Man 'Nancy...spider man Nancy!" He called making his way into view with with eager little horrid 'twitches' from his 'wings'.
"Hungry old man-nancy..." he added with an actual rumble from his belly.

"Hungry?" She snorted, giving her head a light toss. "I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but so are we... And we caught our food." She smirked, casting a glance at her traveling companion before tilting her head towards the sound of the voice. "What will you give us if we share our prey?"

As Ziarre caught sight of the stranger, she couldn't help but to stare in slight disbelief. Wings...a god? But a strange one, if that were so...and when he spoke, she was even more convinced of this. He didn't sound so much godlike as...old, and not terribly bright. As Mwindaji glanced at her she gave a slight nod of agreement. They'd earned the kill, this stranger would have to earn a share if he wished one even if he was a god.

He pondered this for a moment. "Well...a story of course" he said like they sould absolutely have known this already "I am Ananasi! And of course...I will tell the story of the two mighty and generous huntresses whom shared their meal with Old Man 'Nancy...fine story it shall be! Hearilding their beautiful and wisdom across the savanah!" He said almost dreamily as he imagined it already, almost as clearly as he imagined food in his belly.

"Our travels alone could bring word of our beauty across the land... As for wisdom?" She smirked. "I suppose most would consider it wise to share their prey with a God... The story I can do without." She paused for a moment before glancing up to the lion. "Ziarre eats first... You can have what portion would have been mine." She nodded slowly as she stepped back, making room for him where she once was. If Fortune had placed this in her path she would not question it.

Ziarre was slightly surprised at the offer of a story...was that his domain? It didn't seem to fit Ananasi's appearance, if it was. She was more surprised, however, that Mwindaji would give up the entirety of her share. She herself wasted no time eating, but rather than eat the full portion, she stopped about halfway through her 'share.' "You should eat at least a little," she prodded her companion in an almost gentle tone. "You've got at least as much ground to cover as I do."

"No story!?" he said aghast, but did stop to listen as they each spoke. It was only polite after all.
"Might I suggest a compromise? I need not be so magnificent and finly furred as this..." he tapped his...slightly mangey wiery fured chest.
"I can be much smaller... it's a little trick! And then I will eat less, but I am also a very -olllld- god and hate walking. Would one of you carry me if I ate less?" He said hopefully.

She seemed wary of the god but listened well enough, moving a bit closer to the prey. It seemed such a pity to let it go to waste... And if he was going to eat less... Something about this sounded like making a deal with the devil.
"On one condition: I will not agree to anything until after we eat... And after we see your little trick. Then and only then will we make an agreement if we make on at all."

Ziarre's eyebrows shot up. Making himself smaller...could he truly do such a thing? Was it even possible, even for a god? "As she said," she finally replied, a skeptical expression written plainly on her face. "I for one find it hard to believe even a god can perform such a...trick." Why would one want to make themselves smaller, anyways?
