i'm interested in what you collect, but really i want to know what drew you to the objects you hoard??
explain your collecting obsessions!
my first collection item was rainwater shampoo, such a lovely looking thing.
lemon sprinkle doughnuts, i saw one one day and thought that looks so good! it's the colours of that item that appeals to me.
after that i found a bunch in one go.
the springy shoyru toy from the advent calendar is just the cutest thing! it was the facial expression that won my heart with that object.
rose shakes, because they're so yummy looking, and what a lovely idea anyway!
Flower cakes, for much the same reason, so pretty.
Neowaiian bread, looks like you could cuddle it.
Eau de Daisy, prettiness again, and the description, smells like a lazy summer afternoon*sigh* and daisies are my favourite flower biggrin
pink poogle toys, well i had to have at least one plushie didn't i??
Illusen's cream cookies, again because they look delicious, do i collect too many food items? i suppose it's better to collect them on Neo than to sit and scoff them
Cornupepper jelly, because i love spicy things so this is the ultimate in fitting items for me!
rainbow doughnutfruit plushies, i'd like to sleep on a bed piled high with these!

a lot of my collection items are comfort related, they must reflect my lazy nature confused

I've been collecting bottles of sand for ages now, as well as the sand sculptures. I was just geting them over and over again at the tombola and they looked so cool.

lol. i know it sounds like a lot of things, but when it's only pixels who cares??
i don't have many of any of them though. i got quite a few items on my birthday thanks to Bippy posting on the couch board with my collection list 4laugh she's a devil!
i have a bit of a rule that i only buy my collection items if they're very cheap.
and if i'm doing any trade giveaways they'll be the commodity used.
So i don't think i'll ever get up into the many thousands like fawN and her ummagines lol

Thanks to you I'm over 10,000 of those things! I love them! I have to get ready for my almost non-existent housewarming party now but I'll post later why i love them so! heart heart heart

Oh boy, it's my topic! Warning, this could be long.

heart Ummagines - the first thing I started to collect before I even knew there was a term for obsessively buying a lot of something. When they were first released, the bright purkle color really drew me in! Ummagines have come to identify me ever since. (I also collect everything ummagine related.) Current collection total of plain ummagines stands at almost 72,000.

heart Illusens Cream Cookies - because they look so YUMMY, and they're light green, like mint, another obsession of mine (hence a mint gallery), and they come from Meridell which represents Illusen, my favorite faerie, and Ixis (fawns!) Current total over 8,200.

heart Half Jellies - mostly because when jellies came out, I thought that having half jellies would be more valuable than having whole jellies, just like third omelettes make more profit than whole omelettes. And when halved, you can get a better sense of how solid they are, standing up with a straight cut edge! Like Knox Blox (harder jell-o) when I was little! Current totals, over 1,000 or 2,000 of each flavor except for the less commons.

I've recently decided everything else I collect is now an ex-collection, because I have so many it's overwhelming!

The reason behind a lot of these are either "yummy," "cute," or "pretty" like a lot of Jackie's collections! Some have other significance, like the Spicy Herbal Tea which reminds me of my Asian heritage, the Mint Chocolate Chia Pops which look like Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream, my favorite!, the Blue Kacheek Group Jackets because Khodalee was originally a Blue Kacheek, Sinsis Crown because Sinsi is a beloved Ixi (fawn), the Giant Bar of Chocolate which looked like the closest thing to the yummy bars of chocolate Charlie savored every day from his birthday until they were gone (the book made them SO TASTY), Plushie Kau Plushie because VeauRiant (french for laughing calf) will be a plushie kau when I get tired of the desert peophin look, and the Hand Knitted Jumper which reminds me of sweaters my mom used to knit for me and my sister (and it's so colorful up close!)

I still appreciate getting 'ex-collections' and adding to my totals, but their prices often aren't easily-collectible, and I feel ridiculous with so many collections! I've even been keeping any waterfish, butterfish, and half coconut shells I come across, and although I haven't admitted to myself that they're official collections because I already collect so many things, I feel guilty for adding more! The half coconut shells remind me of eating fresh coconut, which I've loved to do since I was little, and the waterfish just look really cool, while the butterfish are so bright yellow like my yellow gallery!

Heh, I think the guilt is that I can't control myself, it seems, and have to go so overboard-crazy on everything! And when people ask "what do you collect?" I blush and think "what do I NOT collect?!" like I'm being greedy by listing so many things that I might be hoping to receive or something! At least I have a MAIN collection that truly identifies me!
