... but noone I think that I'd actually tag with the term "huntard" except in good fun. I'm not counting those people you run past without speaking too that you see not using their pet until they get hit and therefore the pet is pretty much useless... I mean, people that I've actually spoken with and grouped with.
Well... I think I just met my first huntard.
He was a nice enough guy, I just wanted help with a quest and he was in the same area and I thought it'd save time if we grouped and both did it and he agreed. He wasn't a hindrance by any stretch of the imagination, and he used his traps, and his pet... But he had a stave.
Now, that ain't a bad thing. I know hunters can use staves you just rarely see it.
Why am I commenting on the stave? well, I inspected him just before we parted at the end and... oh lordy... he had the Staff of Jordan.

Staff of Jordan Binds when equipped Two-Hand Staff 119 - 180 Damage Speed 3.70 (40.4 damage per second) +11 Intellect +11 Spirit Durability 120 / 120 Requires Level 35 Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 26.
Hunters are one of those classes where the less knowledgeable they are, the more they tend to think that every piece of gear in the game was made for them. I reeeeeeeally hope he didn't pay the 1000g its worth AH value on my server. Aw man that means it dropped for him and he didn't ******** sell it. Now I feel bad for him.

In later levels, Intellect is an asset to have since marksmen hunters gain bonus from talents. Intellect is also good for certain hunters that spam their abilities alot.
I know that my twink hunter level 19 had an Emberstone Staff because it has stamina and intellect, and does good DPS. It's fine for hunters to use staves. But a Staff of jordan isn't really suitable for a hunter though.

Hunters do gain bonuses from talents from Intellect when spec'd Marksmanship (even though its a wicked shitty talent and is xbox far down the tree). Marks only really comes through with BT Gear and equivalent tier sets.
Having it for leveling and s**t = lol.
