The black cheetah pawed at the ground gently as he stretched out his front legs, with the moonlight fading, the scenario before him in a different light. Rakesh started to walk, sniffing.
It was sometimes more comfortable to hunt at in the early evening and early morning for the dark creature. Even those with ligther pelts found those times to be ideal. He yawned, the early hours were always slow for him, maybe cause he never slept as much as he would like to.
Coming up to a drying watering hole, he lapped at the small puddle of water before plopping down, rolling around and squirming against the cool mud. Using it to not only cover his scent but also his red markings. He didn't mind the mud at all, and in a way, he enjoy splashing in it. He knew it was a bit cubbish of him, but he couldn't help it.
Finally yawning, the feline rolled back up onto his feet and looked around, listening as the land around him seem to start to wake up along with its residents.

Aailyah had crept away from the coalition, taking some time for herself. The lands were becoming more populated by the minute and while she enjoyed the company of all the cheetahs, she could not get past the solitary-female feelings she felt in the pit of her stomach. The responsibility of leading the growing group was also tiresome. As the single seer that witnessed the vision that all believed in, she was often the focus of many questions and sometimes, demands.
It had been so difficult to explain that her visions did not come by choice and that occassionally they were only fragments of whole situations. Her interpretations were also biased in the fact that it was only she who watched the visions and that she needed to find some way to explain them to the group.
As she paced through the coalition, Aailyah enjoyed the cool air blow through her fur with the night breeze. Walking along at her leisure, the cheetah was surprised to see another out so early. She knew that many cheetahs preferred the early morning to hunt, but it seemed incredibly early to the female. Approaching the dark cheetah, Aailyah bowed and smiled warmly, "Greetings brother, what brings you out so early?"

"The hunt, sister." Rakesh answer as he bowed back to her. While group life was more appealing to most males, not all that much to him, since he had been the only survivor of his litter, the black cheetah never really learn or understood group hunting. Even with the coalition, he still enjoy going hunting by himself every once in a while. But he enjoy the company of the rest of the group, which is why he didn't wonder away too far or for too long.
He sat down, scratching at his neck and lower jaw, covering up the red strip that seem to give him a rather malignant look at times. "I could ask you the same, but I am sure you wanted some peace....When you were walking this way you had the same look on your face like my mother did when she got fed up with me and needing some space."
The male smile widely, he was good-hearted and that's what broke the whole evil look that he might had at any time.

Aailyah nodded. She should have figured that much, but thought that perhaps someone else was unable to rest. Taking a seat near the male, Aailyah looked aimlessly into the surrounding lands of the coalition. By the look of her eyes and the way she held herself, the female had not been getting a good amount of sleep. The worry for those that were under her care was beginning to wear on her. Perhaps she needed help with keeping the others happy?
Since Aailyah was the one who had the vision and began the coalition, she had become incredibly protective of how things went on. It would be difficult to learn to trust the others, but she needed to accept them all equally as her family. Perhaps having someone to watch over the cubs and some dedicated groups that were willing to hunt for those unable to. Aailyah silently pondered what she could do to better the community.
When Rakesh spoke, the white cheetah's cheeks turned pink from embarassment. It was true that she wanted her own space, but it was never unpleasant to be in the company of her own people. Shaking her head quickly, the female tried to correct the male, "No, no, I would enjoy your company. I simply... have a lot on my mind."

Rakesh chuckled softly. "I never said that such look was direct to me....I am quiet sure that the group that still sleeping is responsible for your need to get away for little while."
Looking away, he sniffed the air, some prey scents in the gentle morning breeze, but how far?
"Maybe I could help? What is it that bothers you at this moment, dear sister?" He turned his head towards her, smiling once again.

Once again, Aailyah blushed from embarassment, "Well, yes. You would be right to guess that. It is not that I do not adore the coalition, but that I find it difficult to sleep with so many thoughts running through my mind." The cheetah was surprised with how comfortable it was to speak with one of her own kind. Growing up in the roguelands, she spoke with no one.
It was comforting to know that someone wished to help her in her time of need. Looking to Rakesh, the cheetah narrowed her eyes as though sizing him up for something. "Well.. the coalition is so much to handle. I do not believe that I can take on this task on my own. I have been hoping for some vision to point me in the correct direction, but it appears that the Gods wish for me to make this choice on my own."

The feline tried to not smile too wide, he seem to notice the blushing that he was causing and couldn't help but to think that was cute. It wasn't hard to read others if you knew what look for.
Sizing up a dark cheetah that was cover in mud and smiling didn't scream 'best helper around', it scream more among the words 'childish little helper'. That was if someone forgot that he was out hunting.
"I can see why they would do that. The gods want to help, but they must give you opportunities to do things on your own, it helps keeping the group together and it will allowed others to see you as the leader, as someone to come up to and know that you will help then. If they helped you constantly, all that the coalition would eventually see is just your powers."

Contrary to what Rakesh thought, Aailyah believed that being covered in mud and awake during the early morning was absolutely perfect! Cubs were prone to waking much earlier than their parents and sneaking off to explore and play. If someone else was awake in order to keep a close eye on them, that would be wonderful!
As her blush slowly faded, Aailyah looked like she had made up her mind. And when Rakesh continued to speak to her, it only cemented her idea further. "I agree with you entirely. I cannot have the group rely entirely on my abilities. I believe that the position of leader requires much more than that."
And then with a sly smile as though she was about to release a bomb on the unsuspecting cheetah, she made a proposal. "But I also believe that it is a leader's responsibility to divide the important tasks among qualified members of the group. I happen to have such a task for you, if you would be interested."

Rakesh watched her from the corner of his eye as he also scanned the area. He seem relax further, since it seem that Aailyah was finally relaxing herself, her blush was fading.
"Of course it does. It requires courage, wisdom and willingness to learn and admit when you don't know something or can't do something. It requires that you let others help you. Let be getting a cub out of a tree, or helping a mother that lost one of her cubs to other predators get over her lost..." He tilted his head slightly. "....and it also requires a bit of fear, if you care to believe that."
The male turned his head towards her when he spotted the smile, stiffing up a bit. "Oh? If you believe I am qualified, then yes, I am very interested."

Aailyah was enjoying the conversation with Rakesh so much that she did not even hesitate in her thoughts. He had not been a member for such a long time, but had remained within the coalition territory and proved to be a friendly face to stumble across. While Aailyah had never seen him interact with cubs, she could guess by his nature and friendly demeaner that he would be perfect in their company. She only hoped that he would not take offense to her suggestion. A male nanny was not entirely common.
Rakesh claimed to be very interested, but Aailyah bit her lip almost nervously. Well, here goes nothing, she thought to herself with a smile. With a friendly smile, Aailyah spoke again, "With so many things to attend and a growing amount of cubs to look over, it would be lovely to have someone to help watch over them. Of course, their mothers and fathers would play important roles, but someone to continue to teach our ideals, occupy their time and tell stories of our growing history."
Once Aailyah was finished, she awaited a response somewhat nervously. Would she offend this male with her offer?

The male stiffen further and turned his head the other way, as if something else had gotten his attention beyond what Aailyah was talking about, thought obviously nothing had passed, since Rakesh's red ears were back and against his head. "In other words, you are asking me to be a nanny....." He eyed her from the corner of his narrow crimson eye. "....."
He suddenly turned about and bump his nose against the white female. "Sure, why not, it could be fun." He laughed as he moved back. He couldn't help wanting to play the heartless guy every once in a while.

Rakesh's reaction was entirely what Aailyah feared. Suddenly she doubted herself, her judgements and her ideas all together. She was prepared to apologise and slowly leave the male to himself when Rakesh continued to speak. Swallowing slowly, the female awaited him to say something awful. She silently hoped that she had not offended him to the point in which her apologies would not help.
When his nose suddenly bumped into Aailyah, the female jumped back from surprise. The sudden contact had her blushing more brightly than she had earlier. Was he upset? When Rakesh spoke again, the pale cheetah was reassurred that the male was actually pleased with the idea and was only teasing early. Swatting at the male with a paw, Aailyah scolded him. "That wasn't very nice!" And jumping to her feet, the leader of the Duma'Chama beamed with pride from her successfull decision.
Before taking off back towards her den and her son, Chura, he looked back towards Rakesh and smiled, "I will be sure to talk to you later, nanny!" She teased with a smile, which was something rather different for the female to do.
