I thought you guys should know that in the past few months I've been here, lurking. I never left this whole time. *gasp* Because I care. I want to be assured that my old friends are doing well. Now I was pretty sure everyone had forgotten about me. But I looked at the SG award nominations, and to my great surprise I was nominated for stuff by several people. That means that people are remembering me, too! I swear I'm not letting it get to my head or feigning ignorance here. I was genuinely, pleasantly surprised and happy. Gah...I really hope this doesn't sound like a love letter to myself or something, I'm just thankful.
Anyway, I would make some nominations myself but I was too shy to do so the first time around and may still be too shy this time. But maybe...maybe I can muster it up and do it anyway.
Anyone wondering what I've been up to? I work at the McDonald's across the street from my apartment. It's an okay job but none of my coworkers share any of the same sorts of interests I do (see: geeky). So I don't really have anyone to talk to. And all of these teenagers keep laughing at me for being friendly and using a pleasant voice. It's confusing and annoying and a bit hurtful. And a lot of people apparently have never been to McDonald's before because they have no clue what the frick I'm talking about. Is figuring out what kind of soda you want honestly that hard of a question? Honestly? I never knew I had so much patience.
I've decided I don't want to go to grad school. I've already scrutinized the finer points of Political Science so much that anything deeper than that might make my brain ask for a body transfer. Do I really need to know political theorists by heart and conduct research that's already been done like 50 times before in different ways? I still have over a year of school left. Lots of my classmates at the university are pompous, competitive know-it-all dickheads. Pardon the language. At least it's not everyone.
I used to wonder if I was weird for not wanting to be a liquored-up sorority girl. Now I think they're the weird, sad ones. Having fun with your friends is fine. Girls Gone Wild is not fine. I'm not going to be part of the herd! I could dye my hair blond and go tanning and wear aviator shades and really short skirts. But I actually want to be myself, not an extension of those around me. I just wish I could find others who are the same way.
Who am I, anyway?

Sunaya, if you only have 1 year-ish left of school just finish it. It doesn't matter what your major is. You're so close to having a degree! Many places don't even care what your degree is in, they just want someone who is smarter than the average person, or someone to prove they can put up with 4 full years of crappy useless crap. Don't give up now! =( Also: Q still loves Sunaya. heart

Nymphiedora SUNAYA! Its either you are going to be US President some day or Dukes is. Do you really think Dukes would be better at it then you? *gasp* No, I'd be better! I WIN THE ELECTION WOO. There was a new store manager and a couple of new people who were our direct bosses' bosses at the store. They all sucked. Especially this one girl who was the second worst kind of boss to have, the worst being ones who are borderline abusive. This girl, Lori, was 24 or 25 and clearly was only looking out for number one. I could see RIGHT THROUGH her 'cheerfulness and niceness'. It was so obviously fake. I just knew she felt so special about herself being in the position she was in and was only there in hopes of being promoted within the company to, um, to its CEO or something. And she (wrongly) thought she knew how to do my job better than I did even though she had only been there a week and I, for several months. So anyway, me and literally everyone I knew at the store quit because of these people. But thank you. heart Sunaya, have you seen our current president? Going by that criteria, Ezzy's DOG is smart enough for the position. Nevertheless. Welcome back. XD Thanks, you two. And I'd TOTALLY have your dog as my Vice President, Ezzy. That would be so fun and she/he would be so cute that everyone would have to listen to him/her. ` l e x i i if they bother you at all, tell them at least you're going to amount to something and get out of the mcdonalds job, while they'll probably be there the next 30 years [:
I have so many wonderful things I could say to people. But I'd get in trouble/fired. *cries* At least my bosses and like 2 customers appreciate my friendliness on the job.

Does anyone want their parents to win? ^_^ Target hired people as bosses as long as they had a degree, so yeah, I'm sure tons of places would be willing to hire me after college. But the problem is getting a job I want. Gah. I won't give up, luffie! Also: Sunaya still luffs Q lots. heart

I can't see anyone that I know making fun of someone for being nice. Well, maybe two, but they're annoying jerks anyways XP

And fast food sucks, as well as many of the people that work there (NOT YOU! THEM! o.o)... and the fact that you lost your job at Target sucks as well... x_x
And I'll agree with your comment on the "typical college girl"... and add a notion that the "typical college guy" isn't any better... people that can't be themselves... don't really exist? o.O It's sad... ._.
Then again, when you go into politics... can you really expect the people already there not to be assholes? o.O Okay, so that's too much stereotyping there.. but you get my point?
And anyone that makes fun of you for being nice... is an asswipe, and doesn't deserve to be around you... and hopefully eventually you'll never have to deal with people like that again (at least not in any significant numbers...) ^_^( )

Tedie and Kitty: Hearing that you guys are nice to fast food people makes me very happy. THANK YOU.
I'd say about 1/3 of my customers are nice, 1/3 are douchebags and 1/3 pretend that I'm a robot. And a varying number of all of those people have about 2 brain cells. But as long as they're nice I can tolerate it. And I have no idea what the heck is so funny about me being nice, really. People have imitated me right in front of my face, before. And the best part is, I can't deny people service. But eh, they can go to hell regardless, right?
