First, and probably only, 3 part post.

FINALLY!

Yesterday was my schools graduation ceremony. It went a lot faster than I thought for a senior class of 350 kids. :O My grandmother and an aunt and uncle showed up. My parents were there of course, and even though my mom took pictures, they were lost later.

The camera she used was new and she is pretty techological lost. We found out later that she didn't have the memory card in all the way so the pics were on the camera's extremely short built-in memory, and any pic we took after the memory was full, made the earlier pics get erased. Silly mom! ><

My cap kept riding up, and bobby pins didn't help a whole lot. My dad complained that my gown was too short. I, never being at a graduation ceremony, then felt self concious when I walked in with the seinor clutter. Their gown was about the same length as mine and some of them were wearing jeans and sneakers with their gown. I wore khaki capris with fancy slipper-like-sneakers.

On the way to the collesium, where our graduation's supposed to be held, I was a little worried that we would be late. The graduates are supposed to be there at 1:30, and it was 1:25 when we got stuck behind a HUGE line of cars that are also trying to get to the collesium. We got there only a few minutes late, and before I got off my dad told me that they would pick me up where they dropped me off (behind the collesuim).

The ceremony, itself wasn't too bad. Class pres gave their speeches and yadda yadda... we went through all of the motions and walked up on stage, received our "diploma" (a.k.a blue piece of taped paper saying "Congrats, you made it!"), and....yeah...
At the very end all of the graduates got a can of silly spray. When the principal said his final words, hell broke loose for a few minutes. Teachers rushed out as fast as they can as 350 cans of silly string sprayed silly string EVERYWHERE! It was sticky, smelled bad, and stained my white gown a bit, but it was super cool. Afterwards, it looked like a rainbow threw up! XD

After everything was said and done, I looked for my parents in the bleachers. I couldn't find them! Minutes later I saw my grandma and my aunt and uncle sitting together, so I rushed up there while dialing my parents. I had my cell phone at the time...I forgot to mention that to my parents. Dumb mistake. While I was running, a blister started to form on my pinki toe. I was glad I didn't wear heels, or my blister would've been a heck of a lot worse. I caught up with my relatives, and they said they gone to look for me! D: So I hugged them, thanked them, and everything and rushed out to the section where my parents dropped me off. During this time, I tried to call both of my parent's cell MANY times. Didn't work, of course. My parents' cellphones were in the car, because they didn't need them. DX So I ran around the ENTIRE place while my blister was taking over my toe, and I found their car. They weren't in there. I found were all of the people gathered so I went there. I found my mom and she said that they've been looking for me. I explained my problem, and I was starting to get very cranky. I was hot, my feet hurt, and I was getting dehydrated. My dad picked me up minutes afterwards and got upset with me. I told him that I did what he asked and was at the spot where they were to pick me up. He denied it saying that he never said that and thought that I would be where everyone else would be. x_x

Parties!

A lot of my friends were leaving for vacation, so they didn't really have a graduation party. One very good friend of mine was having a party so I decided to go. After the graduation experience, I was feeling a bit bummed, but my parents coaxed me into going to the party. My mom drove me. I didn't really have a gift for her, so I decided to give her something once I buy it from our family trip to Texas.

Since the blister was being a b***h, I had to wear Crocs the whole time. The feet area was nice and wide, so my blister didn't make me suffer too much, but my feet sure got sweaty. ._.''

I had a good time at the party. I took some pictures (which was before I found out about the memory card thing. ._.''), and got a really good pic of her dog and my friend. But, of course, it got erased. A couple of her friends that I knew came to her party, which was nice. Talking to her relatives still sounds like an akward moment for me. ^^''

My mom picked me up a few hours later. After I got home, I contacted my friends for my grad party for the next day.

MY PARTY!

The next day (i.e. today) was my graduation party. Despite having a pretty big house, I have a HUGE family, so it was pretty packed, pretty quick. Some of my friends came over, which I was super happy about. I got lots of hugs, and congrats, and such. I got a lot of cards too....and money. >_> I have to go the bank tomorrow, then hit Target. I still need to buy some more cash cards.

Mom decorated the house with all of my accomplishments (4-H, bowling, & photography mostly) and one of my aunts made a pretty kick-a** delicious grad cake! It was sooo sweet, that I couldn't finish it all. XP

We had plenty of food left over, like we always do, and I gave away books that I decided to reject when I was cleaning my room. Like food, I still had books left over. (The Book of Winning Chess Moves, anyone?) Some of my cousins played Guitar Hero, while one of my cousins messed with my actual guitar (FYI, I can't play worth crap). Anyone who ate on the porch got to meet Coco very well, and anyone who walked in my room got to meet Rocky. X3

The party was supposed to last three hours, but everyone cleared out after the fourth hour, but it was quite fun. One of my uncles that never really talked to me, talked to me. It was kind of weird, because, even though I've known him for 18 years, it felt like I have seen him for the first time. My cousins kept giving me crap that I'm old enough to do anything, except drink. D:

VACATION!

Okay, first off, I realized I hadn't technically started college yet. Just think of posts before then as a prolouge. XP

Well, I'm currently at a hotel in Austin, Texas. We're staying there for the night and head down to Padre Islands: our main vacation. We started off a two hours behind schedule, because my brother decided to come along, and he didn't pack the night before, and his clothes were all dirty. So...yeah...>>

The ride here was 10 hours and my legs are stiff from being cramped in a tiny car that has NO cup holders, and my ears are a little sore from listening to my music from my iPod the entire time.

I realize Texas is pretty different from Kansas. I made a nice list for you guys so you can see the difference:

1. First off. Flat Kansas is FLAT! Texas has big hills and lotsa trees. Our current hotel is on a giant hill. :O

2. I never saw so many state flags in one place. I see Texas's flags EVERYWHERE. I rarely see a Kansas flag anywhere, unless you're in an imporant building.

3. Is Whataburger really good? First two hours of driving in Texas and I passed at least five. I've never heard of Whataburger until I got to Texas.

4. Strange as this sounds, the highways are cooler looking in Texas. The columns are more decorative and there's oodles of them. There are usually five highways over one another, while in Kansas, it's only three-ish.

5. Gas is cheaper. At least Bush was good for something.

Oh, and while the family was passing restaurants, we came by a Fuddruckers. Some of the letter's were burnt out, so it only spelled FUD_ _ _ _CKERS. One letter off of a photo opportunity! It still made my immature mind giggle.

One last thing, I found out an anime convention is taking place in Dallas from the 30th to the 1st. It sucks that I'm going to be across the state when it happens. D:

Well, that's it for now. Please comment so I know that SOMEONE is reading this and I'm not only doing this for therapy. biggrin

VACATION! Part II

Yay! We made it to Padre Island around 5:30ish. The first thing I noticed right off the bat: IT'S SO FREAKING HUMID! In less than an hour, my lovely, pretty, flower-smelling T-shirt reaks of B.O.

P.I reminds me a lot of California: There's a vast ocean, palm trees on every corner, and oodles of seagulls that would maul you for an almost-empty box of popcorn. gonk
I really hate my legs so I packed long legged jeans...yeah, smart move. >>; Tomorrow my parents are going to this clothing store next door, and I'm getting some shorts, or something.

I forgot to mention of what happend to our beloved pets. (I knew you were wondering about them, right? wink ) Coco's in some doggy daycare thing. No worries there. Rocky is staying at my friend's grandmother's house. It was supposed to be my friend only, but I learned that my friend is going to Texas too, at the same week! gonk Since she has a guinea pig, she took her's and mine to her Granny's.

Lesse...anything else... Well, I just want to tell you guys one of my mom's annoying quirks. She has the tendency to add 'y' to the end of words. Like, during our car ride, my mom asked my dad if he wanted some "Mike and Ikeys", and she, later, asked me if I packed my "Flippy-floppys". It gets irritating after awhile, since it makes it sound like she's talking to a child.

...Okay, that's it for today. I probably won't update until a couple of days, or even later, if nothing's going on...

Just Chillin'

We got back from P.I at about 2:00 CST. The overall vacation was pretty good. I got sunburned a bit from hanging out in the ocean too long, but it cleared up pretty quickly. My brother complained the entire trip, which isn't pretty surprising. I slept about 2/3 of the car trip to and from P.I.

The beach was pretty sweet. The seagulls weren't that bad, until someone brings out food. Then they swarm. The water was a little chilly, but really nice overall. There's an a**-load of seashells, so we got some nice sovieners (can't spell) to bring back. Besides the beach, me and the parents went to a lot of little museums.

One thing I noticed when I got to P.I was the bunches of beach stores. There was nine of them, and they all sold the same stuff. Also, there's too many seafood restaruants. I love seafood so much, I thought I would never get tired of it. I was wrong...really wrong. I ate at a Whataburger. Apparently, they're only in Texas. @_@ It's pretty good. Reminds me of a fancier McDonalds.

I got my guinea pig back from my friend's house. He's a little bit fatter, but it's nothing a good chasing can't fix. My doggy's gonna be back on Monday.

That's it for now. I'm pretty tired. I'll upload some pics when I feel like it. >>

The Waiting Game

A couple of weeks ago, I got a volunteer job at a nature center. My mom wants me to not be on my a** the entire summer, so I got this job-thing. My state's hiring rate for teens is low (less than half) so I though it'll be hard for me to get a real paying job. It's pretty cool. I pick up crap from the nature part of the area, which I don't mind. I also get to walk around the park and make observations, which I find relaxing.

Ironically, I got offered a paying job a couple of days ago. It's for a pet store, but they're moving to another building. So my job, which is considerd a temp job, (but it pays so I don't care,) is to move stuff from one store to the other. Not only will I get my daily workout in, but I get paid. Gaia's taking all my money, so you see why I'm kind of happy about getting paid. After the move is over, I will have a chance to get a job as a cashier. So, overall, I'm pretty psyched to get started.

The weather's getting a little crappy. It's storming and raining mostly in the evenings and is majorly dry and hot in the...not-evenings. It's hard to sleep because of this, and also, my guinea pig snores. Poor thing has his nose clogged up. I hope the meds kick in soon. sad

Oh, and no pics. Since, apparently, noone reads this, it's no use.

*Sigh*

Today was my last day to volunteer at the Nature Center (the job-thing). I'm starting my job at the pet store in a week.

I had the most 'greatest' thing done to me. I was heading down to the basement to bring my dog in, because lawn guys want to work on the back yard and didn't want the dog around. I missed a step, slipped, and majorly sprained my ankle. It hurt like hell. I yelled in pain, and waited for the hurt to settle. Since I didn't want to get the lawn guy's attention, and not freak them out, I tried to head towards the door. I stood up, and took one step. Next thing I knew, I woke up on the floor. My head felt heavy and I felt like I was gonna vomit. I walked my way to the door. I got close, then I woke up on the floor again. I kept going and I finally let my dog in the house. Once I closed the door, I woke up on the ground with my dog licking my face. I managed to secure my dog, then walk upstairs and flopped on the couch. I called my mommy and we went to the doctors. I got a spiffy 'air cast'. ;O

I had no clue how long the unconscious intervals were, but they probably weren't long. Still, it kind of sucked. I have to have the cast on for a week. Luckly, it'll be off before I start work.
