Where is that?
The Underground. It's a place which somehow connects to other worlds through wishes and dreams and magic. How do you know about Jareth but not the Underground?
I only know what Korea's told me, and she doesn't know much either.
How are you doing this?
I wanted to learn more, so I did a lot of research and tried some methods which are supposed to work for talking across worlds. I guessed I came from another world. There don't seem to be any elves here, though there are others like me who are like changlings.
Yes. They're sent out by King Jareth to humans - usually - to help them with some sort of problem. All of you originally come from the Underground, and had some sort of life here before, theoretically. All of us, I should say.

I lived with a sorceress for a while. I picked some things up. This goes more smoothly when done properly, doesn't it?
Yes, much more smoothly. What are you doing that's different?
That doesn't matter, particularly. I don't think my method can be replicated in your world. The Underground is saturated with magic, and your world isn't really.
Tell me more about the Underground. Will I return there automatically when I grow again? Will I grow again?
You will grow once more, I believe. You're in your third stage of life, yes? Orb, undera, and you're now a corsea. Next you'll become a coursier and you'll earn entrance to the Goblin King's court.
Will I be pulled back to the Underground then?
I don't know. I was not raised in a human world. I was raised here, in the Underground. But I know many choose to come back here. We can apparently cross between worlds with relative ease.
That's interesting. Could I come to the Underground, then?
I know of others who have done so on the strength of a dream, and also on the power of a wish and prayer. You might attempt the same. I usually travel by more conventional magical means.
I'll try it, but I can't control my dreams, so maybe I'll have to try to wish myself there. How do I go where you are?
