Anna as certain she had never spent this much of her free time among people in her entire life- and that was saying a lot for a recovering drug addict. Children were definately over-rated. She shifted the heavy sports bag on one arm and attempted to keep a hold of Shayleigh with her other hand, which left no hands free to pull out her wallet to pay the attendant, who incedently was just standing there like an idiot not even offering to help the obviously distressed young mother in front of him. The redhead finall decided on the lesser of two evils and dropped the bag, she fished her wallet out of her pocket and threw the money at the cashier.

She finally managed to get Shayleigh down to the change rooms and into her bathing suit ith minimal struggle and then with a stern warning let go of the girls hand to put on her own suit.

Shayleigh for once actually listened, she spent the few minutes look at around her- well in all honesty looking in the mirror at herself. She had picked her own bathing suit out, it had been the prettiest in all of the stores they had went to. It was a pink one piece, Anna wouldn't let her get a two piece, with cute ruffles around the leg holes and around her waist. Her guardian was taking entirely to long, Shay turned from her meticulous inspection of herself and pulled on Anna's leg- her arms ere busy tying her suit around her neck, "Want swim!" She demanded.

Anna laughed and scooped the toddler into her arms, "Alright lets swim." She carried her out of the locker room and onto the deck, putting her don beside the shallow pool designed for young children.

With an excited whoop Shay raced into the water making big waves and only slightly smaller splashes.

Lizzi was angry with Frank. The big man had wandered off with Eric and had left Dalal at the shallow pool. HE was the one who was intended to play the father role and now he just dumped the little girl here and left his roommate to play with her.

Dalal didn't seem to mind though as she turned to Lizzi. It had been horrible enough for her to be taken into the men dressing room at first and hadn't stopped screaming until Lizzi picked her up and went into the family room with her. Now everybody seemed to think she was her mother anyway.

"Can we go again?" Dalal asked as she looked at the playing children. She was wearing a green boxer, because all the bathing suits hadn't matched her behind. The boxer had received a hole and now she was able to wobble around properly. A small tanktop for swimming purposes completed her freaky look. Lizzi hadn't even tried to make her get off the strange helmet thing she was wearing. It wasn't even sure if it WAS a helmet at all.

"No, Dalal. Why don't you go and play? Like that girl there!" Pointing at Shayleigh the woman smiled friendly. Dalal didn't seem to be so happy about the comparison and sat down at the pool's side, feet dangling into the water.

She had to make that girl stop so she couldn't be compared any longer. "Hey! You! Stop!"

Shayleigh had been playing with a small purple ball throwing it to her guardian and then chasing it through the shallow water when Anna's aim was off- which it most often was. Her play was interrupted by a sharp commanding voice and she froze in the water. Who? She whipped her head around to spot a rather angry looking little girl with an odd behind. How dare she?! Getting in the way of her play! Or perhaps she just wanted to play too! Shayleigh's scowl became a smile and her tail wagged as she lifted the ball and chucked it at Dalal. "Pway too?"

Anna chuckled and sat down in the warm water, apparently her young charge had found someone better to play with. She didn't mind really, their game of catch had resemebled fetch more than anything and she didn't want people think she was demeaning the puppy girl.

Dalal's eyes turned to the purple ball before flicking back to examine Shayleigh. She didn't seem like she wanted to stop and she had some teeth that looked a bit dangerous.

The mantis girl screamed as the ball was chucked at her, but she managed to catch it. Actually it bumped against her belly and the small hands managed to get hold of it. "Play? Umm...."

She didn't want to get in that water, because it was so much and she didn't enjoy water so much. It had been a stupid idea to come here. "I throw it?" Dalal offered and glanced at Lizzi. Hopefully the woman wouldn't force her to go into the water.

Shay clapped her hands together in delight. Yay new friend! Granted, perhaps one that was afraid of purple, or balls...or gods forbid both! She slpashed through the water towards the strange looking girl still grinning. THe girl had lots of limbs that intrigued her and she needed a closer look to determine if they were real or just part of a costume.

Her thoughts almost distracted her from the bug-girls words. "Yes! Throw!"

Dalal frowned. The grinning made her feel uncomfortable. Her feets tried to make little circles on the water's surface as Shayleigh moved closer. "Alright."

The mantis girl hadn't thrown many things before. Mostly she kicked away stuff she didn't like and sometimes she threw away her blanket. That's it. A ball was a completely different matter.

That's why it landed right in front of Shayleigh with a splash. Oops, Dalal thought but didn't dare to pronounce it.

Water splashed up and blinded the puppy child for a moment. She blinked the drops out of her eye lashes and then giggled. Oh yay, splash fight! Wipping her dripping face, she bent down to pick up the ball. Shay completely missed how concerned her new friend was. It was all a part of the game for her- of course it didn't help that as soon as a ball entered the picture all semblance of thought flew right out of her head.

She lobbed the ball back at the girl, aiming this time for the water just in front to create a similar splash. She certainly hoped the bug girl liked swimming, but in all fairness she had started it- not mention she was at a pool. Who came to a pool if they didn't like to swim. Shay's mind was running in tangents quite obviously as she stared at Dalal.
