hey, im not having a go at people, but why are there so many fanfics about MCR that involve Gerard's drinking. like dont get me wrong, the fanfics are really good, and some of them that i like involve his drinking. but seriously, i think we need to back up a bit on it. i find it a bit disrespectful that we keep talking about it. its his life and he's dealing with it. let me know what you think....

I also agree that its not right to have fanfics about his drinking problems (or lack thereof. yay.)
BUT!
I dislike fanfics about real people in general. I think fanfics about books, movies, tv shows, etc. are fine because none of the people depicted there are real. fanfics about real people just seem to personal for me and unless you know that person, I don't think its okay to pretend to know how they'll behave.

Do you have any links or pages where these good fan fics are? I found one good one, but most of all the others I've found are in bad taste... One had a Merard... It was wrong!!!! (Merard= Gerard + Mikey.... OMFG)

I agree that it is disrespectful to have a lot of fanfiction about Gerard's former alcoholism and drug abuse. I mean sure, we can't pretend that it didn't happen, but we don't have to dwell upon it. Maybe a chapter in a story that is about it is okay, but fanfics that completely revolve around it are pretty hurtful to him, almost making him seem like less of a good person.
And yeah, it is difficult to gague how a real person would react given a situation, but it's fanfiction. It's your world and they behave how you want.
