A champagne and froth body was laying in the sun, the lioness watching a small chocolate form hunting bugs. Rajua marveled at her daughter's capacity for hunting so young-- with practice, she'd be excellent at it, but currently, she was, as any cub... Somewhat amateur.
The tiny cub growled softly, missing a butterfly, and advanced on a lizard. The reptile saw he move, sand bolted, the cub rocketing out after. She'd kill it yet!

Moto had done something she hadn't done in a while...she'd gone back towards a place she'd been before. She was hoping to see Rajua again, check up on her somewhat. She'd left the other lioness a lot to think on, and wondered if any of it had sunk in. The lioness of sunlight and shadow and blood shook herself as she walked. Stupid bugs, kept trying to eat at her.
And then a lizard bolted between her legs, causing her to stop and look between them at the retreating reptile. Usually they avoided her...
Aveil tore after the lizard, little legs working as hard as they could to persue the lizard.
"'CUSE ME!"
The small cub called, and she bolted after-- instead bolting into Moto, and squaling in surprise, looking up.
Rajua had gotten up when her cup fled, and padded after, paws traipsing over. Seeing her daughter safe, Rajua smiled, padding over. Seeing Moto, the female was suprised.
"Hullo..." She said, quietly.

Moto was surpised by the little brown cub, blinking at the little one before smiling. When she heard a familiar, rather soft voice, she looked further up and brightened a little more.
"Rajua! I was hoping to see you again!" She motioned to the little one. "Is she one of your cubs?" The little female was darker than Rajua...but there were little similarities. Like their eyes.
Rajua smiled meekly, nodding and smiling.
"Yes. She takes after.. Her father."
Aveil circled Moto idly, then sat at her paws, trying to determine her status with her mother.

Moto smiled. "She's a gorgeous cub. And I believe she's got quite a lot of you in her as well." She looked down to the cub. "Hello there. I'm Moto'nyota, though you can call me Moto if you want. What's your name?" Though she knew parents often got annyoed at her for that...she knew most cubs were proud of saying their own name.
"I'm Aveil." She looked smug.
Rajua smiled, settling. She didn't mind if Moto wanted to speak to Aveil too. It helped boost her daughter's confidence....

"A beautiful name for an equally pretty cub." Rajua would have her hands full when her daughter started gaining an interest in boys. "So...I believe I interrupted your lizard-hunting...I'm quite sorry for that." She laughed softly. "Though you certainly gave it quite a run for its life."
She looked back to Rajua. "And how have you been since I last saw you?"
"I've been... OK."
Did she want to mention Zimwi...? Probably not-- she was afraid to. She settled, smiling a bit.
Aveil shrugged.
"More lizards out there?"
She stretched, looking up.
"Do you hunt lizards?"

Moto nodded. "That's good, Rajua." She turned to Aveil and chuckled. "Quite a lot. Lizards are much like bugs...they're everywhere, you just have to look hard. They like hiding under rocks and in old logs and trees." She shook her head at the cub's second question.
"Not since I was a little older than you. They got a little too small to feed me. But they are always fun to watch scamper about."
"You can EAT lizards!" Aveil looked amazed. "How?"
Rajua smiled, laughing a bit. "Big ones you may." Rajua smiled to Moto.
Rajua smiled, laughing a bit. "Big ones you may." Rajua smiled to Moto.
Moto blinked, a little surprised. "Yes. Though...I supposed some are too pretty to eat. I saw one once with beautiful scales that looked like a rainbow." She smiled. She always hoped to see that lizard again. She returned Rajua's smile. "Met anyone new?"
"...No..." Rajua blinked. Aveil smiled.
"Uh huh! He was white, an' pretty!" Aveil moved a bit, shifting paws and dancing a bit.

Moto raised an eyebrow. "Really? Was he nice?" Moto hoped so. Rajua's reluctance to share made her a little uncomfortable. But...Rajua was also a rather quiet lioness. So it could have just been Rajua being...well, Rajua.
"Yah!" Aveil smiled a bit, setlling before looking up.
"Are you my auntie?"
Rajua raised an eyebrow a bit. AUNT? Aveil seemed to liki Moto though, the idea was... Suprising to the older lioness. Aveil seemed happy, at least.

"That's goo-Aunt?" Moto was caught off guard by the question, blinking at Aveil. "Afraid not, Aveil. I'm a friend of your mother's." She looked to Rajua, asking with her expression if she had said the right thing. Moto considered Rajua a friend...and she hoped the other lioness thought of her the same.
Rajua moved, less timid this time, and lay, grooming her daughter.
"Not aunt, lovely. Good friend."
The lioness purred.
