((This role play is being moved from Syn's fortress to here.)) Faunia
It had been so long, perhaps too long, or possibly not long enough, since Tynan's piercing golden eyes looked down upon the keep from the pale, blood-drained sky. He could see it now with such ease that familiarity had granted him. He could remember the day, so very clearly, when he flew away from this place, with every intention of returning. And indeed, he had returned. But who would have known that it would have taken this much time? Yes, perhaps he had been away from this place for too long...
Tynan soared effortlessly as the wind carried him on outspread wings. The sun glistened as it reflected off his chiming chains; chains that were as old as memory itself. However, unlike the first time he had come across the fortress, he was not alone. And he was glad for it. He glanced over his shoulder, to be sure that his beloved Shu Fang would be close behind him. Yes, this time his life within the fortress would be different. Completely different. Tynan wondered if even the Great Syn himself had forgotten him.Stormbreaker7 Shu Fang flew closely behind Tynan. She smiled as she saw the great fortress before them. Yes, now she would finally have a way of preventing the tragedies that happend to her from happening to others. Truly, this was the right path for her to take. Now she was with Tynan too. Things would not go wrong on this path. Not this time....
She swooped down lower to try and get a better look of the land around her. "Were almost there, Tynan," She said and spun in the air once in a dive. The antipaction made her excited.

((Sorry! I guess I had thought that I had already replied or something. @-@ I'll reply now. ))
"Yes," he said in agreement, clicking his beak in a pleased manner, "We're almost there. Soon you'll get to meet the great Syn." He smiled at Shu Fang as she swooped about excitedly. It was so good to see her so happy. Seeing her like this seemed to erase any fear that Tynan had about his past... about his younger self in this place. Having her there reassured him, made him feel more confident that this time things would be a little different. Better.
Tynan swooped down, looking over his shoulders once to make sure that Shu Fang was following, before he dove into the ocean of trees below them. He glided for a moment before landing firmly on his feet. He glanced behind him once again, before leading Shu Fang forward, to the enterance to Syn's fortress that stood proudly before them.

Shu Fang landed behind him, folding her wings gently on her back before following the male silently. Her head turned to look at everything around her. The structure looked manmade. Her beak clicked as she thought about it. It was odd to think Syn would use such a building, but the place did look intimidating. One could feel very small if they didn't know that inside awaited a great leader who only wished to help her and kimera like herself.
She quickened her pace so she was right beside Tynan. Shu Fang kept her head up high while she still studied the place with the corners of her eyes. Her tail slowly swished behind her, like it always did when she felt content and happy. However, her facial expression remained serious.

Two raptor guards were on gate duty. A raptor, a newbie as a guard, growled as he saw the griffins approach. "Look it 'em... so calm and confident..." The other raptor smirked. He was much older than the other raptor. Older by far. "That would be Tynan. I would feel pretty confident to if I walked beside him. He's an old friend..." The other rator's eyes widened," What, Ryuzaki?!"

(( Um... is Ryuzaki a name...? sweatdrop -is confused- ))
As Tynan walked, her folded his wings neatly at his sides. His head was held high as he looked upon the fortress once again with a gaze filled with memory. It was strange. The first time he had walked up to the feet of this fortress he had been so different; young and reckless, maddened by pain and grief from the fresh wounds of his disdrought heart. Since then he had matured, calmed, grown wiser everyday, and had been able to seal up those scars. It was amazing how much he had changed while the fortress seemed to stay exactly the same, as if stuck in time.
His chians chimed loudly, as if calling out to the fortress itself. Tynan's ears perked forward in surprise at the sound of his name being uttered by the older guard's maw. He paused before the two guards, his silver chains glistening with pride as the sun's rays reflected off of them. He brushed his tail briskly above the dusty earth and seemed to be standing prouder now. He looked to the older raptor, clicked his beak in greeting, before saying, "It's been a while, hasn't it? I'm surprised that you recognize me at all." A smooth smile spread across his face as he glanced at Shu Fang and back at the older guard.

(( Yes. :/ I thought it would be helpful.... since he's an old raptor Tynan might know him..... x_x;; ))
The older guard nodded. "Who could forget that face and chains? You're not a hard one to forget, Tynan. Surely you have little idea who I am... I wasn't a big deal back then and ain't now either...." He chuckled and stepped out of the way. "No questions needed. You and the girl can pass." The other raptor growled. He had little idea what was going on, but his comrad seemed almost reckless.
"The girl too, Ryuzaki?"
Shu Fang watched quietly. She found the younger guard amusing. "Seems you've made a name for yourself with the older members, Tynan..." She said and chuckled.

(( Okay, just making sure. Thanks. And I like the name. wink ))
A smile spread across the griffin's maw and he bowed his head polietly to the older guard, saying in a smooth tone, "Thank you, Ryuzaki. And of course I remember you. You never were one to recieve you deserved credit though, and I'm sorry to see that that hasn't changed. Even though I was probably too young to be an officer back then, you always accepted my ideas."
((Is it okay that I did that??!?! @-@ ))
Tynan looked back to Shu Fang, his eyes flooded with proud pleasure. Even so, he shrugged modestly and replied, "It seems I have... More so than I would have thought." Tynan glanced to the younger rator guard, this time with a harder gaze. Not a harsh gaze, however, simply on of a certain leader, a gaze that he had pulled out from his earlier years. "Keep up the good work," he said cooly. He gave Ryuzaki one last nod before finally leading Shu Fang into the fortress. There was so much he had to rebuild upon. Where he was suppose to begin, though, he had no idea.

Ryuzaki smiled and watched Tynan go. "Nice to see you again, my friend. We shall continue to work hard." He glared softly at the younger raptor who cringed. "Do not be rude. All are welcome in Syn's home who follow the right path. Don't forget that."
Shu Fang smiled and caught up enough so she was walking along side him. She reached her beak over to preen one of his feathers real quick. "I should of guessed you would be famous around here. I'm sure you've done many great things here. I'm proud." She clicked her beak happily and looked around. The frotress looked even more impressive inside. The towers loomed over them and kimera were walking around, some hurrying and some simply strolling. A few of the older ones paused to look at Tynan. Some of them seemed to know exactly who he was and some wondered why he looked familliar, most likely because they were too young to really hold his face in their memories when they first laid eyes upon them. Syn's army had grown. There were more new faces than old.

Tynan shrugged at her words, not completely conviced by them. "How would have you guessed? I didn't even realize that I was so recognizeable." He smiled, brushing his wing against her neck tenderly. He was glad to hear that, in this moment, she was proud. Deep down within his heart, Tynan knew that she was the only one who he truely tried to please. But at the same time, his stomach churned as he wondered what she would think if she knew the entire story.
But he didn't think about that, not right now. He was amazed by the number of kimera who seemed to recognize, as well as the amount of kimera that he recognized. He was amazed that they were all still here, right where he had left them. He would have to catch up later. "So," he thought allowed as he spoke to Shu Fang, "I know that when a new member is joining, they have be accepted in, but I also know that even though many newcomers try and talk to Syn himself, it rarely happens, simply because he is so busy. And I'm really not sure where I'm suppose to go to have you accepted as a member...." He cocked his head and pondered as his golden eyes searched about for any answers. He wondered if any of the leading followers were aroudn, or if they would even recognize him. "I became a member in a rather... interesting way, shall I put it?"

"Not many kimera walk around in chains dear..." She mumbled and clicked her beak a bit. It was an awkward thing to have your mate walk around in something that reminded him of his past girlfriend. She could understand why he did it, but it still was bothersome. "You stand out like a swore thumb either way," She teased and swished her tail.
She watched him as he spoke, her eyes wideneing slightly after hearing the last bit. "Interesting? Sounds interesting alright..." She said. She waited a moment to see if he wanted to tell her. She already saw some kimera heading towards them, but she decided to stay quiet about it till he finished speaking.

((If you want me to get Tynan's chains removed, that's not going to happen. 0.o -loves Tynan's chains WAY too much to get them taken off- That is why I made him so set-minded on keeping them on in the first place. 3nodding ))
Tynan looked to Shu Fang and perked his ears as he read the look of curiosity on her face. There was no use hiding it, Tynan knew that. Not that it was a problem. Tynan would trust Shu Fang whole-heartedly with his life. It was so easy to talk to her now. "Yes, well. I was a reckless, stubborn young griffin then." He looked away for a moment, watching a flag flap openly in the wind. ((Do they have flags? 0.o)) "While searching for Syn's fortress I discovered a reckless pack of raptors and a carilape. They were rather close to the fortress and I thought they were a possible threat... When I came to Syn's fortress I reported them and lead some of Syn's men to the packs location. They counted that as my test of membership. I sort of used information as a bargaining chip to get me in here." He paused and looked back to Shu Fang with slightly concerned eyes. In a smooth tone, he added, "But like I said, I was young, stuborn, and reckless back then."
((Is it okay that I keep making stuff up of Syn's fortress, even though you're the keeper of the almighty Syn? @-@ ))

Shu Fang listened quietly to what Tynan had to say. He was hiding something. He knew him well enough to see that now. There was so much about him she still didn't know. He probably didn't even realize she could tell that much. However, Tynan didn't know all about her past either, especially about what happened with those human traitors. She didn't want to share yet either, so it wasn't fair to pry. "I see..." She said and looked over Tynan's shoulder to see the sepopard coming over. "We have company, Tynan."
The sepopard stopped in front of Tynan. "There has been talk about you. You've been supposed to meet Syn. He wants to "catch up" or something and has made time for you. I'd feel honored...."

Okay. If I go too far with the making up of stuff though, please stop me. X.x ))
Tynan's ears perked as Shu Fang looked over his shoulder and he turned his head. His golden eyes quickly spotted the serpopard that approched them, knowing that he was going to direct them by the directness of his pace and gaze. Tynan turned himself around on his feet to completely face the serpopard and give him his full attention. His expression was firm and focused. Business-like. When the serpopard had passed the message Tynan couldn't help but grin and click his beak in slight amusment. It was all to hide the surprise within him. How long had he been here? It couldn't have been more than a few minuets. Tynan was far more memorable than he had thought for word to travel that quickly. Not to mention that Syn's methods of communication within the fortress were suddenly extremely efficiant. Tynan was both shocked and impressed.
Tynan nodded polietly before adding, "Thank you for the message. I assume that Syn is in his quarters, yes?"

The sepopard nodded. "Bingo smart stuff. He be there. I'm supposed to be an escort of some sort for ya too. Follow me if you want. Tis easy ta get lost 'round 'ere." The sepopard was about to turn around to start leading the other, but Shu Fang caught his eye. "Who be the girl there? Syn said nothing about wanting to see her." He tilted his head. His snake like tongue came out and hissed, not in a threatening way. He looked more like he was thinking and trying to think things out.
Shu Fang bowed her head. "I am Tynan's mate. If Syn does not wish to see me I'll wait here. I do not wish to burdern the meeting..." She looked up again at the sepopard. "Is there a place I should go for the time being? I'm not sure what a new member is supposed to do here. I am honored to be here at all actually..."
( Sorry that was short on Shu Fang's part... x.x; *has stuff on her mind right now* ))
