As dawn breaks over the trees there is a loud commotion at Think's shack. The door bursts open and think runs in, carrying an injured Temeo female.
"Oh god, what happened to you?" Think asks as he lays the injured female on the table. Getting no response, he goes through his cabinets, looking for different herbs and berries he could use to try and heal the tem's wounds. "Was there a fight? Or did you just run into a Goliath Rat?" he muttered to no one in particular.
"W-who.." the female tem tried to ask, but the pain she was in kept her from finishing the question..
Smiling slightly, Think looked at his "patient". "I'm Think. I found you in the forest. But right now, just lay still," he says as he walks back over, tending to and dressing the wounds. Spreading a paste he made over the cuts of the wild tem, wincing as she yelps. Soon he finishes and steps back. "There, you should heal up soon. Now, can you talk?" He asks, looking worriedly at the injured female.
"My name's... I don't have a name.." she says softly, feeling slightly sullen. "And no, I don't remember what happened. All I remember is you," she says again, looking up at Think.
Think smiles and looks back down at her. "Well, you need a name. Hmmm.... You kinda look like a Shaman... Hey, that's it... How about Shammy?" he asks, grinning.
She just nods and lays her head back down, seeming content for now.

While the injured tem rests, Think wanders around. Looking pensive, he paces around, wondering what could have happened. Who would hurt such a pretty Temeo? Why were there no other tracks around where he found her? Was she part of the other pack? What was the pack's name again?

Waking up after a long night of worry, Think looks at the clock. "Oh, crap! El's gonna be here any minute an' I told her that I'd make her breakfast!!" he shouts at no one in particular. Hurriedly getting up, he starts sniffing his clothes to find any that are clean. "Holy hell I need to do laundry," he mutters before putting on the least smelly clothes he can find.
During this commotion Shammy only stirs slightly, still deep into her sleep.
Not noticing Shammy and completely forgetting about the mess he made in an effort to get her all patched up, Think sets about getting breakfast together. Gathering all the eggs, cheese, spices, sausage and tortillas he'd need, he soon starts cooking a wonderful smelling breakfast. Unfortunately, the amount of food he was making looked like it could feed a small army.

"Think?" Elros called, shifting D.W. so she could knock at the front door. When she didn't get an answer, she let herself in and peeked around the door.
"Jesus! What the hell happened in here?" she cried, seeing all the blood and the heavily bandaged female wild.
"Think? Think?" she yelled, rushing further into the house, the bottle jiggling in her arms. If she'd been thinking, she would have noticed the smell of breakfast and went to the kitchen right away. But, instead, it took her a moment to work her way to the kitchen where she found her boyfriend, busily frying up eggs and sausage. Little did she know that her haste had 'woken' D.W....
"Kahisssssspop!" went the liquid in the bottle and then the whole affair slipped from Elros' nerveless fingers and fell to the floor with a dull tinking noise. Lucky the bottles were designed with such an occurrence in mind and made to withstand a fall, ne?
And, without further adieu, the golden liquid began to heat and bubble furiously before suddenly converting to gas and slowly leaking from the bottle's spout.
Awestruck, Elros watched as the vapor materialized in the form of a tiny winged kit.
"Oh, D.W.! Welcome!" the catgirl hooted.

Hearing the commotion of Elros entering and the bottle popping and forming into a young wild, Think turns around. "Hey El!" He says smiling and looks at the brand new kit. "Welcome to my home.... Oh CRAP!!" he shouts, suddenly remembering the injured female tem he had sitting out on the dining table. Quickly he hurries to her and starts checking the bandages. "How could you forget about her you dipshit..." he mutters to himself.
"It's ok..." Shammy whispers softly, trying to get up. With Think's help, she manages to stand up very tenderly, obviously in pain. "I'll be alright for now, but I think your lady friend is of more concern at the moment," she chides him.
Think nods, then runs back into the kitchen, suddenly remembering the food on the very hot surface and his guests who are probably very hungry.

In the middle of all the chaos, Elros bent down and scooped D.W. into her arms. Taking a moment, she nuzzled the newly vaporized kit, purring softly in the back of her throat.
"Mum?" he asked, remembering a word he'd heard while still in his bottle. For some reason, he felt like it applied to this person.
"Aww, that's right sweetie. I'm your mum," she told the kit, giggling as Think rushed passed her on his way back into the kitchen to see to the food.
Amused, the catgirl turned and went out to the living room to speak to the unfamiliar wild.
"Excuse me, but could you maybe shed some light on what happened? Think seems busy," she said, nodding her head toward the kitchen while trying not to laugh outright at the colorful swears and crashes she could hear coming from it.

"OW! CHRIST THAT HURTS!!" Think shouted, amongst other various colorful comments, forgetting the very young tem in the other room. Soon the clanging came to an end, followed soon by the smoke alarm. "That means it's done right?" he calls again, hoping El doesn't come in and see him fixing up a slight burn on his upper arm. "How the hell did I get that there?" he mutters to himself...
The female wild just grunted at Elros, not intending to respond, eying the door. While thinking of escape, she also thought about the man who saved her from the forest. "Could this oaf really be the one who worked so hard last night?" she muttered to no one in particular. "This place has become too crowded," Shammy declares and starts heading out, hoping the strange cat lady who addressed her wouldn't notice...

Elros shook her head at Think's shouts but her violet eyes caught Shammy trying to leave.
"Hey wait, you. I asked you a question," she said, casting a disapproving look over the female wild. None of her 'children' ever behaved so rudely.
"You could at least tell me your name before your run off."
"Tell me y'name 'fowe ya wunned off," D.W. parroted from the cat girls arms, not knowing any better.

Think stumbles out, trying to hide his wounds from El. "Hey, where're you goin'?" he asked the female wild.
"It's too crowded for me here," Shammy said to think then turned to El. "If you must know my name is.... Shammy," she says with a slight grin."
"At least stay for breakfast. I've made too much for me, El, and her new kit. Waaay too much," Think says grinning. Hoping to be able to ask the female wild about what she remembers.
"I'm not hungry. I.... I have a lot to think about. Oh, and as to what you asked me last night sir... I was banished from the Koru..." She declares and walks off...
"Come back soon Shammy. I'm still gonna need to change your bandages..." Think says, hoping she hears him.

Elros listened to the exchange between dog-boy and wild with perked ears and a curious expression. At the mention of the Koru, Elros' feelings toward Shammy immediately softened. The wild had led a hard life..
"It was nice meeting you, Shammy. I'm sorry for being pushy," she called after the large tem, feeling guilty. She shouldn't have been so prying.
D.W. looked up into his mum's face and pouted slightly, wondering why the catgirl seemed suddenly down. Resolving to make her smile, the kit squirmed in her arms so he could nibble and lick at her chin.

The dog-boy just stood there in disbelief. "K-Koru? They're getting a little far from their territory aren't they?" He asked, not expecting any answer. Sighing he just turned to his favorite cat-girl and says, "Guess we should just eat breakfast. It's looking like the little one's getting impatient."
Shammy walks far enough away until they could no longer her, but still close enough that she could watch the strange people. Her eyes kept going back to Think.
"Why would he help me? How could that bumbling idiot have known how to heal such deep wounds as I had overnight?" She asked herself. Sitting down slowly, still feeling sore, she takes a mental note of all the wounds, yes, most of them had healed and scabbed over slightly. Shaking her head, she just watches the people in the shack. Sighing, she looks on , she could feel a choice hanging in the air, but all her options were unknown to her at the moment...

Waking up the next day, Think yawned and looked at the clock. Where was Shammy? he thought to himself. Bleary eyed, he tried to look around and remember when El had left. Shaking his head, he tried to think about where Shammy might be. He jumps when there's a knock on the door. Getting up, he walks over to the door and opens it, jaw dropping.
Sotty looks up at think. "Woof. You neeed a breath mint dude," he says while waving a paw in front of his nose.
Nightingale beats Scotty about the head furiously. "That. Is. NOT. How. You. Act. When. You. Are. Begging. For. FOOD!" She yells haltingly as the hits Scotty with all her might. Not noticing that Think is trying hard to not burst into laughter.
Turning to the dog-boy, she bows her head and says, "I'm sorry sir. My idiot brother has no tact. So unfortunately, I now have to ask. Do you have any food to spare? We're so far from Akea, and have no home or food to sur---" She seems startled when Think just holds up a hand to stop her.
Think just walks in, leaving the door open as an invitation to the Anthro tems. He slowly heads back into the kitchen to see if he has any food for them.
"What are you guys doing so far from Akea?" He asks, genuinely concerned about their safety. Searching around, all he can find is some cookies and somefixings for PB&J's. He walks out to find them standing in the middle of his living room. "Sorry, but this is all I have. You kinda got here right before I went shopping," he says, handing the food to the Anthro pair.
"COOKIES!" Scotty yells, and attacks them with gusto.
Nightingale just shakes her head, resisting the urge to beat the male anthro to death. "This is more than we ever should have asked for," she says while bowing her head low, feeling morose.
"We got kicked out of Akea, and have been looking for a place to stay."
"You can stay here if ya want," the dog-boy offers, "'tho I'm also expecting another to show up." He scratches the back of his head, chuckling slightly, not knowing if Shammy would ever return.
Shammy walks slowly back into the shack. "Sir?" Is the only way she can think of to announce herself. "I--I'm sorry that I took off last night. I just..." At this point is all she couldn't find anymore words.
Looking around at all the tems in his place. The anthros were staring at him, half hoping, half ashamed. Shammy just looked down, feeling lost. He nods and says to them all, "Welcome home."

"Ok,' Think says while looking over Shammy's now completely healed wounds, "I think you're ok. Maybe still a little sore, but that's to expected."
Shammy just nods and looks at Think. "I can't stay here forever can I?" She askes. Sighing slightly when think slowly shakes his head. "Thank you Think. Without you, I might've died," She babbles a little, not knowing where she'll go next.
Think looks at her and smiles. "You're always welcome here. But you do need to go out. Gotta explore. Oh, hey. Since there may be some... Unfriendly Tems out there, I made you this, just in case you need a little healing and I'm not there to pick ya up," He says, trying to still grin as he puts on the pack he made for her.
"TemAid?" the female wild asked, grinning at the implication. "Clever, Think. I doubt I'll need this, I don't plan on trying to go back--- There," she says 'there' with a tinge of hatred and shame.
"I know... I just want you to be safe while you're exploring. Never know what you'll find out there. Maybe the Oku?" he asks, looking slightly hopeful.
"YEAH! The Oku'll take you. I mean, you have operational knowledge of the enemy," Scotty pipes up.
"Scotty.... You're a idiot," Nightingale says, shaking her head. "The Oku are fairly peaceful. AND they're not likely to welcome the Koru. Remember from what we learned from Think? The bad blood?" she rasps, clearly distraught over the idea of Shammy trying to join the Oku.
"It is quite foolish. And I don't know if i'll be able to control my emotions there," Shammy says whistfully.
"Hey, here's a bright idea. Stay just one more night?" He asks, giving her the puppy dog eyes. Really not wanting to let her go exploring, and fearing for her safety, the dog-boy really wanted to her to stay.
"Yes yes! Stay, we'll party like it's 199--" scotty tries to say, but gets his head bashed in with Nightingale's mallet. "How the hell do you keep finding that?!" He yells, rubbing the back of his head.
"Find better hiding places, jackass!" Is all Night responds. Not wanting her to leave either, she turns her head to hide the tears.
Shammy laughs and nods, agreeing to stay one more night, but planning on leaving in the middle of the night so there won't be any goodbyes or distractions.
There's a loud racket as the dog-boy and his three temeo friends party through the night. Soon, all fall asleep as Think tells a loooong winded story about his computer game conquests and mad 5KI115.
Seeing her chance, Shammy slinks out the door quietly. On the porch, she looks out, wondering once again where to go.....

Having felt uneasy while sleeping, Think walks outside silently. He looks down and sees Shammy looking off into space. "So, what exactly happened between you and the Koru?" He asks her, wincing as she jumps up slightly.
"T-they didn't like some of my ideas. I proposed to try helping the Oka... Apparently that's treason," she answers, still looking out away from the shack.
"Foolish..." is all Think can come up with. Wanting to say something, but words failed him. He sits down next to the tem and pets her.
Shammy moves her head, still uncomfortable with that kind of gesture. "Where should I go?" She asks, speaking to herself more than to the dog-boy next to her.
Think just watches her. "Where could she go?" he asked himself. He looked out towards the land of Duhla. "The circle of Gaia?" he asks.
"No. Perhaps the Meadow of Battle. I always felt at ease there," She says, wistfully.
"The meadow of... But that's the Koru territory. Won't you be killed?!" Think exclaims, Think back to the night he found her in the forest.
"What other choice do I have?" Shammy asks before getting up and walking towards the forest...
