i really don't want to join b/c i don't like the whole military thing but i need a way to pay for college. I have scholarships but its for another school so that really doesn't help and financial aid is only 3,000 when I need about 17,500. I've been talking to an air force recuiter but I am trying to explore my opinions first

I was in the Army.
I say if you gonna join do something that would definitely benifit your future. I went Infantry and ******** up my shoulder and both my legs in Iraq. Try to do somethin that would keep you from endin up like that. Do your enlistment time and get out and do somethin good for yourself in the civilian world. GI Bill pays for college and everything so you could get out, collect unemployment, get school paid for, and get paid to go to school. Also, if you're in a relationship with someone don't expect it to work out while you're enlisted and try to stay away from serious relationships during enlistment. Trust me, it sucks.

That's just what they tell people.
They can't be on the front line because they are a distraction. Plus, the majority of them can't control their emotions in a stressful combat situation like a man could.
No offense ladies I love you all, pero a woman could ******** around and get a lot of people killed just cuz of their emotions.

Trust me, it sucks. i was thinking about doing that b/c if i get in a get the signing bonus and thats already money but if i join I'm going to probably do the reserves thing and if i go active then I'll get a desk job so I want have to fight
