After parting ways with the little God of Thunder, Dath had merely let himself become invisible to normal mortals. It was too risky to be in the Pridelands long, he thought, and he had decided to go on his way. Where, he hadn't a clue, and it was frusterating. He was so sick of this boredom! He needed something to do, but he wasn't quite ready to go back to Laana again. Though he felt so attached to her, he wasn't good at staying by her side. It almost irrtated him. Sometimes he thought that they were too similar, and conflicted too much. Blasted woman. Letting the illusion drop, now that he was past the majority of their borders, he resettled his wings on his back and looked around. Eh, quiet all out on the savannah as normal. Sometimes he wondered if it was his sister's doing, but he wouldn't have a clue. "Stupid lands," he grumbled, acting like it was it's fault that he was so bored.
Though Shisi had recently given birth to her own litter of cubs, she had had to take it upon herself to retun to hunting quite quickly. Her sister, as undyingly loyal Ainra was, had stuck true to her word and had gone out to get pregnant with her own litter as well. Given Ainra's rather delicate condition, Shisi had to help their leopardess companion with bringing home meals. One mother, one soon-to-be mother, and a healthy, strong leopardess ate quite their share of meat, even if two weren't quite fully grown. As it were, Ainra had managed to bring down a young gazelle that had gotten lost from it's brethren and now busied herself with dragging it home by the nape of it's bloodied neck. It was the rustle of wings that made her ears perk, for she knew the noise was too loud for it to belong to a small creature, and she let her head raise to survery her surroundings. What she hadn't expected to see here was the great hulking shape of the great god that had blessed her with her cubs, although, if she judged him correctly, that information was best left unsaid. Quirking a brow at him, she watched him for a moment, teal eyes following his movements. Then, as calm as possible, she sat herself down beside her kill, and let her little voice flow forward. "I don't think something unconscious can be stupid, although I do suppose the inhabitants are very much so for not presenting themselves for your entertainment." Her mouth curled into that little smirk that she was so known for, bordering on devilishness, but she simply sat there awaiting his greeting.
Dath hadn't noticed the lioness, one that was quite familiar to him. Odd, in that while he cursed the lands for leaving him full of boredom, they managed to give him something that he had wanted. "Shisi," he said, a hint of affection in his voice. He was pleased that she was still around, and even moreso to see her again. So good at what she did, it was something that he was always up for. A good talk, and compliments on him and what he was was something Dath always appreciated. "What a surprise to see you again." He didn't want to add on the pleasure part, mainly because he didn't think it was needed. He eyed the carcass of the animal next to her before giving her his full attention with a smile.
The faint trace of affection in his voice did not go unnoticed, not by one so observant, and the thought of having earned that from one such as Dath pleased her. It meant she had done something quite right, had fufilled some purpose, and pleased those who she served. It helped, too, that she did enjoy Dath on a personal level as well. "And you as well, Dath," she said affectionately in return, her tail flickering behind her as she watched him. "Here I am, hunting to bring my dear sister and companion a meal, and I come across none other than the god of chaos - quite the wonderful surprise indeed." She laughed lightly, glancing up at him through slightly lowered eyelids. "Might I ask what brings you this way?"
Dath ruffled his feathers again, moreso out of pure habit than need. He couldn't help it, as Shisi was a very unique mortal to him. Sort of like Laana, but carried herself different, and spoke differently as well. Not quite a 'follower', but not like a nearl equal as Laana was. He stared at her for a moment, trying to decipher just what she was. Ugh, no matter. He'd just speak to her a bit before going on his way. "Merely tickling my curiosity with the Pridelands. Found one interesting thing, but nothing of real use." His tail flopped behind him, curious as always with everything. "Slaving away for a meal, are you?" He was always greatful he never had to eat. He just did for the excitement at times. "I assume it's safe to guess you are the hunter of your group." He always seemed to pick the good ones. Hunting was something he loved, preybeast or lion alike.
Shisi never would have thought herself anywhere near equal that of a god or goddess. She was not quite a follower, by any means, more of a tool, a servant, a mortal who intended to carry out what she saw as their wish. She felt she had a purpose that she was born to fufill, set down by the gods, and as a loyal believer, she would serve their wish. She was a leader among her kind, so follower did not quite fit her. "I wouldn't say slaving," she said with a chuckle,"but I'm certainly the huntress of the group most of the time. Sometimes our other companion finds our meals when I am busy attending to more important matters, but it is always one of us. My sister, bless her soul, loyal as she is, has enough trouble feeding herself." She smirked, letting herself relax slowly, sliding down into a comfortable laying position reminiscent of the great sphinx.
Did he ever learn more about this sister of hers? His mind was fuzzy, as he was never one for details, especially with a first meeting, but perhaps she did. He didn't care too much, but the idea always made him humored. Never being one for sibilings, he couldn't imagine actually willingly staying with a sibiling. Wasn't everything much better when you were out on your own? "So it sounds like you're keeping yourself busy," he said with a wry grin, curious as to what she was up to. He refused to directly ask, so he would only have to hope that she picked up on his wish. If not, well, he would just have to try to find out later. Aaaah, screw it. "Anything that would humor me, Shisi?" He was bored, afterall, and running into her only entertained him for so long before he would want to go mess around elsewhere.

"I have indeed," she said softly, her eyes sweeping over him casually, her paw brushing over the short, stubby tail of the beast that lay beside her as she let her thoughts flow. "Although I'm not sure much of it would be entertaining to you. When is any mortal's life that important to a god?" She quirked an eyebrow, her bright eyes flashing as she returned the attention upon him and away from her the dead beast. "I did manage to rope a poor fellow into being somewhat of a servant for me and my companions," she said with a bit of a shrug, "if that's what you'd think amusing. Through feminine charm and a sweet tongue." She chuckled lightly, but shook her had, as if she were half sympathetic towards the male she had trapped. "His sympathy towards a pregnant lionesses plight makes him maleable, and we need him here for protection." She didn't need to spell that out for him, he would know her age, her sisters age, and being that her sister was pregnant and their other companion a leopardess, he'd know what chance a good strong pair of rogues stood against them. He might have been the god of chaos, but she wagered he knew that part of the game very well.
The god raised an eyebrow, but remianed silent for a moment. So, obviously between the time he had met her and now, quite a lot had been going on her in her life. Interesting, really, but it was actually a bit of a surprise to him. Did mortals always do so much in their little lives, so quickly? He had never taken much notice to the details, as they usually bored him. Laana had done a lot....too much, really, and if he ever saw that male he'd kill him on the spot, but they had been parted for much longer than he had wish Shisi. "Pregnant?" he echoed, raising his brow again. He hoped that he didn't mean anything with her....that wouldn't be too settling. He wouldn't care too much about and kids of his that didn't look like him, but if they did, it wasn't a good thing. That would be like leaving a perfect trail for Sei to follow him, know exactly what he was doing. Just the thought made his skin crawl. Damn goddess, always worming his way into his life to ruin it. He didn't listen too much about this other male, since he obviously was an idiot to let a female get the upper hand. Maybe if Shisi did have cubs herself, they were that lions and not his. Whatever, he didn't care.
"Pregnant and hunting? Why surely not," she spoke to the insinuating eyebrow raise, shaking her head lightly as if the entire idea was completely preposterous. It was not a lie to him, and thus no wrong against the gods in her eyes, even if it wasn't entirely the truth. Unless he asked, she wouldn't mention the four cubs resting comfortably back at the den with her heavily pregnant sister. "My dear sister, however, is quite heavy with a litter of cubs, and I could not offer her protection if some angry rogue came bursting in, so I found some for her instead." She had no idea if he would be happy or indifferent to the cubs that she had had by him, and chose not to mention it. His domain suggested his temperment might not always have been what it was with her, and even then, she knew little other of him. Gods ruled with little mercy sometimes. Even had little Tituba not looked so much like him, the boys took most of their traits from their father, and she had no idea from who her palest daughter took her likeness. There was no passing up those cubs were his, for though she knew she had given birth to them, they had been born strongly with his genes and not her own.
The god narrowed his golden eyes, but let it slide. He felt that she was hiding something, but he wasn't in the right mood to really argue over it. He was actually in a somewhat decent mood, and he certainly didn't want to bring up a conflict with one of the few mortals that he would actually willingly spend some time with. As long as this sister of hers and her whelps weren't around. Dath could barely stand cubs, always full of questions and whining and driving Dath crazy. "Always getting in to trouble," he grumbled with the idea of this 'dear' sister getting herself full of cubs. Females always seemed to do that to snare in males, goddesses and mortals both! He softened his look at Shisi, sure that she would never do anything like that. She knew better. In an odd moment, feeling quite proud of his little mortal, he took a step forward. "Need help?" She was softening him a bit, if not quite as much as Laana could. Dath could throw fits like a little cub, but he was still a sucker for someone that gave him everything he wanted.
"Well, she did it for me," she said with a soft smirk, pushing herself slowly to her feet and giving her body a little shake to rid it of the dirt that had collected while she lay where she was. "Cubs are a natural part of a mortal life, it keeps the species going, as we do all die sometime." She didn't feel the need to explain it much further to him, but she knew that there were differences in their thinking because of his immortality. Likewise, it was also a part of her plan, but she didn't have the time to sit and discuss that with him, nor did she need to delve into that further - as his cubs were a large part of it. At his offer of help, she had to admit she was quite surprised. Her brows quirked but a gentle smile did spread across her maw. "If you wouldn't mind," she said softly, and let her eyes drift to the carcass at her feet. She had to drag it for all she was worth, but she knew his strength would enable him to toss it about like a toy if he wanted. "I'm sure you'd be able to do this much quicker than I would, being so much stronger." She flashed him an appreciate smile, knowing that if he had been anyone else, she'd likely have been stubborn enough to do it herself. She didn't like to admit she was weaker than anyone, but then, he was a god - she knew she was weaker.
"Interesting," he said with a shallow voice. Do what for her, produce cubs? That idea sounded quite twisted, and he didn't know if he liked it or not. Perhaps...Shisi had some sort of plans, but if those included cubs, wouldn't she have some herself? Ugh, females! They never gave you a direct, blunt answer, and they always had other ideas in mind if they did anything for you. He gave her a suspicious look before taking more steps towards the carcass. With one smooth movement, he was able to get it up in his mouth, swing it a bit to get most of the weight on his shoulders and back so he'd still be able to talk a bit. SInce he was helping her carry this home, he could see where she was for now, and just what this dear sister of her's was actually like. He was always a bit nosey in mortal lives.

She watched as he swung the carcass up onto his back, choosing to let the previous conversation die. There was no use in talking about it more. Perhaps in years to come, he would come to understand her need for the cubs, perhaps he would hear of it, perhaps it would all simply become clear. For now, it was all better left unsaid. "This way," she said with a faint smile still lingering on her maw, turning herself in the direction she had been dragging the body of the gazelle previously. Her tail lashed behind her as she glanced over her shoulder at him, falling into a comfortable pace. She didn't need him going in the den - although she wasn't quite sure his hulking form could really fit in there if he wanted to. "I do hope you don't mind me saying, but it might be best if you didn't stand in view of the den, Dath. My sister has never seen a god before, especialy not one as large and intimidating as yourself, and she's not always the brightest firefly at night." She offered him an apologetic smile, turning her attention back towards the direction they were heading. "In her condition, surprise is an enemy I don't want to risk, and you are.. quite a magnificent creature." She didn't want to insult him by saying horrific, but she did realize he could be terrorizing if perceived by the wrong eyes.
After the carcass had slipped once, he moved it a bit more to be cradled between his wings, letting him not worry about it too much until he had reached her cave. He felt a sense of unease, but wrote it off as him being too nice. It was almost making him itch all over. So the last time he was going to do this, ugh! His ears slowly picked up the request that Shisi asked for. It irritated him. Here he was, doing this outwardly nice act for her, and she was going to not even let him get that close. He merely growled at her, obviously showing his displeasure in this stupid request, but not acting violent towards her. It was useless too, but as long as she knew that she might be standing over her boundaries and irritating them, then good. He wouldn't be so nice next time. Dath opened his mouth, only to offer one small statement. "You owe me for it then, Shisi."
She realized she was pushing her bounderies, especially when that growl escaped his maw. She made a note of it, knowing just how much now that she could and couldn't ask of him, should she ever run into him again. He did seem to care very little for the lives or whims of mortals, and though she couldn't blame him, she was pleased he cared enough to grant her wish. She paused then, turning to glance at him, teal eyes drifting up to him. Her den was visible, close, though they were at an angle from it where one could neither see into it or out from it. She didn't need her brainless sister rushing out here with her belly full of cubs - over excitement would harm her. Likewise, Dath probably wouldn't appreciate her, and she would likely mention Shisi's own litter. She couldn't have that. "Of course," she said calmly, dipping her head to him, her tail flickering behind him as a slow smile spread across her maw. "Although I'd have never denied you anything you asked of me to begin with."
Dath was surprised at the pause, and he himself stopped where he was, looking down at her with a curious look in his eyes. Were they here already, or did she just change her mind on him taking her meal home? He shifted his weight to one side, moving his wing so that the body of the preybeast crashed onto the ground with a sickening thud. He only offered her a nod at first, resettling his wings on his back. "Alright, then." His body was still tense, but he had no plans to do anything. She owed him a favor, and he'd come back to collect in the future. That was his plans, anyway. He flexed his claws in the earth, merely to relax himself. "Keep to your word," he said as a warning. He was good at dropping by unannounced.
The short distance that Dath had carried the prey beast for her would have taken twice as long at least for her to drag it, being that she was not of his immortal strength, and not even entirely grown for a mortal to boot. It might have been a small gazelle, but she was still a small lioness. As it was, he had done her a big favor, for her cubs took a lot out of her, and the energy he had saved her would be energy she could save. He didn't know it, but it helped greatly. That, and she couldn't refuse a favor he offered so freely, no matter how small. "I wouldn't dream of doing otherwise," she said politely, thought her smile still remained, still shone affectionately for the god that stood before her. "What could I hope to do if I defied you, mm? I'm no match for your power." She gave him a dip of her head, for she truly did need to get this meal back to Ainra. "It has been a pleasure, Dath, as before, and I look forward to when you come to see me next. Perhaps when I am not so preoccupied?" She flashed him those devilishly amused eyes before she moved to lean down and grasp her prey by the nape, beginning to drag it in the direction of the den.
The god snorted. Again. Whatever. He didn't feel like dealing with her anymore. He was teetering on the edge of loosing his patience, and he didn't feel like doing anything towards her of that type. He'd rather she stick around for a while, and willingly to him, than do something that he might regret in the future. With his own flick of his tail, he only nodded his head towards her, offering another small growl before swiveling around to walk away. He quickly felt that maybe flying would be a great way to burn off some of this irritation. Stretching out his wings, he gave them a few tentative flaps before dropping into a run, soon to carry himself up into the air and wherever the winds would guide him to go. Maybe he'd go 'home', to the God's Realm, as long as his sister wasn't anywhere near there.
