As soon as possible I will be starting a light, humorous roleplay set in a world of our own devising.

I will give the players a starting location and we will make the rest up as we go along.

You may play any character from any genre and any time period. When we've played this game in the real world some of the characters have been:

• A pacifistic neko paladin
  
• A shapeshifting catgirl that likes puppies
  
• A wandering beer salseman from the early- to mid- 20th century (or something like that; my memory's about as good as a dead elephant's)
  
• War Machine
  
• A Pirate captain and two of his crewmen

I would prefer that none of the first three be used except by the people who came up with them.

Absolutely anything goes but I reserve the right to reject overpowered characters.

So far there has been no consequential combat when I've run this game so not every (or possibly any) character needs to have combat capabilites. That doesn't mean that there won't be combat; there just hasn't been any in the past.

Sample Character

Name: Brianna She-Ari
Race: Elf
Sex: Female
Age: 200ish (she doesn't remember for certain)

Powers and abilities: Magic (healing and some elemental), herbalism, master of bow and sword, standard ranger skill-set

Appearance: 5'8" tall, thin but muscular. Long hair so black it looks blue when the light hits it just right; normally worn in a single braid. Extremely fair skin. Sapphire eyes. Wears earthy colors to blend into the forest.

History: Brianna's parents were killed defending their city from a human raid. Her grandmother escaped with as many of the children as she could. Brianna watched her parents fall as she fled and tried to turn back but two of the boys grabbed her and dragged her away. Feeling betrayed by the other children, she would frequently escape from the group and live by herself for a while. Somehow her grandmother always managed to find her and bring her back.

After her grandmother died she ran away for the last time and made a home for herself in Silvadeil Forest. She is now roughly 200 years old and has tried to forgive the humans that attacked her home and the elves that wouldn't let her die defending it. But the wounds run deep.
