Teleiophilia-an attraction to adults by minors. Not considered a paraphilia by the APA...
Call me sick if you want, but I am officialy a teleiophile. Often, I have sexual fantasies about adults, but never about kids my age...
I first figured out that maybe I wasn't "normal" in March, before my thirteenth birthday. While in school, I overheard a conversation about a "hot boy", who is about 12 now...
"Oh, hi Rebecca...don't you think Randsom is hot?"
"Ehhh....no..."
"What? How can you NOT THINK HE'S HOT?!?!"
"I'm just not attracted to him, that's all."
"Ewww...you must like old men or something."
Then at that moment, I realized something: She was right. I did like old men...but I didn't say anything for my sake.
Along came May, and I saw the person that I like again, and it spilled out all over middle school that I liked the band teacher. This might have been due to my reaction of seeing him...or something...
Several months later, or rather, present day, everyone knew. But that didn't mean I was safe. I started losing friends because it isn't "normal" to like older people. I felt terrible, and I told myself constantly that I should get over him and like a boy in my grade...
But it failed.
The more I told myself that I shoudn't love him, the more I did...
Don't get me wrong, I know how not right it is to like him...for one, he's an adult, and I really should listen to what people say...but it's been nine months since I first felt this way towards him, and nine months...for a "crush" is quite a while, now that you think about it...(September thirteenth is the ten month anniversary!)
I know I can't legally be with him until I'm an adult who's out of school, and I know the laws, nevertheless, people try to push me towards boys, but it doesn't help me one little bit. I simply can't force myself to like boys my age, no matter what people say...
Are you a teleiophile?
What are your opinions on this attraction?
Should it be considered a mental condition?

In fact, it doesn't bother me at all. Age is really meaningless in my eyes. Maturity defines that. People I have loved from when I was 15-16 ranged from 13-21 yo guys/girls. I liked older girls, though. Strange? Mehbe. I like slightly younger guys. Am I a *****? Nope...Just a year or two younger. So stop your retort now if you were going to type it, whoever you may be *points at the random argumenative reader out there*. xd The phrase "love is love" applies in all situations; thats as far as my opinions go on this.

The problem for me is, I can't really trust boys very well with something like...in my vuneralable state...a relationship, where I trust someone with everyrthing...
I guess it's because they're only just having puberty, and their hormones are out of control, but this situation could apply to adults, too...
Then again, people try to shove out this kind of relationship, referring to it as "gonna end in rape", but that doesn't ALWAYS happen.
Sadly the population would be harder on the adult than the minor. "He was clearly trying to get her at a vunerable state. Do you want these people running around, raping your kids?" When they're reffering to a minor/adult relationship without sexual contact.
We are basically ruled on "find someone your own age", so if your an adult who likes a minor, God forbid it, you're a loser *****. I think that's completely unfair, because there are minors about 14+ that are very attractive...girls, anyway...
Sigh...I can't even legally be with the person I love, in a way, they're trying to protect both of us...but in a way...they're killing me, it seems...

I prefer older women. I was 16 and dating a 23 year old. At the moment I'm seeing a woman who is 7 years older than myself. No idea why this is, I never planned to fall for older girls, they just turn out to be older than me.

I don't find it weird at all, attraction is attraction and I've been in your shoes before(although mine were just small, dumb crushes on older teachers and I've never had a crush on one of my male teachers.) I don't think it's all that odd, considering probably everyone goes through it. I know I do, which isn't really big considering that everyone drools over actresses/actors/famous people. Thats got to be some form of Teleiophilia, guys/girls going on about how hot this person is etc. I kinda prefer older partners though, them being a little wiser and more experienced, hopefully more mature, they would be better to come home to if something happened. Plus older people tend to be stronger 3nodding and thats always good. sweatdrop
