Someone on KU's boards has posted these very interesting snippets from Head's book Save Me From Myself, regarding JD's personal problems and rifts building with the band:
''Everbody in the media and in the industry had their eyes on us, and it was almost too much to bear. It was around then that Jonathan hit some very dark times, at least in part because he was the frontman and felt the pressure the most. He started drinking a lot of Jack Daniels, wich had a very negative effect on him and forced him into phases when he'd just cry and cry, all night long.''
''Jonathan had a bodyguard, named Loc, who basically put him on suicide watch because he would talk incessantly about killing himself. In addition to his drinking, he was struggling with anxiety, and so he saw a lot of doctors to try and treat his problem. Unfortunatelym none of them really helped him, but one day he found his miracle drug: Prozac, he started taking it, and he's been sober ever since.''
''we'd adjusted to the idea of being famous and overcome much of our anxiety surrounding our succes, but still, there were some divisions between members that remained, and these emerged when we went into the studio to record our fourth album, issues. At the time, it seemed like david was getting pretty distant, He didn't seemto be all that interested in putting time in the songwriting, and it bugged all of us, especially Jonathan and Fieldy. David, in turn was getting sick of them he and fieldy had never really gotten along that wel, ever since the LAPD days. (Munky and i were always the neutral ones in the band we tried not to take sides.) But davd wasn't the only problem. There were also issues with Fieldy. I meanm he had been my best friend for years, buyt even i was getting sick of him. With every album that passed, his attitude seemed to get worse and worse. He loved hip-hop, and so he was really trying to to live this big rapper lifestyle, but it was giving him a huge ego''
''No one ever wanted to get in an argument with Fieldy because he was just brutal when he argued. He would go for the jugular and say the most hurtful things he could just to win the argument''

That's all the time I have today to post osmething here.... but any thoughts?

>[When you put snippets like that together it makes it seem much bigger than it is lol. I have read Heads book, and it was actually very tastefully done. It does give a little deeper insight on inner workings of the band, but the book also didnt heavily dish on the dirt. As much as part of me is always interested on the inner KoRn dirt, another big part of me also likes the idea of allow to keep some of this important and personal stuff sacred and out of the public eye.]<

Yeah, I haven't read it myself since I can't find a damn copy here. I'm very interested now after reading that. I personally believe however, that Brian had no right to post things THAT personal about Jon. Lol, I know I'd be pissed if someone I confided in suddenly published a book about how one time all I talked about was killing myself O.o
Ah well... there's probably more to it; like I said, I've never had the chance to read his book.

You know what? I think they made a song Wake Up from Issue because of this. I was just listening to it and it sounded alot like what Head is talking about with Feildy, Jon, and David.

 >[Irene, you should see if you can pick up a copy of the book from amazon.com, or an Aussie equivalent. Its definately worth a read if you can get your hands on a copy. I plan on checking out his new book as well. As much as Ive lost nearly all my respect for him I cant deny that the books are interesting and for some reason I cant fully turn on my back on him.]<

Let me finish reading the book then (if it doesn't redeem itself) I'm gonna list all the things written in it that have pissed me off, like the way Head implies that he practically created the band!!!!! scream scream

I think the promise of Korny gossip is the main driving force of his book sales.

I think we should post snippets from his book.
there were some parts of the book that made him sound VERY homosexually inlove with god.
and then there were sad parts that i couldnt stop thinking about.
it was an alright book.
anyone read washed by blood yet?

LMFAO! "Homosexually in love with god" that's hilarious rofl
Man y'all feel free to post whatever snippets you want, I know I'll have a riot laughing at them razz
Also, I think people have said that Washed by Blood is exactly the same as Save Me From Myself, only watered down for the Christian kiddies who cry when they see the word "********" or "drugs".
