Antony waited to make sure everything was running smoothly before heading for the water. He hadn't been swimming in a while, and the weather was uncommonly warm for spring, just perfect for swimming. With that thought he started to wade into the water, forgetting, for a moment, that he might be joined. (And might even have to teach people how to swim.)

Having successfully escaped her mother's attempts at making her sing, Delilah still continued to look around suspiciously as she picked her way towards where the water lapped the sand. When her eyes caught sight of Antony, however, she relaxed and brightened with a smile. She considered hollering for him but decided it was both rude and unladylike, things she knew the older boy didn't approve of. So, instead, she slipped off her brilliantly pink flip flops and padded the rest of the way barefoot. Once close enough, she lifted a hand to wave and called softly, "Hello, Antony."

Antony turned, blinking. "Delilah," he said with a smile. "How good to see you! Do you want to swim with me?"
He fell backwards, floating in the water now that he was far enough out, his arms loosely floating in front of him. Then he realized, him, swimming alone with a young girl, might smack of being... wrong in some ways.

"Yes, please," came the soft answer. Delilah stepped in until the water covered her feet, reaching up to her ankles, and she looked down into it for a moment in contemplation. Then she looked up at Antony again. "But I don't think I should go out as far as you since I'm smaller. Uncle Kiet told me about undertows the other day." She paused. "So please be careful, too."

After extracting herself from the Karaoke Stage, Cecelia wandered further down the beach to the water, where someone had told her there was going to be swimming. Now Cecelia, being a wood elf, wasn’t too adept when it came to water, especially salt water. But she was willing to try anything once.
Never mind she didn’t have a parent with her, or a towel, or a bathing suite. She was willing to give anything a go, at least once.

"I believe the undertow's a bit further out," Antony said blandly, smiling slightly. "You'll be fine."
"And if she's not she can cling to you!" Thanatos said from behind him. Antony twitched slightly in reaction, but covered it quickly. "Come on out. It's a good day for the first swim of the year." He glanced over at Cece, noticing her lack of swimsuit and figuring she was just watching the waves.

"Well..." Delilah looked down at the water tickling her feet and finally nodded. "If you say it's safe, I suppose it will be." Then she began wading further in until the water caught at the hem of her saron, wicking upwards to darken the green fabric. Once the water was just over her knees, she twisted to look over her shoulder. She raised a hand to wave a bit at Cecelia. "Hello. If you want to swim, you should probably ask your mama for a suit, Cece, or you'll mess up your clothing."
Then she began picking her way further into the water with careful, delicate steps.

"I promise if one of us gets pulled into the undertow I'll make sure that it's me," Antony said as he floated lazily. "How have you been, Delilah? You're still as lovely as a princess, of course. That swimsuit is quite becoming on you."
"Oooh, so you're flirting with her, as well?" Thanatos asked. "I'm going to have to make a list to keep up with all your various girlfriends. And ALL of them are younger than you! You really do like living up to your reputation as a *****, don't you?"
Antony ignored him.

Delilah immediately rewarded Antony's flattery with an exceedingly pretty smile and paused in her walk outwards. The water lapped gently at her thighs, soaking her sarong (which she had forgotten to remove and place safely on the shore, about par for the course). "Thank you," she answered. Her hands folded in front of her. "I would rather if you didn't fall into the undertow either, though."
