Night-time sharpens,
heightens each sensation
Darkness stirs and wakes imagination
Silently the senses abandon their defences ...Fiereza moved slowly through the forest seeking the darkest of shadows, her ears pricked picking up each sound. She gazed into the cool night air with bright ruby red eyes. This night she knew at last what her emotion was, what she hungered for. The black and white female sought her match, sought a mate.Slowly, gently night unfurls its splendour
Grasp it, sense it - tremulous and tender
Turn your face away
from the garish light of day,
turn your thoughts away
from cold, unfeeling light -
and listen to the music of the night ... She had waited until the sun was completely set before moving to find him. What she wanted this night had no place in the harsh light of the sun, it belonged beneath the moon and the stars, in the safety of the darkness. She gave a soft smile as she came to his tree, his home. There was the rich scent of the herbs and roots he had collected, and his own unique smell.Close your eyes and surrender to your
darkest dreams!
Purge your thoughts of the life
you knew before!
Close your eyes,
let your spirit start to soar!
And you'll live
as you've never lived before ...Fiereza inhaled deeply and murmured softly to herself before slipping into the shadows asking them to bring their master to her. Asking them to share her feelings with him. She knew they could only convey so much, she would have to give her feelings a voice when he came. She had never felt so strongly, even a pristine pelt of the most unique hue could not tear her away from the task she wished to complete this evening.Let your mind start a journey
through a strange new world!
Leave all thoughts
of the world you knew before!
Let your soul take you where you
long to be !
Only then can you belong to me ...Slowly she lifted her head gazing outwards as she hoped that he would feel the same for her. That he would allow them to act on these emotions that ran wild in her veins. "Please...Adolfo..." She whispered into the darkness.You alone can make my song take flight -

The night had a sweet, very delicate scent in the air. The scent reminded him of some night flowers with a full moon white blossom that held a beauty that he felt was matched with one face, but that face was held only in his mind, a mind filled to the rim of darkness. Though he was fighting a calling to move from everyone he knew, for at least a few weeks.
The shadows slipped in and out of the willow's ground touching branches, but there was a soft song he couldn't quiet hear in their playful whisper. A whisper that they were intentally keeping out of his grasp.
Why, then he smelt the scent of Fie outside of his small odd den. Moving the herbs back in a tight circle around the trees trunk, Adolfo slinked out of his den, hearing a plea slip out of Fiereza's maw.
"Please, What?" he questioned softly, the thoughts of their last hunt making his mind go fuzzy and then clear with the scent of her only in his mind. "Fie, what's wrong?"

Fie looked at him suddenly her courage seemed to flee, how could she explain what she felt this night? What she had been feeling. She slipped closer with a tip of her muzzle in her usual respectful greeting. Words seemed to lodge themselves in her throat keeping her oddly quiet. She swallowed a bit of the fresh night air and looked at him longingly for a moment.
"I...I'm alright I just...wanted to share the night with you. I felt...alone." She murmured softly her voice held only a trace of uncertainty. Her skin warmed despite the soft night breeze. Slowly the dark female moved to sat down her white paws pressed the earth beneath her claws making nervous little furrows in the ground.
"If you don't mind..." She added her gaze staying locked onto his.

Watching her, the longer she seemed to stay uncharacteristically quiet, he got more worried, even as she did her normal greeting thing. The shadows reached out to embrace her, at the look of longing.
But once the dark wolfess spoke he couldn't help but give an accepting smile, even as his heart did summersaults in his chest and his tail tip swayed behind him. Stepping forward and nudging her with his snout, Adolfo spoke, "I don't mind at all, my dark Fie. If you would like to get one of your bedding skins you could bring it into the willow, I was just working on some root preserving." Adolfo didn't know if he should tell the wolfess that he had been craving another's company since their hunt, but instead of talking about it, he had gone nuts on getting different roots as the weather ripened them at the right potency.

The shadowy female smiled and nuzzled him in return feeling her heart give a giddy skip. It was amazing to her how she could feel these things, how she could identify emotions that before she had failed to feel and understand. Was this why males and females acted so strangely at times? Was this love? She didn't know what names to give certain emotions, for she loved her pelts, but this emotion was stronger then that. She nodded to Adolfo and slipped off to bring back a large fluffy pelt. She dragged it half into Adolfo's den and smiled sitting at the edge.
"Bear...it's warm and large enough for the two of us..." She was overjoyed that he had invited her company, perhaps it wouldn't be so hard to explain how she wanted to put actions to her feelings. Not the violent actions of her past, but something new and tender.
"Your healing skills have improved along with your mastery of the shadows, I'm very happy for you..." She gently touched her muzzle with his sharing the joy in her eyes. She had watched his powers ripen and in turn she had become peaceful, calm, happier.

Adolfo smiled and watched Fie beam with the emotions that had seemed so foreign to her when they first met. Amazing really at the thought of the seasons that had passed to get them to this point...well her really. The two-toned male watched as she slipped off, the shadows following her to her den, as he slipped back to deal with the roots.
Before she even brushed past the branches he knew she was coming, his regular ears could hear that much, the pelt she dragged with her was twice Fie's size, a Bear's pelt she informed him.
"Wow, how long did that take to aquire? Or do I even want to know?" he asked as she even said it was large enough for the both of them. Something he gave a generous smile for.
However, the mention of his healing and mastery of the shadows made him shake his head. "Not as much as I would like. I'll be leaving the area tomorrow night, that is why I'm preserving everything now, I don't want it to spoil while I'm away." He confessed just as her muzzle touched his, making his body warm.

She smiled and slowly settled to lay down beside him before his words reached her. "Your leaving?" She looked a bit sad at the news yet it made her all the more determined to share something special with him this night.
She gave a soft sad smile "I think I'll miss you, now that I know how to...Adolfo..." She spoke his name with a soft caress, normally she called him the master of shadows, but tonight she savored his given name. She gazed up at him the sadness in her eyes replaced by the longing she had felt for quite some time now. Before she had watched him her eyes taking in the grace of the shadows, now she looked at him his fur, his muscles, the way his eyes always shone.
"Could I stay here while your gone? I promise not to mess with anything." She smiled softly pressing a bit closer hoping to see a sign that he shared the same feeling she had for him.

Placing the last preserved root into the ground next to the trunk he looked at Fie and gave a twitch to the tip of his tail, but nodded his head. "I will be, the shadows are still in more control then I would like them to be," he openly admited and circled beside her three times before laying down. The bear's skin was warm as she had informed him and different on his paws.
The use of his name got his ears perked. "It's rare, if at all that you have used my name, Fiereza. I know I'll miss you," his eyes shimmered in the darkness of the willow as he looked into those longing eyes. Eyes he wanted to sweep the longing out of.
At her question, he shook his. "The shadows will keep the roots and stuff that shouldn't be tampered with safe, so no need for that promise, my dear." Then he nuzzled her neck, "You can make this place like your own den if you wish, I wouldn't want you uncomfortable in here if you do stay in the willow."

"I'm sure you'll tame them..." She smiled softly her body relaxing as he laid down. She slowly moved to rest her muzzle with his grateful to know he would think of her as well. Even more grateful that he would let her remain in his special place, a place where she felt the safety of the shadows.
"Thank You, it means so much to me..." She murmured and nuzzled him gently. "I've often wanted to come share the night with you this way, a feeling that I was uncertain of at first. Tell me Adolfo, it is not just desire I feel, not just hunger, but a deep pang, a need stronger then my old urges to skin. It's a beautiful emotion, but I am uncertain how to share it with you..." She looked at him her ears falling back a bit in uncertainty. She wanted to crate something special for them to both remember while he was away.

"Let's hope so, otherwise I maybe gone for a long time," he stated wagging his tail and then nosing her maw in a soft almost playful manner. That took one weight off of his mind, the shadows were the most concentrated in his willow, those only he offered the entrance of could pass into the tree, other wise the shadows were walls at strong as a stone cave.
"I'll know you're safe here, even when I'm gone." He whispered and then moved one of his front paws to rest upon hers. Adolfo raised his masked face up as he pondered the words that was in her question. If not desire, not a hunger, but a deep pang, stronger then the joy that was found in skinning, what was that emotion called? Was this a complex riddle? That it was, but then there was one word that popped into his mind.
"Love," he murmured the answer, and looked at Fie. There were different ways of expressing love, there was Family love, there was a love between friends and then there was a love for lovers. He had a clear idea for the first two, but the last one, the male only knew how it felt to love another, or two now as it seemed, but not how to fully express that feeling.

Fiereza gazed into his eyes a small smile playing across her muzzle as she felt her skin flush with warmth and her heart thunder in her chest. Love The word itself finally had some meaning for her, now she understood it, and now she felt it, she only hoped that Adolfo felt it too. She gently touched his nose with her own ruby eyes meeting an emerald gaze, two pairs of jewels matched in the night.
"Do you feel it to?" She murmured softly afraid her voice would break the moment they shared, the moment she wanted to last forever and a day. There was a way to make a memory, an act of beauty and passion, the question was would Adolfo want to love her?

The shadows moved out of the willow, as if going to give their master and the one that Adolfo now recognized they called their mistress. The touch of her wet nose to his was electrifing, just as the spark that seemed to leap between them. Something though, pulled at him, not recognizing the exact thing he just heard Fie's question.
"Yes," he answered and licked her nose.

The lick made her tail waver and brush against his, she was closer now two forms, like one in the darkness of the night. She heard his response and her heart leapt like a wild animal. If he felt it, perhaps she could share it with him, share the beauty of this night with him before he left. She slipped her muzzle beneath his neck and nuzzled against him happily.
"It's beautiful...It makes me want to make something beautiful." She murmured.
"Not a skin..." She added softly gazing up at him.

The white tail was and brushed against the other nearby. The scent that was in the air told his basic 'male' instinct what Fie wanted and what he also wanted.
Another dark face tried to reel up into his mind and his soul tried to pull at the common sense in which Adolfo had always prouded himself on, but the shadows swept in like an angry gush of wind and pounded the image back out of thought. They also killed the tugging on his soul, leaving him to the night a head with nothing to pop back up.
A soft satin chuckle flowed from his throat, "Mistress of Shadows, I hate to have to break it to you, but you only preserved the skins, you didn't make them." He liked her ear, hoping not to have offended her, but looking over his shoulder the shadows seemed to stick around like a barrier.
"I say..." he faultered looking back to the wolfess and her ruby eyes, the shadows coursed him, making the air swim with their pent up energies. "Making a memory of tonight, would be a connection to last a life time." The male just wouldn't know how true he was with this statement, a connection of either good or bad, just the next morning or months later would tell.

She gave a soft laugh the sound blending into the night as it was carried slowly away on the wind. "How right you are, nature made what I was so pleased to take." She smiled softly and nuzzled him "When you go away, when you master the shadows, try to think of me? try to send them my way with...something." She looked down her tail giving a single sway. Fiereza was slowly starting to feel another emotion entwine itself within a heart she had thought not so long ago was empty and cold.
She gently licked his muzzle and slid against him "I will keep our memory of this night forever, what we share is not only the love of the shadows, of the night, but love." She understood the word now, she felt now, and knowing Adolfo felt the same she was ready to finally act on a natural desire.
