[[ This was a post for a RP, but it sounded good so I decided to start a story with it. This is the first part - I'll add more very soon If you have any comments, PM them to me]]
Alex's foot made a light crunch as he edged his way though the snow littering the frozen wood beams of the torched house. He knelt down and flipped a button on his helm. A thermal display popped up showing blues though yellows. There was a red heat spot on the other side of the square, a group of people warming themselves by a garbage can. Alex grunted to himself and continued to scan the area. No other signatures were present, and Alex flipped off the vision. He moved out of the house, bending right and heading though the shadows towards a broken gate. His heavy boots made a very light crunching as he padded up to the metal ornate gate. The group across the square opposite the large supposedly abandoned Canadian embassy didn't notice Alex as he slipped into the gates. He swept left and jogged to a side door. He grunted as he shoved the heavy metal door open, and entered. "So, there you are" a heavy Russian accented voice spoke up. "Yea, well ******** you" Alex retorted, dragging his helmet off and slamming the door shut. The suddenly noticeable sound of the wind once he had taken his helmet off was suddenly cut off with a slam. "Ha!" the voice said, Alex stepped forward and grabbed a still steaming cup of hot chocolate off the desk and drowned half of it. "Why do you always add Tabasco sauce to that?" Alex questioned, making a grossed out face. "******** you" the voice laughed, throwing Alex's insult back at him. Alex laughed back and walked down the one hallway in the room. "There you are!" another Russian yelled, this time he was in the open, a massive 6' 4" giant. He was dressed in a Heavy over coat and a cap, looking like the commissar he was. Alex grunted as the two hugged, "I have a post for you, at the border" the man started. "Not a ******** boring guard post!" Alex shoved, "you better not tell me that BS!" The man smiled back at Alex, "Calm down, we have reports of a small Blue rose infiltration there, Just go check it out" he explained as they walked into the Armory. "Yea yea" Alex nodded, he unloaded his rifle and began to strip off his gear. "When do I head out?" there was a slam as he dropped his body harness onto the metal table. "Three days" The commissar said at the door, "see you then." Alex nodded as the man turned for more important business. "Wonder what this'll turn into" Alex said to himself, as he dropped his coat onto the table and began to unstrap his bullet proof vest.

Alex walked though the halls, nodding to a few people as he passed them, but generaly just ignored them and got ignored himself. He turned into a darkened collapsed corridor there were two doors there, one on each side. One went outside, and the other was Alex's temporary room. He used a key from his pocket and shoved the warped door open. He took his key and slammed the door, "stupid piece of crap" he grunted as he flipped the privicy lock and began to strip out of his body suit. He was soaked with sweat and he just wanted to do two things. "Welcome back" a female voice echoed sweetly though out the room. "There's one of those things now" Alex said to himself, as he smiled down at the naked girl on the bed. he dropped down onto her and the rest of the day melted away.
"Really? you really gotta leave?" the girl said dragging her clothes on. "Yea" Alex sighed pulling an undershirt on and taking a sip of a very poorly flavored hot chocolate. At least this one didn't have Tabasco sauce in it, he thought to himself causing a chuckle and a squirt of liquid to fly out of his mouth. "That sucks" the girl pouted taking the cup and draining it, she made a nasty face at the taste and walked towards the door. "Well that's my good bye present then" he smiled back as she undid the privacy lock. She grunted and slammed herself into the door, and then pulled out. The door screached as she dragged it half open, "I hate that thing" Alex caught her say to herself as she walked down the corridor. Alex smiled, shook his head and walked out, grabbing his body suit. Might as well get it cleaned now, he wasn't going to get a chance out there.

The screech of morter shells, explosions and gunfire filled the air. They all covered the screams of the dying. Alex smashed though a ruined door and dived behind a sand bag wall two meters away as a stream of bullets flew towards him. He landed with a metallic clunk, he crawled over a dead body and rested against a pillar. He was dressed in his heavy armor, large metal pieces covered his legs, upper arms and body. His helm was the same. "Oh great, the day before I leave there's a giant a** war" Alex rolled his eyes and spun out, firing his LR-300 in short bursts. They chewed up the sparse cover the assaulting force was hiding in and left several of the attackers down. "Now!" Alex shouted over his helmet speaker. The five other Black rose soldiers joined Alex as he bounded out of cover towards the bush line. He fired the remains of his magazine into the bush and quickly flipped his magazine around, slapping it into the chamber as he threw himself feet first into the remaining men. The five others followed and a short fire fight broke out. Alex simply pumped a magazine into 4 men, one of them he had landed on. Alex was breathing heavily and took a second for calm down, "fall back to the wall and take these weapons with you" he said to the others as he moved off in the direction of a large explosion. The soldiers nodded and began to drag the bodies back to the sand bag wall. Alex Crept though the bush towards the screams and gunfire. It was the front of the embassy, there was a smoking crater where the gate used to be. Alex stopped short as he saw two tanks pounding the front of the building. "Holy..." he breathed before jogging off into the shadows. Aside from the tanks, who seemed to be more occupied in destroying the building rather then shooting something wroth wile. There was about 30 soldiers using the tanks and a single smoking APC as cover. Alex swore again seeing the several hidden gun emplacements in the first floor destroyed. Well, time for a big boom he thought to himself, he turned and quickly ran back into the crumbling embassy. "Someone get me a RPG!" he started shouting as soon as he was truly inside the building.

Alex stumbled as the gas grenade went off, he was suddenly glad for his re-breather incorporated into his helm. He fired full auto into the smoke where the door should be, he dropped his rifle and drew his pistol. His rifle was on a strap so it hung on his chest. His fired twice into the door and then dragged the weeping black rose soldier around a door where two more men with masks stood over watch on the door. "I need to get out there" Alex said to the men as he dropped the man and began to reload his Rifle. "Got ya" one of the men said, "try the window back and around the corner, it's made to fall apart quickly." A flurry of bullets from the door cut the conversation off as the two black rose men fired back into the room where more enemies were crowding. Alex nodded and fell back around the corner and three rooms up. He creeped though the room and checked out a crack of the boards. There was two men there, both heavyly armored and obviously well traiened. Alex was sure he could hear a noice to his right and he backed up and flipped on his heat vision. "oh crap" he said seeing a heat signature with its hands infront of it on a wall. "Right then" Alex mumbled to himself checking the load on his grenade launcher. He lifted his rifle up and sighted though the window boards. "Got ya" he said firing a three burst though the wood and glass and into the face mask of one of the men guarding the bomber. The other two shouted and fired back though the window, it was a poor angle and the shots went wild. Alex fired again, putting a bullet though the second mans chest. The third bomber sudenly reached for something and Alex jumped out the doorway just as an explosion blew out a section of the wall. His ears were ringing and his vision was screw up because of the overload on his helm. He quickly flipped his eye guard up and rolled away from the door way. He lifted himself up shakely and sighted the door.

Alex grunted, he still had a head ache and his 'way out' was surrounded by gunfire once again. He shook his head, getting an RPG was easy, using it was the hard part. He had replaced his eye guard and turned off his thermals. He was crouched behind a hill. "BR? or WR" he said to himself searching though the contents of one of the men he had just killed. He couldn't find anything of interest, and gave up. Shoving the mans ammo into his shoulder bag. His radio static ed, and the heavy Russian commissar came on, "Alex, get out of here, you need to get to the border." Alex turned and started off towards a hidden garage, and then stopped. "Wait, why is it so important?" he commed back. "It just is!" a shout came in Russian. Alex winced as his ear piece squealed. "Ok then" he said to himself jogging off into the night.
Alex jumped into the freezing heavy duty white off roader. It was a truck, but it was lowered quite a bit to hide it a bit better. He turned over the engine and wished he didn't have to use an engine. But the border was a long way away and he would need it or die before he got half way. He revved the engine and took off into the night, snow kicking up behind him as he bounced over the rocks and pot holes.
The truck creaked as it bounced onto the road, Alex yanked on the wheel and the truck slewed over. "Well that was fun" he said to himself hitting several buttons on the dash to defrost the window. "God I hate this snow," He started the engine again and took off down the road. It was two more days to the border post, and he had to get there as fast as he could.

Alex swung the wheel left, countering the right handed spin. It didn't work and he felt the truck just swing more. He swore as the back end crashed into a tree. The wooden obstacle ripped into the bed and the rear axel. He sighed, but left the engine running. Making sure the windows were rolled up, he folded down the seats and began to strip. He cranked up the heat in the truck, letting a hot breeze blow over him as he took off his stained armor. "It's good to be out of that for a while" he said to himself cracking the window, turning off the lights and laying down for a light sleep. When he got up he would redress and resupply with the case of ammo and spare parts in the flatbed.
Alex woke with a start, "well that was a nice nap" he said to himself looking at the clock. He had been asleep for 10 hours. He didn't have much more time, well, actually he had all the time in the world. But he always liked to time himself for the fun of the rush. He got up, rolling up the window and lowering the heat a bit. He took his weapons and field stripped them, checking they were clean and loaded. While he did that he also checked his suit for damage, there was some scorching, but nothing bad. Nodding he dawned his armor and loaded his weapons. Sealing his suit against the cold was the most important step. He was sure he wasn't going to see anyone for a while, and at the moment, the cold was his worst enemy. After securing his weapons and armor he hopped out, turning off the idling engine and leaving the keys. He had made sure to eat and to strip the cab of any weapons, symbols, and ammo. He carefully hopped up on the back of the truck and smashed open a frozen tool locker. "Oh, how nice" he said to himself, as he drew out two RPGs, several boxes of ammo, and a heavy machine gun. Smiling to himself he wished he had something to carry it in. Sighing he checked what ammo he could use and left all but 1 of the boxes. He took the Heavy and one belt just in case. It was only for the fire power and he could drop it on the way if he needed. Nodding he jumped out of the truck and took a snapped branch from the tree. Prodding his way though the thin forest he set off towards the border.
Alex groaned as a heavy wind almost swept him off his feet. It most likely would have if he wasn't covered in heavy armor and carrying 50 lbs of equipment. He hated snow storms, but he was in the middle of a field at the moment and he knew he had to get to the other side, and into the forest where he could bury himself a little hole to hide. He swore to himself, wishing he had stopped for the day before crossing the massive field. It looked clear and hoped the light breeze of snow would cover him if there was anyone watching it. It was a shitty a** idea and he cursed himself for crossing. Another breeze blew into him, this time with enough force to throw him slightly forward. He smashed into something, "who the hell puts a tree in the middle of a field!.. wait." He was at the other end of the field. "Sweet!" he shouted into his helm, struggling into the forest. This one was denser, and the snow slowed a bit several meters in. Dropping the heavy machine gun he had been carrying he dug quickly into the snow, making a hole so he could rest. He shoved his back into the hold and hefted the machine gun, pointing it at the entrance, "you just try and get in here" he said to no one. A few more hours of walking and he would reach the border. It would be dark when he got there, perfect cover to see what was up.
