Chaos had been away longer than he had wished. He still wasn't done with the recruitment process of the 'herd' he wanted to start up, but he needed to check on the family. Samedi was left with their three young daughters and he was sure she probably wanted a break by now. Then again, for all he knew, she could have them in control. She had that way about her, one that just demanded the attention of others.

It was still a shock to him, finding out he had three daughters this round and three sons before. What were the odds of that happening? He wasn't particularly a good father, at least in the whole 'love' category. He could teach them to fight, to be proud and strong, but he wasn't really an emotional sort. That was fine with sons. They often did not seek out emotional of their parents, especially their father, but he had to admit, he was worried about the girls. Girls in general was overly emotional usually. In fact, one of the things that attracted him most to Samedi was that she was NOT your typical mare. Perhaps if he was lucky, his daughters would not be as well.

His daughters were a big part of why he wanted to start this herd. While he could teach them to fight, it wasn't enough against the Skinwalkers and Kalona. Though he was not one to show he cared, that did not mean he did not care. He wanted his daughters safe.

She was feeling rather... lethargic. Her daughters were a handful indeed but luckily they seemed to keep occupied among themselves. Though if that was a good thing or not was still up for debate. She walked, graceful and quiet as the dead to the tree line, her curled hair caught up in the night breeze to float like spider webs long abandoned. Her eyes skimmed the night, the winking lights of the stars given the lead roll in the sky, the canvas empty without the overpowering moon, but still, their daughters were easy to spot if you knew what you were looking for.

She grinned, faint and deviouse. Ahh there it was, the glimps of a crimson skull, tailed by a spinal corn like some horrific comet. The flash of running legs... a rig cage floating on its own. They were... unique yes... but to her there was nothing more beautifull. It took her back to days of when her sons were yoiung, so long sence she had seen them, haveing taken their own paths in life. She missed her mate, her strong dark unicorn, but she was independant and strong as well. And though she longed for his return, she had survived, and she knew he would come home some day. As far as she knew, Chaos had never seen the new one outside of their baskets... she wondered what he would think of them, so feral and free as they were.

Salubri grinned, her red mask twisting into something dark and terrorfieing, her red eyes giveing off a haunting glow as she pawed her one red hoof on the ground, ripping up the grass beneath. The trees around were dead, lost forever to some horrific event that had killed off their leaves and left them ashen and dark. Her tail swished and she charged at her tailbone glowing out from the strands of her tail, the spiraled bone horn glinting. The spinal cord shineing through her back moved as she ran, swaying with the movement of her body as she lowered her head.

He walked, calm and wary to his new predicament. Misfortune was so new to this he wasnt sure what to do, but he was strong, and he would trudge on. His tail whipped back and forth, lion like and whipping as his eyes narrowed. It had been so long sence he had tracked this way... but his parents deserved to see... deserved to know.

She narrowed her eyes... odd purple orbs so different form the rest of her familys crimson eyes. There was something off about the little filly, as if she wasnt all there or even if she was that it might not necessarily be a good thing. She swished her tail as he sister charged, and gave a short, lowering her own spiraled black horn to follow suit, her tail swaying behind her to remind someone of a shark cutting through the water. Unlike her siblings who ble into the night, their bones shineing out with starteling clarity, she stood out like a single ember in the dark, her body alight with a red glow that highlighted the blones of her legs and hips.

Melancholy frowned at his brother, being so loud and... bouncey. He kept close to his fathers side, scarlket eyes glanceing around at the forest... it was so different fomr his mothers home. Orange blossom who thrived and tended to the liveing plants, was allways surrounded by the bloom of summer or the lush green of spring, no matter what time of year... but this place... was dark and haunting, filled with sharp edges and soft noises that unnerved the little unicorn. The hoiot of an owl made him jump and scoot closer to Misfortune, the little filly givieng off even stronger the sent of tangy oranges in his unease.

The stallion couldn't help but grin when his daughters came into sight. They were beautiful little creatures to be sure. It was easy to tell that they were a part of his family as they reminded him a lot of their mother. H could see a lot of himself in them as well, especially in their racial features. He wondered how different raising three girls would be from raising three boys. "How are my girls today?," he called, announcing his return. He wasn't sure what they would think of him. Would they recognize his voice from their time within the basket? Would they be able to put two and two together based on his own appearance? He wasn't sure.

Samedi stopped and turned her head. She knew that voice... and there her was. Standing dark and proud as the day she stomped up to him as a child. A faint grin curled her skull and looked at him. Not saying a word but seing him made her heart at ease. Every time he left she did not know if it would be the last or not.... but if it was the last time she could always know he would put up one hell of a fight and try and take his opponent with him. Her strong, stubborn stallion.

Salubri stoped when she hear the voice, skidding to a hault and whipping her glowing red skull in the direcftion of the voice.... lowering her head automaticaly, pointing the tiny baby horn at the speaker.... then... she realised. She rose her hear, hers perking to the night sky... " DAAADDDY!! " She yelped with a sqeak and bolted for him, her singular red hoof standing out in starteling clarity against the other three cream colored.

Misfortune blinked... he heard the squals of foal. He blinked and looked at his two sons... suddenly confused.. why on earth would there be foals out here? Unless... Oh god he hoped not, he did not want the image of his parents procreating again in his head. he made a face and then was brought to his sons attention. He blinked down at the little foal. SO cheerfull, so upbeat all the time. But he could swear that often out of the corner of his eye he could feel the foal studying him with cold calculation.... but...

" Daaaaddy!! " Fern said again, nudgeing his dads leg. His son had not been graced with a horn... or so he though... The child had a sort of bleeding spot on his forhead. at first he though it mabey an accident of ramming into his brother skull on skull... but several weeks had passed and he doubted it.. wich made him worry. Was it capable that his son could lie to him, wich both his body and his personality? he shook the thoughts from his head and gave a faint smile " To visit you grandparents " he said, and moved forward, hearing the voices grow louder.

Melancholy blinked as her sister veered off course. She turned, violet eyes watching her sister dark off to the side, and she saw him to, haveing been to set on her charge to have heard him speak. " Pappa!!! " she said. Not paying attention the little bone hoobes caught on a rise in the ground and she was sent tumbeling to the ground, skidding slightly to a stop. A Bit dizzy she shook her head and looked back to her dad.... there... was two of them? Her pale hair was covered with dirt, dinging her brilliant coat to look almost brown in the night scenery. Riseing to wobbly legs, she swished her tail she took off after her sister, makeing a B-line for the dark stallion.

Melancholy watched thelook of concentration over his fathers face and frowned a bit. He didnt like this place to much..... He had never been here and the forest was so brambly and twisted that he could not remember the path in his mind. He stuck close to Misfortune as his brother did, his eyes narrowing, glareing determinedly at the forest around him. Up ahead he could see a dark stallion with his backed turned to him, two little fillys at his side. The stallions build was much like his fathers, but he was unfamiliar to him. He had never met hsi grandparents before so it was hard to recognise them.

Chaos lowered his head and rubbed his horn with Salubri's much smaller one. This one came out such a wonderful blend of her mother and father. It was impossible not to know who the parents were. He couldn't help but feel a little pride at that, much like he had done with his son long ago. "You must Salubri." It wasn't hard to guess since the foals matched their baskets well.

Chaos darted forward when Malkavian had fallen and when the little filly reached him, he lowered his horn to her head to heal any wounds she might have endured. Though he knew that it was a part of growing up, the father in him didn't want his baby girls to ever get hurt. It was so strange how that protective instinct flared within him so strongly when it came to his girls. He didn't want to gender stereotype though but sometimes it was hard to get out of the way he was raised. He knew Samedi was tough as nails and he was sure his daughters would be as well.

Once his daughters were nuzzled once more for good measure, the large stallion walked over and gave Samedi the same attention. "We have company," he whispered before raising his head towards the distance. He wasn't sure who was heading their way but he could tell that company was on the way nonetheless.

Malkavian grinned, pranceing about in a circle, a slight tingly feeling sweeping over her body as her father healed her minor scrapes and grazes. Her tail siwshed, the tipp puffing up and her ears twiched about, grinning untill the sensation passed. Chaos made his way over to his mother and her violet eyes followed, makeing a suitably grossed out sound when her parents got what was their equivelant of "kissy face", makeing a gag face at salubri. She blinked.... hearing a faint snap of a twig and whipped her head around, haveing not heard her father whisper to her mother, haveing been to busy makeing gag noises.

Melancholy poked his head from around a bush, tiny little horn glinting... there was.... a whole family of them.... The stallion and the fillys he had seen before, and a mare with a bone skull. They all looked so exotic to him. His father was by far the most interesting of any soquili he had seen untill now... and sadly neither he or his brother had gained any of his distinctive features.... the skull or the starteling cream colored mane... it was almost as if his fathers colors and patterns were diluted in the two of them, even if he was the same breed as misfortune.
