Another day another... shot. The children had been coming in steadily again, something that rather pleased miss Abri. Giving classes were all well and good - she enjoyed them - but vaccinations meant that she could meet a multitude of children, all at once.
A baslisk was going to be interesting.
She was moving around, cleaning things as she could find; little habits that tended to annoy people. As a general rule, Abri was a neat freak; being a messy doctor would just not do.

Turner had sent him to get shots. The boy, unlike most his age, could actually be trusted to go by himself and get the horrid things.
The quiet, well-mannered [albeit rather disconcerting] boy entered the croom, no longer in pink, but rather a dark red tanktop, white suspenders, and white pants. As his golden eyes searched around, they registered his brief confusion, however it disappeared the moment his gaze met his teacher's.
"Good afternoon, Miss Johansen."

It was the pink boy! Abri twisted around to give the not-so-pink child a bright smile, turning completely to give him a look over. Here was a basilisk, in the flesh, so to speak. What was Allen thinking, creating a beast that could turn things to stone?
Still, he was interesting. Far be it from Abri not to like an interesting looking child.
"Hello, Ai'Shern! It's a pleasure to finally meet you." Another smile and she turned, patted a table top. "Before we get started, could you tell me anything I need to know about any - ah - abilities you may have? As we will be touching skin."

Ai'shern gave the good doctor a soft smile and a nod in greeting before gracefully pulling himself up onto the examination bed. "No, ma'am, the danger is in my eyes and will, not skin."
Still, other than his reptile-like appearance, he seemed good-natured, and not about to hurt her. His arm was offered, calmly.

"Really? Well!" She clapped her hands together, and beamed. "That's wonderful news! I rather like being flesh and bone, you know." After she confided in the young thing, she plucked up the sterilized needle, humming cheerfully under her breath.
"This will just sting for a minute, lovie. It won't hurt." Another smile, a cotton swab on his elbow, and a scant three seconds. One. Two -
Needle! Squeeze.
Then it was over, and he had a band-aide on. Abri was still smiling.
"That wasn't so bad, was it?"

Ai'shern hadn't even reacted, and now he smiled slightly, nodding his head. "You did not lie." The boy eyed the band-aid. "Thank you, Miss Johansen." An odd child, he was indeed.
A pause. "What did this shot protect me from, if I may ask?"
