This island is right behind the castle. As all islands it is completely surrounded by water. The one reason why we have complete control over this island is all the underwater volcanoes that surround it, making it very hard fro plain water elementals to make it to the island. Hot springs are found everywhere especially toward the middle. Around the large hot spring in the center is one of our forts, complete with a library and four towers. The library is where conferences and many other meetings are used for. This base may not be one of our strongest but is highly reinforced. Fire is in great power here but water is also so we must use the volcanoes to our advantage.

From the west, Seth flew in low coasting over the water and displacing it with a faint trough. As she and Maryl finally made landfall, they ascended to keep clear of the land below. The springs weren't terribly far out from their position. That plume of steam was impossible to miss she dove back down over the trees, setting Maryl down and landing just outside the spring area. Seth could already feel the rising steam against her skin from the entrance. "Well, we're finally here. It's supposed to be a great spot to relax."

After being set down, Maryl patted her clothing and bags to make sure nothing was missing.since everything was where it should be, she let out a smile and nodded in agreement to Seth's statement. A nearby building caught her eye and slowly dragged her focus to it. "Hey, there's a library here too. I wonder what they have?" Leaving that thought aside, Maryl began walking ahead, entering the gate and heading down the path for the house within the hot springs area.

Seth glanced over at the library Maryl pointed out. It looked vaguely familiar, actually a little too familiar. "I think that's the location of the Tinker's Union archives. Just the things they don't keep on base for one reason or another. I've only been there once though. I don't remember what's down there, I didn't get to see much anyway."

She started after Maryl heading up the path to the reception house and walking in after her. It didn't occur to her before since out front was mostly decorations. She tapped Maryl on the shoulder and quietly whispered, "Um... I don't think they provide bathing suits." She glanced over to one side of the room. "only towels..."

Maryl got a bit of a nervous feeling, a case of stomach butterflies. "heh...", She had no response to Seth and instead approached the clerk. After a small chat with the woman behind the desk , Maryl came back with a scroll and unfurled it so Seth could get a clear look at it. To reiterate in a nutshell, Maryl spoke up, "nope, no suits. We have to wash up before and after we wade into the spring. They want us to leave our equipment in their storage locker. Spell casting and elemental powers aren't allowed." Maryl rolled up the scroll and pointed to a door on the side. "You go ahead and get in. Since I borrowed the scroll I'll check in." Maryl smiled. The butterflies hadn't gone away but at the least, it wasn't a busy day. She quietly turned and took the scroll back to the clerk before speaking up about a time slot.

Seth took a deep breath and headed for the door Maryl pointed out. The sign next to it said 'changing' so she entered and took a turn for the women's changing area. It was fairly clean and maintained. It looked like it was a pretty slow day, there was maybe 3 or 4 other people in there. After a few seconds to select a spot, Seth quickly changed, leaving her clothing and boots in the slot in exchange for the fresh towels and robe provided. Naturally the robe was much too large. Seth had to ball up the tail end to keep it off the ground, and roll up the sleeves so she could free her hands. For the bit of time it took she probably wouldn't have to wait too long for Maryl.

Maryl finished up with the clerk and entered the changing room looking for Seth. She wasn't particularly difficult to find with the very low traffic. Maryl couldn't help but giggle noticing Seth making a fuss over the size of the robe. "Sarah, here," She smiled holding up one of two smaller robes given to her by the clerk. ", They don't get many kids around so they keep these in the back."

After handing Seth the smaller robe, Maryl turned her focus to the strange cubby hole storage arrangements within the room. Not wanting to impose on anybody changing she took a very brief look around. It looked like the little slot was supposed to be accommodating for everything she had carried. She set her robe down on the bench and quietly took her hat off.

Embarrassed, Seth quietly took the robe offered by Maryl then an about face before switching them. Maryl looked to be a bit bashful which brought back a memory from some days ago. "I'll be outside." She said before filing over to the washroom. After a quick cleanup and a switch to a few towels, Seth moved on to the hot spring, taking a step off the edge and dropping into the water. There were a few others out there but they seemed to be grouped across the water at the other edge. Seth took one glance back toward the door then looked back down, twiddling her fingers in waiting.

Since Seth had taken off fairly quickly, Maryl had a feeling that she understood. She took a deep breath and looked around to make sure nobody else was looking before she finished changing. After a few minutes to get cleaned up and ready, Maryl finally emerged from the building and took a few hasty steps to the edge before dropping into the water just next to Seth. Blushing, she looked down at the water and her hands beneath the surface.

The spring's waters, the warmth and seeping steam were rather soothing. It wasn't enough to calm that uncomfortable embarrassed feeling, but it felt wonderful none the less. Maryl slowly looked over to Seth at her side without turning her head. "The spring waters are pretty soothing aren't they?"

"Yeah," Seth replied," I should tell dad about this. Maybe he won't be so high strung." Seth looked out over the water and around the springs but she could sense Maryl's feelings in her words. "Don't be so bashful. Nobody around here's gonna give you weird looks." Her eyes traced to a woman looking down at them as she passed by, "Well not for any reason besides the fact that we're the youngest here", she sighed shaking her head. The steam made it pretty easy to forget her woes.

Maryl sighed trying to calm down. "You're right, but I was always a little self conscious back at the orphanage. We were packed in there like sardines and I was one of the younger smaller kids." In the thoughts and memories of the orphanage dancing around, not all of those events were bad. She leaned back to loosen up a bit from her being balled up in the water. She still felt a bit uneasy considering there were so many adult women hanging around but Seth didn't seem bothered at all. Maryl wanted to be like that.

Relaxing in the quiet spring and watching the sun travel toward the horizon was worth the trip. Though after whiling away the realizing the time Seth raised her hands above the surface of the steamy spring and looked down at her now pruney fingertips. She sat up and tilted to face Maryl, leaning toward her. "Say Maryl, did we have a time limit on how long we could be here? I didn't bring my time piece but I'm pretty sure we've been here two or three hours."

Maryl was almost startled by the break in her dozing and jealous longing from Seth's chatter. "Hm? Oh! I think we just have to be out before dark." She looked down at the water and curled up again. "If you want to leave now that's fine." She brought a hand out of the water and looked at her fingers. She let out a mildly bashful sigh and smiled. "I think I know how a boiled vegetable feels, and speaking of which, I'm getting kind of hungry."
